"I am a frequent customer of this restaurant and usually have positive things to say about it. However, tonight I had a very disappointing experience. I waited for an hour and 45 minutes for my delivery, only to receive onion rings that were inedible, cold, and soggy. The burger was also cold and the chips were lukewarm at best. I live only half a mile away but was unable to drive, so I had to make my own tea instead of enjoying a meal after a long week of work. I was extremely disappointed and will not be returning as a customer in the future."

"On a wet stormy Friday lunchtime we took shelter here and this turned out to be a good choice We had our dog Mutley with us but this resturant was dog friendly and we were all welcomed in with a smile. This set the tone for the exceptional service/hospitality throughout our lunch stop There was a large group in so we were not expecting nor wanted because of the weather fast service but when we said this they appreciated it but said they would get our food out easily but we're welcome to dawdle great service and nice to know they were not trying to push people through so you could enjoy your lunch time treats! It's located on the front with a veranda an indoor area all with some good views onto the harbour or into the street. It's a modern minimalist warm setting and smart decor Drinks and menus were quickly organised but we were not rushed at all which meant we could shelter longer with drinks!!"

"Ordered 2 fish, 2 chips and a sausage two hours before it eventually arrived. Hardly a difficult order. No apology from driver. No apology from restaurant after phoning 2 3 times the woman at the restaurant said our order was ‘en route and would be seconds’ 15 minutes later, nothing. 25 minutes later, nothing. Rang to get a refund after, when 2 hours had surpassed, the food was cold and inedible, and got extreme animosity down the phone and ignorance. Told me to contact Uber directly, who, in themselves, are quite difficult. Aggressive tone throughout, seems to be a common theme there. Still, no apology Twice we’ve ordered from here now and been left with a poor taste in our mouths. Would avoid completely. Poor service, poor quality, poor timing. Poor everything. I could go on, but the poor people over there might have a bullying claim against me lined up."

"had such a good day so decided that I and my other half deserved a little tasty so paid for fish and chips delivered not only was eating on his side and the curry sauce was open and over the bag. but the food was stone cold and half of my meal was not even there! they collected us 3 sausages when we only ordered two, so I think there is a plus side, but then again they were not even cooked! chips lacked at my meal and the one we had were terrible and stone cold! they called them to know and they called me down and everyone put me down £18,00 of the geldes we shouldn't have really literally spent in the müll! always check explains that they let themselves be guided by me when I think I feel that way."

"We have been ordering from HotBox in Trowbridge since moving into the area and although their pizza is good, their delivery service is absolutely awful. Consistently the orders are at least 30 minutes late and sometimes over an hour. Unfortunately for us, it's the only halal pizza take-away in the area so we are somewhat limited in options, so we have let it slide in the past. Today I placed the order specifically for 8.40 as we were expecting guests. At 8.50 i was told by the manager that the pizza was in the oven and would be with me no later than 9.15. At 9.25 i left my house in order to collect, only to be told it had just left, yet was delivered a full hour late at 9.40. Asked for a full refund in store, only to be fobbed off returning home to a barely luke-warm pizza. I don't often write negative reviews but today was the last straw and I'd rather drive 20 minutes than endure such a amateur delivery service."

"I just wanted to tell you how disappointed I am with your serve. Tonight was the second time in as many weeks that I came to you just before your listed closing time of 9pm. I was there at 8:50pm only to find that you were closed. "Absolutely shameful service ordered a cheese and tomato pizza, which picked up with slices under the pizza and stuck to the box. called to explain the shop and the manager was nothing but rude and ignorant and said there was nothing he could do. so we then took the pizza to the store that is less than half a mile away and showed the staff....they didn't care and said it wasn't wrong there, but the delivery driver had admitted that they dropped the pizza before they did not deliver any refund or replace the pizza. Attitude is lively and they should definitely not run a kind of reataurant. AVOID!!! there are a million better places to order in Carlisle."

"Myself, my husband and children stopped to have lunch at The Kingfisher restaurant after looking for some time for a place to eat. The staff were really friendly and when we explained that one of our children is autistic and will need a to...have a bisboke lunch, they were really accommodating. The food was quick and absolutely delicious!! We all enjoyed our lunch and we thought it was reasonably priced. This is a great place to eat and recharge. On leaving we all visited the toilets which were clean and great hand washing facilities. We will definitely be back!! Sue"

"Lovely lunch for a birthday meal. Fish and chips had a beautiful light batter and fab chunky chips. Pork belly was so tender and just fell apart, my Husband enjoyed every bite. Beef and pancetta burger was also spot on. Service was quick. Good atmosphere and I also bought two amazing sausage rolls to take away. Very keen to return again soon!"

"what can I say that I have been living here for 12 years and watched the steady decline of sir harry’s Chippy corner, which only introduces cash in the whole business and serves them absolute filth! so a few months ago island house took over and it was new and very fresh and until today I could not mistake it. although I will say the prices would show that we also paid for the refit! my biggest grip of sir harry’s was that the kebab meat was always pre-cut, then put in pots to go all dry and hard and island hat did not do that at the beginning, but guess what it is with a revenge back. we don't want us to get on the way. it's bad enough if that's getting dry, but to lammdon all dry and actually so chew I still get out of my teeth half an hour later! all I first talked to them was that this won't happen that we are not sir harry's good guessing what the new besen has slept clean. they give it 6 months, they will be the scalliops again and again and add the three-layered dough on the scallops. everything the customer wants is to order a kebab and see that they cut it fresh from the spits! Yes, it is perhaps busy, but the people are waiting for a quality product! Just like sir harry’s I had my last eat of them and at £7.00 for kebab meat and chips I am better paying a £1.00 more and get a nice king prawn rice with hafen sir harry has 5 years of my residence, island house has not 5 months before taking profit over customer satisfaction. it's a quick fall from the gnad!"

"We had made a reservation at this restaurant for a special occasion two months in advance. The day before our reservation, Open Table asked us to confirm our booking, which we did. However, when we arrived at the restaurant on the day of our reservation, we found that it had closed down, ruining our special occasion. Today, Open Table sent me an email thanking me for dining at the restaurant and asking for a review. I checked the Open Table website and saw that the restaurant was no longer available for booking, indicating that Open Table must be aware of its closure. It is disappointing that Open Table did not inform us of this closure and continues to act as if the restaurant is still open. This lack of communication greatly affected our experience and I will be more cautious in relying on Open Table for future bookings."

"We have been looking for an F&C shop to have our 'fix ' before travelling to France and so glad we decided to try Master Fryer. The cod and plaice were large and perfectly cooked, batter was superb. We ordered a large chips between us, as previous experience tells us portion sizes are normally small, but this was a LARGE portion and we couldn 't actually finish them (which is very unusual for us as we have very large appetites! . To put the icing on the cake the staff could not have been any more friendly, which is so important even if the food is nice but staff not so then we would never go back. This will definitely be a regular stop for us and I recommend the same for anyone else, local or passing through. Thank you to the staff for doing an amazing job"
