"We chose this pub to take a small break on our way to the Battle of Hastings historical site, which was an easy walk from train station. Very friendly staff and a nice chocolate cake slice made us decide to do Sunday roast on the way back. The food was good, especially the roasted vegetables and the Yorkshire pudding. We chose to eat in the back garden, which had picnic tables and a play area for kids. What made our experience so nice were the friendly staff."

Popped in after visiting the auction and, though it was nearly 2 pm, we were warmly greeted and sat at a nice table in the beer garden. We both ordered scampi and Mikey was very prompt with the service. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Absolutely perfectly delicious roast dinner.really friendly and polite staff, brilliant family run pub atmosphere with an inflatable bouncy in a well confined safe space. The menu isn't complicated or overly large which shows their commitment to getting what they do just right.

5 out of 5. Cracking pub that has a proper boozer feel but also is family friendly. Great pub garden which is a sun trap, climbing frame and bouncy castle are brilliant. Beer is top quality. So good visited twice in two days. Definitely a new favourite. Sunday roast is great value and tasted deliciously!
