Succulent pork belly, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with a tangy glaze.

"I love this place so much, I have fed here almost weekly for about a year and I will never get bored! I give only 4 stars, as in the last time I feel that there is a little of its flare lost the bean sprudel, lime and chili dishes that they usually get with their phó has dropped in size and does not seem so fresh (might have been like that day) and unfortunately have the fresh spring rolls (especially those with tiger prawn my favorite,) at the same price, but instead of two you have also brought water to your table, but now you just have to cry around the other guests to get some water (it is not the end of the world, but I have always appreciated the kindness.) in general the taste of the soup, sauces and rolls amazing! and for a delicious price (not only in comparison to london standards.) I recommend this ort to anyone who needs a picky P.s strongly recomend the rare bark pho actually gets her with rare pieces and u can even get twice the bark for £1 more! and not be shy with the Siracha sauce at the end of the suppe if they have never tried it, it really adds a kick"

"First visit with friends for dinner 11 Nov 16: cozy open fire and comfy leather seats in the bar area. Decor a bit bland and basic throughout the bar and restaurant but the service was genuinely friendly and food was a fab surprise. The bar style menu belies the great food within. We had rib eye steaks and venison Wellington style and it got served to a 'wow ' factor. The food presentation and food was on par with more upmarket restaurants, and price competitive. Will go again and recommend. Keep it up. N Reindl"

"Even though Rock and Rose has a few flaws as a restaurant, it's great fun for a night out. The drinks menu is long, good value and very well executed. Cocktails like the Hibiscus Royale are delicious as are mocktails like the Rock and Rose with passionfruit and cranberry. Food on the whole is very well cooked and diverse the menu is very hard to choose from due to the good flavour combinations and variety; but having said this it is not exciting and certainly doesn't reflect the decor or vibe of the restaurant. My Halloumi salad with tomatoes and pearl barley was nice as a starter, my girlfriend's lamb rump with herb rub and potatoes was very tasty and my teryaki chicken, though a little dry had a fantastic spicy sauce and well cooked rice and broccoli. The dessert of cheesecake and berry compote was again very picturesque and well presented and moorish too. On the whole a really good buzzy experience with lots of pro's to go with a few minor cons."

"On the back of a couple of reviews we booked a table at Hide Seed. Our experience was like being on the set of Fawlty Towers but John Cleese was not the manager in fact there was no manager, only a porter who acted as waiter for the evening and a young lady who had just started working there 2 days previously. Once our meal was ordered it took 1 1/2 hours for the first course to arrive. Those on the next table had finished their main course before we even saw our first. As a sample of our meal: hummus was warm as it was served on toast on a piping hot slate platter; hake was not seasoned; dessert of almond and rosemary cake with beetroot sorbet was inedible. But they were gracious enough to not charge for coffee. We shall not be returning there."

"This is a beautiful place with super friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. The food is edible and will satisfy your hunger. But it was boring and uninspiring. I suppose burgers or salads may be ok but we went for more restauranty dishes on a Saturday evening. Pastry on a vegetable Wellington was undercooked and soggy. Duck was ok. Fish of the day was a small sea bass which was very thin and over cooked, served with roast new potatoes which were a little sour (as opposed to say nice boiled potatoes served with butter and mint). Bread and butter pudding was undercooked doughy stodge with a tiny jug of custard. A berry pavlova was good however as this appeared to be freshly prepared. Overall though the food was bland and dreary. You would get better quality buying a premium supermarket prepared dinner and reheating it at home. Maybe there is little demand for a good restaurant in Wellington but this place was half empty on a Saturday night so what they are doing is not that successful. Mediocre food at demanding prices. The super charming venue deserves better."

"This is one of our local pubs and, when it was refurbished, we were very impressed. The price was on the higher side, but the menu was amazing; plenty of reference to local suppliers along with some inventive takes on traditional pub food. Service was awesome (almost personal) and the specials board was brilliant. Consequently, we have been here several times, but this last time was a disappointment, especially as far as the menu (which they used to change regularly) was concerned it was just ...well... ORDINARY ... Standard pub style offerings, nothing particularly inspiring. Don 't get me wrong, it tasted fine, was presented well and was of good quality, so I suppose it 's a little churlish of me to make comment; but for the price, I was expecting more of what I got last time they seem to have played safe since we last went... Perhaps that what the great British public want, though? Service was on the slow ish side, ...too few staff... said the waitress, with at least half the tables full, there was one person on the bar and the wait staff were run ragged I hope they get well paid, because they tried their best to remain cheerful. It 's still a nice place, the food is 'fine ', just don 't go expecting to be blown away."

"We chose this pub to take a small break on our way to the Battle of Hastings historical site, which was an easy walk from train station. Very friendly staff and a nice chocolate cake slice made us decide to do Sunday roast on the way back. The food was good, especially the roasted vegetables and the Yorkshire pudding. We chose to eat in the back garden, which had picnic tables and a play area for kids. What made our experience so nice were the friendly staff."

"We had the most amazing few days stay, at the Grand Hotel, in Grasmere. We stayed in room 44, which was a Classic Lodge. This was one of 5 lodges, just off the main hotel. The room did not disappoint, super, comfy king size bed, bath and shower with Molton Brown shower/bath and hand wash. Breakfast was included. We had our evening meals in the hotel restaurant. All our food was absolutely delicious. We had a starter each. Classic Seafood Cocktail Dressed crab, crayfish, avocado mousse, lettuce Marie Rose dressing. Crispy Duck shredded duck leg, julienne of vegetables egg noodles salad with hoi sin sesame seed sauce. For our main, we had the, Chateaubriand Fillet of beef cooked to your liking, served with chips, roquette , heritage tomato salad, buttered seasonal vegetables peppercorn sauce. Perfect to share between two. Absolutely superb. Louise, hotel manager is so lovely, very welcoming, polite and friendly. Her staff, were so friendly, helpful and attentive. They couldn't do enough for you. We bumped into Louise just outside the hotel, our first morning out. She advised us both of a lovely walk around Rydal Water. We was not disappointed. Would highly recommend hotel Grand, and will most definitely return. Thanks for a lovely stay. Date of stay: October 2021"

"Good to find this in the centre near Portsmouth and Southsea station, 2 mins walk. Chinese fast food to eat in or go, freshly prepared. Friendly service- sort of choose your own items from 4 sections of the menu and then the chef prepares it,...usual chicken, prawns etc and then a good selection of veg, topped off with a sauce. Served in a US style carton box. Slightly too much sauce for my liking, but no big deal. Side orders of prawn crackers and spring rolls, other items too. Soft drinks. Nice for a quick bite, but not a relaxing Chinese restaurant of course."

"my daughter insisted that we visit chaophraya in some places to appreciate the aromes. we were not disappointed. I chose the chickensatay star and the green curry with cocos rice main to measure the stack dishes. I also chose a scallop ceviché to experience the unique chaophraya side of the menu. all dishes were served very quickly and efficiently. only the aromen of the dishes on the table were mouthwatering enough, the aromen were even better."

"I love Farang and brought my boyfriend there to try, and whilst the food was great, the service wasnt and all our food came out in the wrong order with the main first! It was very loud unbelievably hot inside too (the windows were steaming Will definitely go back again for food, but would love it if the service was also upto scratch."

"I had a wonderful experience dining here for the first time. The menu was outstanding. We started with mussels, frito misto, calamari, and beetroot hummus, which were all fantastic. The main courses were equally delicious: we enjoyed the "burger of burgers," whole plaice, barberry duck, and minted pea risotto. We paired our meal with plenty of wine and topped it off with a raspberry crème brûlée and tawny port. The total came to about £30 per person. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. I'm definitely planning to return and bring some friends along!"

"Wow, this place is a hidden gem in the heart of Camden and definitely worth a visit. When you first arrive, you may think Anmee could use a bit more decoration with its simple bench seating and whitewashed walls, but don't let that deter you. The menu offers a variety of pho, bún, noodle salad dishes, California rolls, and sides at very affordable prices for being in central London. During my visit, I ordered the roasted duck bún and some prawn California rolls, which were prepared quickly by the chef and served beautifully by the attentive staff. The California rolls were a delight with their vibrant colors and fresh ingredients. The duck dish was equally delicious, with subtle hints of sweet, sour, spicy, and crispy flavors that made for a satisfying meal. They also provided sriracha and hoisin sauce at each table, along with a generous amount of crunchy chiffonade. If you find yourself in Camden, be sure to stop by Anmee near the railway station for a memorable dining experience. You won't be disappointed."

"A nice place with very good food. On this occasion the service was extraordinary and not in a good way so I couldn't recommend it. Our food was plonked on the table each time and interactions were limited to the barest minimum and bordered on sheer rudeness. We were made to feel like an imposition. They were very busy and therefore presumably under pressure so for example we had to wait a long time for our main course. This in itself would not be a problem if it had been communicated with an apology in a normal, friendly way. The service was delivered in a really unpleasant manner and spoilt the high quality of the food. I think and hope this must be an exception, otherwise they would not be so busy."

"Everything was very well thought out and the individual flavours were delicious. We especially enjoyed our oxtail tortellini with prawns. We wish the portion of that dish was bigger it was that tasty. Our mains were generous and full of flavour. Our shared panacotta dessert took a bit too long to arrive, although the waitress was very attentive and aware of this fact before we even thought to bring it up. This wasn't her fault and everything was handled very thoughtfully. The service in general was exceptional. The overall value for everything we consumed was a little steep for a neighbourhood restaurant (110 for two people and the portions were small enough) but we were late booking and want to try the early bird, which is considerably cheaper. All in all, our experience was highly memorable and we'll be coming back for an early evening visit next time!"

"a cozy and friendly place for Sunday dinner. the portions were generous, swarming a little on the bland side, but the veg and yorkshire puddings more than for them. loved the choice of the fascinating beer and it is so good to choose a third or two third pints. we all chose something different and all were happy. I'll be back in a moment."

"its the third time I have been to the forge and previously I have to say the service was good and the food excellent, unfortunately on Saturday the service from the kitchen was very poor. we waited 15 minutes to get a menu and it took nearly 40 mins to receive our starter. the main meal was also 30-40 mins from order. which ruined our evening. we did highlight this to the manager who couldn't have been any more apologetic and even gave us our wine for free- this didn't really help as I'm more than happy to pay full price for my meal as long as we receive a decent service. fully appreciate there may have been extenuating circumstances around this issue but we went out to celebrate a happy occasion with me and my wife and it was pretty much spoilt which is a real shame."
