"Table booking system on line very easy, however to be told that you cannot visit the salad bar without being escorted by a server is shambolic, as is the quality of the salad items, I am capable of choosing my salad myself thanks without being made to feel like a 5 year old, I was fully masked up but still wasn't allowed to help myself. Also one of my party asked for a glass of lemon and lime with no ice, but still it came with ice. The food quality was quite nice, however when it came to ordering desert, we were all looking forward to enjoying one of the ice cream deserts, but couldn't as we were informed that the ice cream machine has set on fire, which I find hard to believe. It seems that no one could be bothered to go out and purchase a few tubs of ice cream from Iceland which is only a five minute walk away. No we won't be visiting Harvester again"

"I had to change the time of our booking because I was running late, but the staff were very helpful. We had a table for two, and one of us ordered a delicious soup for a starter while the other decided to wait for the main course. After waiting for an hour for our mains, our waitress apologized and explained that they were serving meals upstairs in the bar, so it was really busy. To make up for the wait, the waitress brought us a large complimentary glass of wine. The food was delicious and very filling, with probably the best gravy around. We will definitely be back for another visit."

"Came here for Sunday lunch and food was good, good choice on the menu and restaurant was clean. Service unfortunately was not up to par, there were only a few other tables in and ordering our starter and main took a little longer than expected considering this. After we’d had our main we asked for the dessert menu. We must have been forgotten about as the young girl serving us never came to take our order for fifteen minutes. In the end we decided to just pay for our bill at the bar and leave. Very disappointed as would have been a regular place for us had the experience been better."

"13 of us met up and enjoyed a lovely family friends meal here yesterday. It’s a lovely harvesters- one of the older ones which we preferred, because its partially carpeted and has no large windows, sounds chatter doesn’t carry so it’s a lot quieter. The food was delicious and piping hot on arrival- well presented and the salad bar well stocked. Desserts all delicious as well especially the rocky horror !! Our server Sam was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, we had 2 people in our group with allergies and she was so attentive with them making sure they were catered for. So credit to Sam!! Overall a lovely evening, delicious food and great service"

"Had booked a table for tonight and glad we had as restaurant was fully booked and there were no early evening tables available. Staff were run off their feet and it was obviously busier than they had expected. Long wait for main meals (45+ mins) and then had to send mine back as it was cold. Rest of family had finished their meals and my replacement still hadn 't arrived. Got fed up with waiting so asked the waitress to cancel the order. The response we got was 'it takes time to cook a replacement '. Sorry, it doesn 't take that long to cook a replacement burger!! What should have been a nice family meal turned out to be anything but. Thankfully I had enjoyed the salad bar, although they were finding that difficult to keep filled"

"When we arrived at the restaurant, we noticed a few people waiting to be seated. There was some chaos as people were pushing into the line to hand in their car registrations at the entrance. It appeared that the restaurant was short-staffed. We saw a customer accidentally getting covered in beer and wine by a waitress, but she handled the situation well and quickly moved the customer to a new table. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, she continued to work efficiently. Unfortunately, my rare sirloin steak was overcooked and had a lot of tough, chewy parts, which was disappointing. Overall, the dining experience was not enjoyable, and I was glad to leave. It didn't seem like good value for money, especially for a Sunday evening. I don't plan on returning to this restaurant."

"First visit here and such a nice surprise in terms of food. We had flatbread mains with drinks and kids had a rack of ribs and pizza with brownie and make your own ice-creams. Salad bar was included with mains and had a variety of options with some great dressings. Vegan options and calories for each meal ate clearly outlined on the menu. Used the 25% off voucher for our first visit via Harvester app. Service was fantastic ... Very attentive waitress. There is a soft play attached to the pub, extra cost but Ok for an hour's play. "I was so looking forward to this big night out and have to say I was left very dissapointed. On arrival at the door I was handed two flyers for buy one drink get one free. This was at 1925. After struggling to find your restaurant in the darkness I was greeted by a staff member and shown to a large booth. There was a large party on a Christmas night out occupying the length of the room. It took 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive as it seemed to take 5 staff members to serve this table of 30! We were then handed our menu which compared to the online menu was reduced considerably much to our dissapointment. Your website mentions no alterations during December. We chose our food and the starters arrived relatively quickly. After our initial dissapointment at the poor service it was somewhat redeemed by a gift bag containing a Christmas card, sweets and more drinks vouchers. We ordered 3 drinks each (expensive cocktails) pleased with our vouchers that we were only paying for 3 of the 6. On trying to redeem these I was then informed the promtion finished at 1900 note I was at a 1930 dinner reservation!! Not at 2100 as advertised on the vouchers. I was then informed by the surly girl that Tiger Tiger have the right to remove or alter these promotions at any time. Nicely done legal eagle!! Overall. Totally gutted. My nice mother daughter Newcastle trip that we saved so hard for was ruined. Not even a genuine apology from anyone. I wont be back. Oh and your toilets are disgusting!!!"

"Stopped here on spec after a day out. It was busy but we were able to be seated without a booking. Still offering a free salad bowl, which all looked fresh with plenty of choice. The haddock and chips was hot and a good size. My 'dirty ' chicken burger was tasty, it could have been a bit hotter, the chips were a bit 'chewy ' too. Service was good despite it being busy. It was a bit noisy, lots of families dining around us but it was 5.45pm on a Sunday so not that surprising. Too full up for a pudding, which would have been £17.49 for 2 courses."

"sitting on Wednesday night for dinner, the restaurant was quite busy and the staff was quite stretched. I ordered the dirty burger and my partner had the lachs and dillfischkuchen. both meals were extremely delicious and fill. for desert we had the millionaire shortbread sundae and they were delicious. overall we were very satisfied with our meal. I must add that we were served by daisy, and she was so pleasant and helpful that she is a credit in the restaurant, and we would definitely return."

"My friend and myself came here for afternoon tea as we had a voucher. The waitress very kindly moved us outside as it was a lovely day. We asked for no salmon as I was pregnant and my friend doesn't eat fish, the Waitress offered us to replace them with ham and cheese sandwiches. The salmon arrived on the sandwich platter anyway, it was taken back and changed but when it came back there were less sandwiches on the plate? A waiter took over the service and was not easy to locate for tea and coffee refills. Unfortunetly the scones were stale but still edible. Overall the experience was ok but I wouldn't come here again for afternoon tea or food. The bar area looks ok for a drink."

"I was really looking forward to a special night out, but I have to say I was very disappointed. When I arrived at the restaurant, I was given two flyers offering a buy one, get one free drink deal from 1925. It was a struggle to find the restaurant in the dark, but once I did, I was greeted by a hostess and shown to my table. The restaurant was packed with a big Christmas party, which seemed to slow down the service. It took 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and the menu was much smaller than what was advertised online, which was a letdown. However, we did receive a gift bag with a Christmas card, candy, and more drink vouchers, which partially made up for the slow service. I tried to redeem one of the drink vouchers, only to be told that the promotion had ended at 1900, even though my dinner reservation was at 1930. The staff member then informed me that the restaurant had the right to change or remove promotions at any time. Overall, my mother-daughter trip to Newcastle was ruined by the disappointing experience, and I do not plan on returning. Plus, the restrooms were not well-maintained."

"amazing eating, with friendly service and a warm atmosphere in the restaurant! the personal is courteous and friendly, and the service is good, with food and drink orders fast and eat and drink delivered in time to the table. there is (of course) unlimited use of the salad car with any main meal, and this itself has a large selection of items to choose from. the restaurant is clean and tidy and well furnished with spacious walkways to navigate. eating is fresh and hot, very tasty and filling, as the portion sizes are of good standard. the prices are appropriate for a chain restaurant, with the bill comes in a modest £40 for two adult, although it must be said it does not seem to be too many restaurants on, in contrast to other similar restaurants. but overall, a positive experience, and we would return and recommend this branch of harvester."
