"it's sad to see how every visit in tokii, the service goes simply continuous. on my recent visit I was told that they could not serve me because the kitchen was not ready for the afternoon tea set I requested. they place the responsibility on open table and blame it on a communication error between the app and them. it was clear, however, that the restaurant had shown the reservation on the screen and since there were 5 hours from my booking to the actual date, there was enough time to inform us about the missing availability. the host offered to book us for another time, but this is not sufficient compensation for all guests who travel all the way to try out their products only to be put on the door. I acknowledge that it is not quite tokii fault, but as a hotel restaurant that is proud of its hospitality, there is much more to wish than that."

"Lovely place in the Dukes hotel tried to go for a drink first in the bar but there was no where to sit and people waiting outside so a good tip prebook the bar and the restaurant although the restaurant was very quiet all evening so another tip don’t book because they take a £25 per head deposit if you don’t give a few days notice to cancel, so if you were sick on the day either turn even if you had Covid or lose your deposit Food was great and all dishes come as small or large plates so you mix and match your starters and mains, the wine prices can be a little lively, £65 for a Pinot Grigio really! But the French house wine and Italian red were a good price. Service was great but there were only a few guests. To serve so it should be."

"I usually come here for lunch with a friend, but I was disappointed during my last visit. The restaurant was busy, with many young children at nearby tables. However, the service was lacking and the food did not meet my expectations. It appeared that they were short-staffed as we struggled to get anyone's attention to place our order or ask for the bill. Our meals were overcooked, which may have been due to them sitting on a heated plate for too long. Although the food wasn't terrible enough to complain and ask for a replacement, the overall experience has made me reconsider whether I will come back or look for another dining option."

"Bad time to ask me to write a review... ???? Maybe it was the heat but todays visit did not go well, been here a number of times before with zero issues. Its a great location in the nice weather.... but things went awry this time. Slightly over 2.5 hrs to get served a 3 course meal even after prompting gently that we were still waiting. Multiple table visits by different staff querying what had been ordered, what we were waiting for, serving the wrong order to the wrong table. Even the bill at the end had to go back twice to be amended. Even then the itemisation was still wrong, I lost the will to live at this point, paid and left. Shame as it was my mums birthday weekend. It hasn't put me off though as the ambience, location and staff in general are and were great. Just one of those days I hope..... ????"

"the restaurant was a little quiet, but soon a bit filled. Now I have to say if they are looking for a party atmosphere, thirty six is not the place for them, although it is ideal for a relaxed and quiet night and the perfect place for taking the elders. tori and I would like the new rustic menu with an amuse bouche by apfel and sellerie suppe. the suppe was delicious creamy and the perfect way to warm my dicks from the icy cold night. it was accompanied by two fluffy mini-loaves that had a beautiful crust. I have to admit that I thought the menu was a little limited, as there were only four options for the starter and four for the main, but happy for us we saw some of our favorite dishes available. tori chose the white crab with avocado and pink grapefruit, a very light fresh and cesty dish. the court is actually more reflective for the kindness of the cook; nigel mendham grew up in norfolk and spent his summer on the beach clam picking and crawling and then he would return to home to cook with his mother. nigel has drawn inspiration from the background in norfolk for the dishes on the menu."

"good food, friendly service, good value. Four of us arrived for a quick lunch before the Kelso races. I had a pastrami bloomer (sandwich). others had a big suppe, tipper pate (lots of it) and black pudding, all served immediately. the young had a nice pint of bright ale. make sure to select from all three menus. pizzas and desserts are in the drink menu. very confusing! we were surprised and disappointed to discover that face masks in Scotland are still mandatory."

"I recently visited The Wilmington for their Sunday Roast with some out-of-town friends. This place is now on my list for future visits and for satisfying my own Sunday Roast cravings. The menu offers a variety of options, including a vegetarian roast and traditional British dishes like fish and chips and scotch eggs. The Sunday Roast comes with a choice of beef, chicken, or pork, with additional specials like lamb and cote de beouf. Unfortunately, the lamb had already sold out when we arrived for an early dinner, so I recommend going earlier to avoid missing out on the specials. The scotch eggs had a delicious runny yolk and the pork and black pudding layers were well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. The bone marrow on toast starter was a substantial portion and served with crumpets, allowing you to fully enjoy the bone marrow. The staff were friendly and happy to make recommendations from the menu. The pub offers a great selection of beer and wine, as well as specialty spirits. The atmosphere is cozy and away from the busy city center. Overall, a fantastic experience at The Wilmington."

"We have always enjoyed coming here for a coffee during the summer months , but unfortunately today we had really poor service. We came in just for morning coffee. The place was around 60 65% full. It took 10/ 15 minutes for our order to be taken then a further 20/25 minutes to receive a coffee each. When checking how long it would be the server apologised and said she would check this then took a further 6 minutes to get the coffee. At this point she told us apparently the order had only been put through 11 minutes ago. Which means whoever took our order didn’t bother putting it through for quite some time. The only positive to the visit was the till assistant at the end who was really polite and friendly. just to add that in this time other people had been/eaten and left."

"Thoroughly enjoyed the Prosecco Afternoon Tea at the Itchycoo Bar and Grill in the Radisson Blu Edinburgh. Staff were extremely friendly and so helpful. My friend felt unwell at the latter end of our afternoon and staff couldn’t have been more attentive in looking after us. Will most certainly be back."

"Took some friends here as I had been here several times before and thought it was superb. However on this occasion it did not live up to expectations I'm afraid. I booked this on a Groupon deal 2 x vouchers. 4 cocktails and 2 sharing platters. In the past we have had a choice of cheese, chacuterie or a hot vegetarian option. All 3 are deicious and plentiful. On this occasion we were only offered a meze platter which quite honestly was small and not very interesting. We did manage to persaude them to give us a chicken kebeb with salad for our 2nd platter which was very nice but still did not live up to our expectations. They said the change in menu was due to a kitchen refurbishment but we were not advised about this when we made our booking. Cocktails were lovely but not as strong or nicely decorated as they have been in the past. It's a shame as it's a nice bar but unfortunately beginning to drop in standards now!!"

"My first choices were not available so my third choice was the ‘slow roasted’ pork belly. I checked this out on the Instagram account to see if it looked crispy on top and well cooked which it did. When it arrived it was basically a pork belly slice which had been under the grill for a while. It was very fatty and firm not slow roasted and falling apart as I would have expected! The chef said ‘it was a particularly fatty piece’!!! Which made me wonder why he served it? Surely he would only want to serve the best, well cooked food as it’s his kitchen that is judged by the quality presented to the customer. I ended up with the roast chicken which was just average Disappointing."
