"It took over an hour for our starters to arrive, and they forgot my husband's completely. The same happened with our main courses—another meal for our daughter was missed. There were zero apologies; at one point, I got a frustrating shrug when I asked about our food. The food itself was terrible. There was no bread or pizza available at all. My mother-in-law ordered seafood linguine but only found three empty clams in it, with nothing else. Despite the two forgotten meals, we weren’t offered any discounts on our bill or even an apology. I was so embarrassed to be there on what should have been a special occasion. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it at all costs."

"This was my first time coming here and the reception was excellent, even helping with choosing a wine. Good service, excellent food and no delays. The atmosphere is cozy and depending on the type of table, you can choose between a more visible spot or something more secluded. The design is elegant, giving a sophisticated setting where you could easily lose track of time. The dishes are completely Portuguese but with a creative touch. I ordered the grilled octopus with white asparagus, sautéed potatoes and guacamole and it was heavenly! I highly recommend this place and I plan to come back for more!"

"On a positive note, the food was absolutely delicious. However, the service unfortunately fell short. We found it difficult to get anyone's attention to order another drink, request the bill, and complete our payment. This dinner was meant to celebrate new jobs and a new baby, but the poor service tarnished the occasion. For such an expensive and celebratory meal, we left feeling disappointed and let down by the overall experience."

"I can find working in the city a bit souless at times, especially when it comes to restaurants. There are a couple of great ones (for example City Social, Duck and Waffle and Goodmans) but they are definitely on the treat yo’self list, unless work is paying! I personally think there is a lack of interesting places to venture to for lunch. That’s why I’m happy I have L’Anima Cafe just within reach of my office. Being based at Bank it’s a good 15 minute walk, but oh so worth it. L’Anima Cafe is the sister to the award winning L’Anima just around the corner. This is a more informal setting with all day dining and great for after-work drinks. There’s also a deli for food-to-go. I’ve eaten here only twice but I hope I make many more visits. On my first visit I had a terrific lamb ragu: a rich, deep and salty ragu over parpadelle. I have thought about it many times since! This time we shared a couple of starters: an artichoke, asparagus and anchovy salad with pecorino shavings and a simple tomato, basil and garlic bruschetta. The salad was light and fresh with the moorish saltiness from the anchovy, a really wonderful dish. The tomatoes were seasoned perfectly on the bruschetta, however a couple of pieces came out a bit burnt as you can see, so we ended up eating the tomatoes but leaving the bread on those pieces. There was a veal ragu on the menu this time which I did contemplate ordering but thought I should change it up a little. There were some great fish dishes but in the end I ordered the spaghetti alle vongole: clams with garlic, chilli, parsley and white wine. This is one of my favourite pasta dishes and it did not disappoint! The al dente spaghetti with the soft salty clams and a slight kick from the chilli was wonderful. The parsley in there keeping it nice and fresh. Oh, I wish I was eating a plate of it now! Another pasta dish was also ordered, the fettuccine primavera. This entailed saffron, broad beans, peas asparagus and courgette flower. I had a taste of this too and it tasted garden-fresh, if that makes sense, really clean and light. A lovely dish. My other colleague wanted to order something different to us; the daily special of sole was decided upon. It was humungous! It came served with slices of crisp potatoes and cherry tomatoes. Oh my god, the flavour in the fish was incredible and so juicy too. We struggled to finish it all. All in all a great meal. Just two small points, the staff can be a little slow and also, last time we ordered the broccoli pizza and it was pretty bland. So I would avoid their pizzas. But everything I’ve ever ordered has been very good and rather beautiful too. It is very much full of suits mid-week but I imagine there is a different vibe in the evening and at weekends as it pretty much on the boarder between the city and Shoreditch (it’s right by the Queen of Hoxton). One day soon I hope to try L’Anima next door. But in the mean time this is the place to go for great Italian food!"

"The food was good and flavorful, there are a few very traditionally Greek but also very interesting items on the menu. The place was quite packed when we were there so we could feel the staffs rushing everyone a little. It can also be a bit pricey for portion size."

"The food at this restaurant was very good, but the staff was rude and judgmental. My daughter, who is a veterinary nurse, was told that they didn't offer her more drinks or dessert because they didn't think she could afford it. She would never eat somewhere she couldn't afford. The offer of a free meal was declined, as there was concern it may be tainted. Overall, the service was very disappointing. Dining in for dinner was the meal type."

"I wish id said something at the time as I know it's too late now but at the time I was so disappointed and embarrassed. The quality of the food was awful. The salmon was covered in salt and the beef burger and chicken burger was nothing like the pictures on the website. No brioche bun just a shop bought burger bap which I feel was sent out to get from sainsbury's. We were the only customers but thought that's because it was a sunday evening. As a result we wont be back."

"very slow service, and the 3 waiters present on the day seemed all very young and quiet and inexperienced. that let the overall experience down. disappointed that upon giving us the bill the waitress immediately gave us the card machine and asked how we were paying. as we were a group of 2 couples we were hoping to split the bill and wanted time to work this out and also check the bill was correct, this waitress gave us no time and it felt as though she hadn't even considered that we may have wanted to read over the bill first of all before being rushed to pay. food was very good though."

"Ceviche had tables lit with candlelight which provided a really nice ambience. I hadn't had Peruvian food before and I was pleasantly surprised. We started with the Pork Chifa Tequenos which were delicious! We then had the Jalea steamed buns were delicious as well and were like Chinese Bao. The bun was delicious and fluffy and the deep fried bass inside was cooked perfectly! We then had the Don Ceviche and Camaron palteado which were quite nice as well. The lime/lemon flavours used in the curing were quite strong but the rest of the ingredients help to cut through it. We then had the Yucas which are fried cassava chips and I would recommend trying these if you haven't had them before....read more"

"The food: The croquettes were quite good. The tuna tartare was decent, but it lacked a distinctive flavor that was overshadowed by the avocado it was served on. The cacio e pepe was overly wet, unlike the traditional drier version made famous in Italy. Overall, the meal was acceptable for the price, but there are better and more authentic places in Soho that offer greater value."

"If you love Gyros you must try here! Would rate a million stars if I could. What an amazing experience at Yiamas. Honestly one of the best gyros if not meals I have eaten in a long time. The quality, taste and flavours were incredible and to match some proper Greek beer! Delicious. I had the hummus and pitta and also the mixed gyro (Chicken and Pork). The waitress who served me was very friendly and polite and I’m very thankful for her attentiveness. I am not local to the area but when I return to the area I will definitely pop in again."

"After reading the reviews we were excited to visit Called to book for the next day for lunch. someone said they would call us back they did the next day at 12.30! Waitress efficient but not friendly. 2 roasts ordered, 1 fish and chips. Tradional roast but Roast potatoes have garlic!! When asking waitress why doesn't it state on menu that theyare garlic as I don't like garlic her response was to blame me for not asking if the roasties were garlic ones!! I replied I didn't think to ask as its a roast potato she then ranted saying they can't possibly write all the ingredients of each item on the menu, and again I should have asked that I didn't want garlic with my roast!! Spoilt my meal completely. Cauliflower cheese is vile tastes powdery, watery and bland, Fish was very small and thin for a big price. Drinks way over priced. Waitress that bought the bill was again unfriendly. This is the first time I haven't left a tip in over 30 years!! WE WONT BE VISITING AGAIN. BASIC PUB. IMPRESSION. THEY THINK THEY ARE FAR SUPERIOR THAT WHAT THEY ARE. NOT EVEN BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PROVIDED. 1 star given for the cajin chicken burger whi h was absolutely massive and delicious! Thick bacon. Delicious fries. Minus 3 stars for 3 lower than average meals Minus 1 star for unfriendly and blaming the customer for not being a Monday reader. £100 wasted!!!!"

"I almost don’t want to review this place because it feels like London’s best kept secret. Copita is absolutely my favourite restaurant in London. My wife and I have been coming here for a couple years and the food, service, and vibe are never anything short of exceptional. The sign of a really good restaurant is when you leave, you aren’t just full, you’re nourished and fulfilled. That’s how Copita makes me feel after every meal. I can’t believe how reasonable the prices are considering the quality and location."

"The decor inside this restaurant is beautiful and the toilets are very clean. The waiter that welcomed us was polite, helpful and accommodated changes well whereas the waitress didn 't even crack a smile and had poor customer service skills. Asking a customer are you done? before taking their plate is so unprofessional, try would you like me to take your plate? . Her energy was unsettling after we flagged some issues with our food/bill. We were charged for a side of rice that hadn 't actually arrived with the meal but this was easily amended when settling the bill. 2 cocktails were made without alcohol as a mistake and they were courteous and let us have those drinks free of charge. This was appreciated. The atmosphere was calm but would have been better if there was some Turkish music playing in the background while dining to make it a more authentic dining experience. My lamb saute meal arrived warm and disappointingly didn 't taste of much despite having a 'special sauce '. My partners lamb shish was quite chewy. The rice was lovely and fluffy, nice chips and the Tabouleh was refreshing. The passionfruit mojito was sweet and delicious but tasted like a mocktail so we had to ask for more alcohol to be added. Thankyou for the experience but unfortunately I wouldn 't be rushing back here."

"I visited this restaurant after coming straight from Vietnam, so I can confidently say that both the food and service are top-notch! The venue is lovely and has a relaxing atmosphere; it's not too cramped. I went on a Tuesday evening, so I can't speak to how busy it gets on weekends, but I can definitely rave about the food and drinks. The cocktails are fascinating, and the wine selection is excellent!"

"The service at this restaurant was incredibly pleasant and attentive, with a very nice atmosphere. However, there were some errors in the timing of the courses, as we received our entrees along with our appetizers despite specific instructions. The octopus was delicious with bold flavors, but the other dishes were disappointing. The gnocchi was bland, the steak tartare was too tomato-heavy, and the lobster and crab tortellini had a thick, fishy filling. The salmon was overcooked, and the halibut was overwhelmed by the mushroom sauce. The souffle cakes were hard, with a berry puree in the middle. It seems that our experience was not typical, as other recent reviews have praised the same dishes."

"Awful. Miserable service. Flat beer. Chewy calamari in a tasteless sauce. Soggy truffle fries. Overcooked hamburger. Thank God they were out of steak, God only knows what that would have been like! And that was of their main course menu! They never brought out the spinach, but tried to charge us. Nothing American about it"

"I booked this restaurant on a friend's recommendation I must say I was not disappointed. No wonder it’s got outstanding reviews. It’s a cosy little restaurant in Exmouth Market. The owner chef Anilo is so very pleasant. He came out to welcome us at our table, which was quite nice. They serve Turkish cuisine and also the meat is Halal, which was perfect for my Muslim friend. Their signature dish, KISIR, was out of this world. It reminded me of my visit to Turkey. Authentic Turkish taste and friendly hospitality. Excellent customer service. I also loved their Turkish coffee. I am definitely going back and very highly recommend it."

"I went to Kri Kri for dinner again last Friday. The staff welcomed us warmly and the atmosphere was inviting. To start, we shared the Hummus and stuffed mushrooms, which were the best stuffed mushrooms I've ever had. For the main course, I ordered the Sea Bass, which was amazing - perfectly filleted and cooked to perfection. It was served with rice and roast potatoes, and all the mains were exceptional. The house wine was very good and reasonably priced by the glass or bottle, including Merlot. My husband had the chicken in wine and cream, which he loved. The staff provided excellent service with a smile, and the restaurant was very clean. We finished our meal with coffee and Baileys, and are already looking forward to our next visit. There is a large car park at the rear of the restaurant, and it is only a 5-minute walk from the 487 and 22 bus stop on Brook Street."
