"The restaurant was utterly vacant, with not a single customer in sight. One staff member was present, but they were not particularly helpful. We found that we couldn't order half of the items on the menu. It took us over 20 minutes to navigate the app and add food to our order. The atmosphere was dull and lifeless, with staff wandering around as if they didn't care. This experience completely spoiled what was meant to be a lovely wedding anniversary dinner. In the end, we decided to give up trying to order and left, as it would have been over an hour before we got to eat. While the prices seemed a bit steep, they might have been worth it had we felt welcomed, managed to place our order, and actually tried the food."

"The staff at this restaurant are not only lovely, but the food is also fresh and delicious at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is pleasant, with delightful decor and generously sized portions for the savory dishes. The desserts, on the other hand, are not just generous, but absolutely massive. The options and sauces for the giant waffle, huge crepes, and gargantuan pancakes are incredibly delicious. I can't think of any criticisms to share, as my experience was thoroughly satisfying. "To our surprise, I was asked to pay upfront even though we hadn’t received any food or drinks yet. I declined, opting to pay after our meal, a decision that proved wise. While we waited, a Just Eat delivery driver entered to pick up an order. He politely showed the manager his phone with the order number and requested that social distancing be maintained. Instead of cooperating, the manager shouted at him, refusing to hand over the food because he couldn’t see the phone clearly. He even told the driver to find another job and not to return. The manager then yelled across the restaurant for someone to handle the situation since he didn’t want to deal with the driver. A woman in a tracksuit eventually stepped in and handed the order to the driver while the manager continued to berate him for simply trying to do his job. After this disturbing encounter, the manager came to our table to justify his actions, claiming that if the driver needed to practice social distancing, he shouldn’t be a driver at all and that he had the right to check the driver’s phone. I disagreed, stating that the driver might have vulnerable family members and this job could be his only option. In an astonishingly inappropriate response, the manager exclaimed, “BUT I WAS HAPPY TO GO UP TO HIM AND HE COULD HAVE HAD AIDS!” I was taken aback and could hardly believe what I had just heard. He backpedaled slightly but continued insisting that the driver might be diseased. At that moment, our server returned to inform us that they had also run out of chili. In disbelief and disgust, we decided to leave. Overall, it was an appalling experience, completely marred by the ignorance of the staff. Would not recommend."

"A group of seven who pre ordered ate here last night. The place had a nice atmosphere and great decor. Not particularly busy for a Friday night. The food was tasty and portions fairly generous. The presentation of the food was not great. Its is a pricey place to visit but not bad if you manage to get a deal. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately our bill was wrong we were charged for meals we hadn't had. The error was rectified but it did take a fair while to sort! I will return but not if I had to pay full price."

"Booked a table in advance, checked menu's online for dietary requirements. Arrived 19:00 to an empty restaurant with 2 chef's . Was taken to nice table, but then was told no gluten free options were available. I explained I had checked the menu online which differed to what he was telling me. Chef's shrugged there shoulders. I feel they prefer to supply the stream of delivery drivers than serving in house to clients. We will not be returning."

"We came for lunch on a Sunday quite early and ordered one Chicken Shawarma, x 4 Sweet Potato Fries, Cookie Dough Bonanza and Kunefe. 5mins later the waiter says don't have any of the desserts we asked for or the Chicken Shawarma so we said we'll take 4 drinks and fries, another 5mins later a different waitress came to inform us they didn't have any sweet potato fries, eventually we cancelled all the food as they couldn't give us what we originally came for to order. We drank our drinks in an empty restaurant (I wonder why) and the floors were sticky on the way to the restroom. This place used to be great hence why we came today only be let down by the low standards that have befallen this place. They could of got the sweet potato fries from Home Bargain next door, it would be understanable if it was near closing time. Did the cook not inform the waiter/waitresses what wasn't available to order beforehand? Just made them look clueless"

"**Gourmet Disappointment** I recently visited the Newport branch of Gourmet 4 for what was supposed to be a special anniversary meal on Saturday, October 9th. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be quite the opposite. Upon arrival, we eagerly browsed the menu and decided to order the Bottomless Brunch, which we paid for with high hopes. After waiting for 40 minutes, a lone staff member—who was juggling the roles of waiter, bartender, manager, and receptionist—finally approached us. To our dismay, he informed us that he was unable to serve any alcoholic drinks because he didn’t drink himself and lacked the necessary training. Shockingly, he couldn’t even open a bottle of wine! To make matters worse, we learned that the Bottomless Brunch we had paid for was not actually available, and our request for a refund was denied. This left us completely stunned, especially since we had anticipated enjoying drinks and cocktails. In his defense, the overwhelmed staff member did allow us to go behind the bar and choose our drinks, as he was unsure how to handle the situation while also managing multiple takeaway orders. We ended up finding two bottles of sparkling wine, which we had to open ourselves since he didn’t know how. When the food finally arrived, it was mediocre fast food—not terrible, but certainly not worthy of the ‘gourmet’ label. Describing it as gourmet would be like calling Johnny Vegas beautiful. The presentation was lackluster, served without condiments or cutlery. After some time, we finally managed to find the staff member again, who sourced some cutlery for us but stated that condiments were unavailable. Personally, I find a dry, unsalted, un-ketchupped chip to be a culinary crime! For dessert, we ordered two cheesecakes and a brownie, but only received one cheesecake and one brownie. After waiting another 15 minutes and inquiring about the missing cheesecake, we were met with the less-than-helpful response from our overworked staff member: “Sorry, we’re…” Overall, this experience was far from what we had anticipated. If you are looking for a true gourmet experience, I would recommend seeking out another venue."

"I visited the Crewe branch today with my daughter. We were the only ones in there which wasn't a problem. We were given the menus and once we were approached by the waitress, she couldn't tell me what was in the loaded nachos!!!! Not a great start when waiting staff doesn't even know the dishes. I had to ask her to find out since the menu gave limited information. We ordered nachos as a starter, waited a fairly long time, then I noticed the burger we'd ordered out ready for collection..... Before our starter!! . When I confronted who I thought was the manager, she yelled from one side of the restaurant to the waitress who served us, to query the order! Not very professional. Nachos were OK. I ordered the chicken wings and was very disappointed when they arrived to see 12 small end of the wings rather than a selection of the knuckle and end pieces. No meat at all on the ends. Not value for money. Chips were tasteless. The venue is advertised as different street food companies, so gives you the impression of the likes of a street market in a shopping mall. Nope, everything cooked in one kitchen by the same chefs......... So how they can describe it as a revolution in dining is beyond me. All in all 3/10 and we won't be going back."

"My overall experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing. The mobile app was not user-friendly and lacked descriptions for the menu items, which made it challenging to make a choice. I ended up having to ask a waiter for physical menus. The service was also very slow; we ordered four drinks, but only two of them arrived. We had to approach the bar to inquire about the missing drinks, and only then were the others prepared. Additionally, I was informed that Coca-Cola was out of stock, so I had to choose a different beverage. This information should definitely be included in the app. The drinks were also overpriced. It seemed like the restaurant was understaffed, as the employees appeared stressed and overwhelmed, whether they were at the bar, on the floor, or in the kitchen. While the concept of having a food bar is appealing, it doesn’t make sense to operate with such minimal staff in one kitchen, especially when the menu is so extensive—it ultimately affects the quality of service."

"However, after placing our orders, we faced a long wait for our food. The pizza arrived 15 minutes before the rest of the meal, and we were not informed that the garlic bread was included. Eventually, three burgers were served, but after another 10 minutes, we had to inquire about my daughter's chicken burger. It turned out the chef had completely overlooked it in our order. The pizza remained untouched, as it was quite bland. I then requested a refund for the missing items, as my daughter didn’t want to wait any longer for her meal. To say the evening was disappointing would be an understatement. The manager eventually came over to apologize and offered a full refund, acknowledging that his staff were doing their best; however, it seemed that the focus on delivery orders took precedence over the dining experience for those present. It may be beneficial to have a cook who can manage both delivery and dine-in orders, ensuring that seated customers are not forgotten."

"We were SO looking to going to the cereal cafe as we are lovers of cereal, me especially and I was a great supporter when they first opened. We went in on a Sunday late morning and got in time to be seated just before it started getting busy. We were supposed to have table service but they were very busy and the guy behind the counter only looked about 14 so we were prepared to go up and order. Only thing was a lot of other people got their orders taken before us so not only were we waiting a very long time before we ate, but everyone besides the lad were moving at a snails pace. There was no sense of urgency or keeping up with the orders despite it really starting to get busy. My partner has many years experience in hospitality so it wasn't like we weren't sympathic but the level of apathy was unreal. Paper orders mean that someone is still running up and down the stairs to get the bowls made up rather than having one person upstairs taking orders and doing drinks, and one person making cereal downstairs. Just seems really inefficient. Two guys left because they were waiting for their coffee. This was a Sunday as well, not even a Saturday. The concept is there and they're obviously popular but wouldn't recommend to dine in until they get the system sorted. It's such a shame because I love cereal but I can't go back if I'm going to be waiting an age for my breakfast. FYI you get up to 4 types of cereal in a bowl, and extra toppings are 50p. The choice of cereal is supposed to be what's avaliable behind the counter but this isn't always accurate and the same goes for the milk."

"This was my first time dining here. I typically don't order desserts, but since we were having Indian food, my partner and I decided to treat ourselves. We were seated at a table for two and quickly made our order once we found what we wanted. Our food arrived promptly and we enjoyed the snowberry crepes with ice cream. The dishes were delicious and presented nicely. The restaurant has a good selection of products and offers excellent customer service. It would be even better if there were more employees out on the floor to welcome guests, but overall, our experience at TAMU was enjoyable. "So I made an order on uber eats, as you can see in my order I asked for a chicken kebab wrap. Not only does the packaging say “Lamb kebab” but the wrap was also filled with lamb. I rung the shop up and they basically told me I was lying and that it was chicken, and told me that the writing on the packaging was a mistake. I can assure you this tastes and smells like lamb, AND looks like it too. I hung up in anger as they didn’t seem to be doing anything to correct my order. In all the experience with this place was shocking and their customer service was very bad. Never going here again, not being called a liar over the phone when it’s clearly lamb."
