"It was a good experience. We were seated straight away. Choice of menu was good. Although, I thought the menu wasn't laid out well. Too small a print for anyone with sight problems and a bit jumble. Salad was good the servicer took us separately and was helpful in selecting the salad. Menu was good although I wasn't able to finish as I was slightly unwell. There was a confusion on payment the service instead of splitting the bill it worked differently. Deco of restaurant nice and welcoming. Would come here again."

"The staff at this pub and restaurant are excellent and the establishment is well-managed. The food is good and I have visited multiple times in recent years, always having a positive experience. My only criticism of the Harvester chain as a whole is that they have removed all draught beers and bitters like Doombar. It's disappointing that in a British pub, you can no longer enjoy a proper pint of beer. While there is a variety of lagers available, not everyone prefers lager."

"Friendly service when you can get someone's attention to take your order. Waving your arms in the air, doesn't have the desired affect either. Manager spent most of her time at the bar, totally oblivious to customers waving to attract attention so they could be served. I could understand if it was busy, but it wasn't. Food, when it arrives, best described as ordinary, nothing to write home about. 4 Jan 2017 Just been today, a lot better than last time, order taken very promptly by very friendly professional staff, but still a long wait for food to arrive, not as though they were rushed. Will say that they are getting better. Food when it arrived was good and hot. Increased my review to 4 stars. Keep it up, we need a descend restaurant in Middlewich."

"We had a karaoke booth booked from 8 til 9 and the first there made a drinks order at 8.10 which, after we chased it several times, came 40 minutes later leaving 10 minutes to drink them before we had to leave the booth. One of the girls went out to find out what was happening at around half past and saw them sitting on the bar but so they were sitting out with the ice melting for at least 20 minutes before they were brought through. The other half of our order came quicker but the cocktails were disgusting. My mojito tasted like slightly minty water. The brambles were clear so didn 't look like brambles and when my friend asked what it was she was told it was a drink and she should just take it. The Pina colada was awful and the pornstar martini just tasted like fruit juice. We complained and didn 't end up paying for the drinks but only after we were accused of lying about how long the drinks took. This really put a dampener on the start of our night and I wouldn 't go back."

"We booked a table for 15 people at 2.30 in the afternoon and they were able to accommodate us easily. it was very good to find somewhere that could take a large group at one table. The staff were very nice and welcoming but the service suffered as the staffing level was minimal. The food was acceptable, nothing more. We were surprised that they had 'run out of ' sparkling water and Coca Cola... very odd. The view is absolutely super they have a large terrace overlooking Gun wharf, with lots of chairs as it was a lovely day, it was extremely attractive. However, it suffers from being the 'smoking area '. The room inside is pleasant, with high ceilings and very large windows. The 'muzak ' was a ghastly generic/covers track obviously cheap versions of hit songs but 'imitation ' singers quite horrid and too loud. My feeling is that it suffers from being a 'night place/bar ' that does not adapt to the day very well. All in all, disappointing."

"My wife, 16 year old son and I popped in here for a drink on a Saturday evening. It was not very busy but still took about 10 minutes to get served at the bar. The first drinks were ok but when I got the next round I noticed it was considerably more than the previous one for a very similar round.It took five minutes to get acknowledged by the bar staff, including the girl who had just served me. Thankfully, I had paid by card and kept my receipt, although it didn 't show the actual drinks ordered. The manager offered to take it upstairs to the office to check it out by said there was no need as all I needed to know was the price of the drinks I had been charged for.Eventually it transpired that I had been charged £2.90 for a small glass of lemonade for my son, almost as much as I had been charged for a pint of beer. I told the manager that I considered that to be a rip off but she explained that the glass could be refilled free of charge. This wasn 't made clear to my wife who had bought the first round. The manager apologised but said I had been charged correctly. I was still fuming and gave her every opportunity to rectify the situation but she stuck rigidly to the rule book. When I told here that it was her choice but to expect to see the review on social media, she said that was unfair as I had been correctly charged.I object to this practice as it would appear to be ripping off families but worse still, it is encouraging children to drink vast quantities of sweet sugary drinks with long term health implications.Looking at the reviews on here, it appears that I am not the only one who thinks this place is awful. I cannot recall having visited an establishment that has more Terrible reviews than any other category."

"My friend and myself came here for afternoon tea as we had a voucher. The waitress very kindly moved us outside as it was a lovely day. We asked for no salmon as I was pregnant and my friend doesn't eat fish, the Waitress offered us to replace them with ham and cheese sandwiches. The salmon arrived on the sandwich platter anyway, it was taken back and changed but when it came back there were less sandwiches on the plate? A waiter took over the service and was not easy to locate for tea and coffee refills. Unfortunetly the scones were stale but still edible. Overall the experience was ok but I wouldn't come here again for afternoon tea or food. The bar area looks ok for a drink."

"I have been coming here off and on for years, have no problem with the food, it's very tasty, but my issue is for the last times over the last months when we are just sitting down enjoying our salad the staff are...hovering over us with our main meal! "This was one of the most disappointing evenings ever! To begin, our table was not ready and we were asked to wait in the bar (apparently the table was being cleared). After 20 minutes wait, and other customers being directed to tables when they came in, we reminded staff that we were waiting and were eventually shown to a table that had just been cleared of the previous diners plates etc. These were on the nearest table. After another 15/20 minute wait, I went to the salad bar hoping that someone might notice that we hadn't ordered but there were no bowls so I took a couple of rolls and waited. I was told by another diner that salad wasn't self service so I went back to the table. We hadn't be told about this change in the system. More waiting and eventually asked someone to take our order. This was done and we went back to the salad bar which was pretty awful too. Hardly any salad and many items missing. Back to the table to eat our salad then another wait for the main course to arrive. After almost an hour of waiting and seeing other diners who had come in before us and had still not received their food, we made the decision to cancel our order and left the restaurant, after complaining to the manager. We certainly will not be returning to this Harvester."

"arrived and were shown our table, had to wait until it was cleaned what was ok. went to get drinks and took some broth rolls then was spoken too rudely to get them even for covid! the personal should always talk to people as they want to be spoken, never an apology for rude employees. coworkers didn't wear a name mark, but our waitress knew who we thought when we told her and apologized, apparently usual that she was rude! also they can not catch covid from the introduction of a broth roll on a teller! the waitress was very helpful, but waiting for eating was unacceptable, 45 minutes waiting between the curses, was told by a same rude member of the staff, we should wait 30-40 minutes and we should know. we have overheard at least three tables asking where the food was, a problem with the staff. when eating arrived, you had to go back to find out how it was burned! visited the toilets to both block toilets and find faeces covering tissue all over the floor. had heard a complaint before I used the toilet that was clearly ignored. I would have thought that the toilets are regularly checked, but it seems that the staff are more worried about broth rolls and rude to customers than to check toilets are usable and hygienic."

"As soon as we entered the front door the female staff (I’m sorry I forgot her name- she had brown hair) we smiled and greeted my family. Her customer service skills were exemplary; she showed patience, expectations to our orders and more importantly true personality. Throughout the meal she asked if the food was satisfactory and we were all happy with everything. We haven’t been regular to this branch of harvester, but from the service delivered I will now gladly be a patron. The only thing I can think of to improve the service; may be after every starter(s) cutlery will be replenished. We had to ask for more knives and forks as we used or forks for the starters and salad dishes. When our main courses arrived we then asked for replacement cutlery. This is only a minor blip as the overall experience was excellent. Your staff at Monkspath has restored my faith in customer service 10/10"

"From the moment my family and I walked through the door to the minute we left our experience was that of pure joy. Normally eating out is a chore with our two kids as they both have their own unique needs but Tanya who I assume is a manager and Autumn our waitress made sure they went out of their way to include them in their own ways. The food was beautifully cooked, I recommend the double dirty combo which is what I had tonight followed by a liquor coffee complete with a nice shot of glenfiddich. I haven’t been to a harvester for a couple of years and to be honest never had any complaints but also never had much of a reason to compliment the service but tonight we were honestly made to feel like part of the family. Well done guys we couldn’t be happier"

"I visited this two g of the harvester, as it had not been in a past and the vegan options looked pretty good. they now have a very extensive selection, although they could do with a few more nets. I tried the chili maize carn, which was in order, but small in size compared to the veggie/fish dishes my elder ordered. I was thrilled by the unlimited salatable, but there is actually nothing to fill them because the brot, pasta salat and kartoffelsalat are not vegan. So it's really just salad vans. didn't ask for the dressing. they have a vegan crumb with egg dessert and my daughter and I really did. I would probably come back and try some brunch dishes, but in general I think this chain must make more up."

"We met friends here on Sunday as its convenient for both of us. We all started with the salad, which we all enjoyed. I had the belly pork with mash and it was delicious, followed by the Eton mess. They were busy and we were seated in a booth next to a big birthday party, but it didn't give us any problems. The waitress was attentive, reading back all of our orders and this is the only place I've been to in a while where she made a point of asking if I wanted ice cubes in my lemon and lime! I would have taken pictures but was too busy tucking in and enjoying it!"

"Okay, so this is a difficult one to score really as I wish I could give it 5 stars for the waitress alone. Her name was Jade and she was absolutely brilliant. She was so friendly and fantastic with my little boy. Nothing was too much trouble for her. I hope she is valued by management as she really is a big asset to your pub. However, her working conditions were appalling. She was running about here, there and everywhere, she looked exhausted. There were no other staff to be seen and I even saw her asking for assistance but this was not given. We had to wait nearly an hour from finishing our meal to getting our dessert. I would have normally complained and walked out but I just couldn 't do that to the waitress. She was manning half the pub, taking orders, making drinks, serving food, cleaning tables. Apart from this, the food was good to be fair and the actual pub itself is very nice. We were on holiday so I don 't know what it used to be like but if these are the conditions your staff work under on a regular basis then you will soon lose customers and gain a bad reputation. Sort out your staffing issues and look after and appreciate the excellent ones you have as if you have a team of Jade 's then wow, you will have a top notch pub."

"Never have I had a polite server at the Harvester in Loughborough. The staff there are usually miserable. I have also never been asked if my meal was ok, or if I wanted anything else and often find myself having to approach staff and ask for service. However today I was pleasantly surprised by our server Caroline. Caroline was polite and a good conversationalist. She regularly checked on us and was very helpful. Thank you Caroline for making our visit an enjoyable one. The only issue we did have was the toilets were disgusting. Full of thick dust and grime everywhere. Food was yummy and we are both now very full and content."

"I decided to salate for the main course as I love so much. my 2nd visit in the golden fleece this week. both paintings I was served to my salat from the same friendly helpful server (sorry do not remember their names). she was so friendly helpful with my vegan requirements. she took care of my meal and presented it so beautifully. I must say that I know that many would rather serve the salatable themselves. but I don't agree. I prefer someone who serves as the elimination of cross-contamination by other customers. I had good and bad experiences from other harvesters, but not these. I've always got great, friendly food. well done to all their employees in this restaurant. I should add that others in my party order get the same good quality from the menu"
