"I think the majority of the reviews here are influenced by the good attention that is provided at the restaurant otherwise it would be hard for me to understand how they give more than 2 stars to the food. I visited this restaurant today with my family and friends and we were super disappointed, starting with some white loaf bread straight out from the bag and some foiled wrapped butter, followed by a super basic salad with 5 extra thin soggy battered calamari’s on top and a super ordinary dressing. The main was not bad but nothing special taking in consideration that you’d pay £35 for the two courses meal or £43 for the three courses. We feel that we were ripped off, terrible experience. "The room was very cool/cold. The waiter appeared very disappointed we were not ordering anything alcoholic. We both ordered the grill, which arrived on cool plates, toast was also delivered, but no side plates or knives, therefore having to use dinner knives for rock hard butter. Tried for some time to attract attention of staff ,for more butter, but they were too busy in conversation. The staff were totally untrained and devoid of personality. We visited this restaurant approx two months ago and the staff were so welcoming and attentive, we really could not believe it was same place"

"Would have given zero stars had that been possible. Booked well in advance. Kept waiting with three other couples for a good 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Shown to our table to find a party of guests still eating/drinking. Went to another table to find cleaning products and dirty cloth on table. The gentleman at the door was absolutely out of his depth and had little or no management training. Door notice said they were accepting only bookings, everyone else turned away due to lack of staff. If there was only limited staff on that evening why did no-one think to cancel bookings/rebook customers for another time. Staff completely overwhelmed and stressed. This place needs strong management and leadership. It really is a complete shambles. GIVE IT A MISS.Needless to say our party of four walked out in disgust."

"First thing I did when I arrived in Birmingham from my holiday is to go try their Tacos, and I wasn 't disappointed, I was happy while eating it. The staff is very cool, apparently the chief is French and he does also very good French patisserie, like Eclair au chocolat authentic French pastry made by French Hands."

"We went here as a family of 4 after going to the cinema. We had a fabulous meal. One thing that really stands out is the way they handled the nut allergy my daughter has which was amazing. We were a bit disappointed the scallops weren’t available however were happy with the prawns, bao buns and haloumi. For mains we had 2 half lobsters, prawns and pulled burger all of which was well cooked and tasty. The service and staff here are super friendly and attentive. We will be back and most probably for a Saturday brunch which sounds amazing! Dietary restrictions: Very good with nut allergies"

"Experience was good, server was accommodating and restaurant honoured requests to accommodate mobility issues. The length of time between courses was quite lengthy. Food was good, but apart from a couple of crackers on the table (considering it was a festive menu) it wasn’t very festive at all. Parking: Decent amount of parking, although you might struggle if it’s busy. Must remember to add number plate to the device inside the restaurant to avoid a fine."

"One of the best rib eye steaks I have ever had. I had it medium and just melted in your mouth. Taste was first class and accompaniments of mushrooms, onion rings and double cooked chips were all cooked perfectly. It wasn’t that busy when we were there admittedly but the service was very attentive and food was cooked and served quickly. Will definitely be looking to go back again. Service: Dine in"

"We came last night restaurant empty there was only one other table in there at the time. Starters took ages to come out. Undestably the fair was on so soon realised the chef was busy making food for them to sell outside a priority over the customers in restaurant. Luckily kids food came out with starters. At this point more customers in restaurant. Saw a table who came in after us get there mains and we were still waiting. Another tables asked where there's was and waitress was really ride and said its coming. Eventually after we kept looking round someone came to clear are plates after over 20min wait and asked for children's ice creams and our food. He said it was just coming. Kids got there icecreams and we still hadn't had our main. It then came out and lady took it to another table. Theb to another table and we had to call her over to say it was ours. Food was lovely just poor service last night when there was plenty of staff. Then had a 10% service charge added onto bill which under normal circumstances I wouldn't mind but when the service was that slow I asked for it to be removed. Hopefully a one off. Starters and main quite expensive."

"yesterday evening with a reservation for three of us visited for 18 o'clock. the restaurant was nicely busy! we ordered drinks beer and a very nice bottle Chilean merlot. the waitresses were extremely busy, but so pleasant and “smiley” was nothing too much annoyed even if my step vater accidentally knocked over his glass wee when the job was taken! all treated professionally and discreetly. the food came, though almost an hour after our booking, but since our reservation was an early evening and we had a light lunch, it was not a problem. the service and the quality of eating made it good to wait! my man and step vater ordered steaks rib auge and rump) cooked to their preferences med/well and med/rare) and I had the garlic chilihuh. we all chose rustic chips and had the other companions for our selected meal times. the food was delicious and plentiful! I couldn't finish my portions. my stepfather somehow managed to find space for dessert and enjoyed his brownie with ice cream. we loved the “Cowboy Hat” touch and wore it during the meal, so did the people on the next table). at the end of the evening my man asked our beautiful waitress to the bill as we wanted to cover the total) just to say that my stepfather had already paid. what a tasty bite! when we finally discovered the total bill, we were amazed at the fantastic value for money! the next time we stay with my stepfather in louth, we will definitely come back here for the great food, service, drinks and worth! many thanks to all the workers in the ranch steakhouse grill!"

"James, our waiter, truly made this dining experience stand out. We got exactly what we were hoping for with a classic Pub Sunday Roast, and the way it was presented was exceptional in every detail. James was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, striking the perfect balance. We were so impressed that we ended up calling other family members to book them in later that day. Well done, James! He nearly convinced us to try the Chocolate Bomb pudding, and while we resisted this time, we’re definitely coming back to sample it based on his heartfelt recommendation. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you to James and the entire team!"

"If you drive to this pub make sure you pay for parking!! After popping in for a drink we will never return. It is not clear that you have to tell the pub you have parked to obtain free parking and no one in the pub asked. The atmosphere was great and staff friendly however going just over an hour we had a £100 fine!!! We tried to call the pub but they didn’t want anything to do with it and after sending evidence to the parking company they also stated we should have informed the pub. A very expensive drink with friends but what has disappointed me more is that both the pub and parking would not even entertain trying to help."

"We are holidaying here with our three children. My son who is autistic loves softplay, its the only way we can eat out in peace as a family. I googled nearby softplays and this showed up and we were looking forward to it. When we arrived we ordered our food and were told softplay is closed and has been for 2 years. I suggest they update their cover photo online featuring the softplay and amend the reasons to visit by deleting family friendly with softplay . We stayed anyway and my son needed the toilet. It was disgusting, god knows when last cleaned. No toilet roll, hand wash empty but a bottle of diluted hand sanitizer there instead. Once food arrived the meat on my Sunday dinner was tough. Kids potato smiles burnt and my husbands chilli was close to inedible with how spicy it was. Four flies were constantly circling the table and going on our food. I complained and was told there 's fields surrounding so it can 't be helped. I did get offered a replacement meal for my Sunday roast which I declined because the kids were twining about the softplay and I just wanted to go home. I 'm not one to complain infact this is the first time I ever have in an establishment and I hate doing it but this was disappointing. I 'd be interested to know the hygiene rating. Its a shame because its a lovely building in a beautiful setting."

"After hearing great reviews about this restaurant, I decided to stop by for lunch. The bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. The menu had a good variety of options to choose from. However, I was disappointed that the restaurant was cold despite having a beautiful fire. The cleanliness of the place left something to be desired, as the floor behind the bar was dirty and the tables and menus were a bit grungy. The food was tasty, but unfortunately, I found Brussels sprouts in my mixed sizzler, which reminded me of leftover New Year's dinners being used up. Overall, I probably won't be returning."

"We visited The Riviera three times during our holiday nearby—twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The food is fantastic, and the portions are enormous. For dinner, I inquired about the chicken, bacon, and cranberry burger I had seen on their website, even though it wasn't listed that day. They were happy to make it for me anyway. The food came out quickly, was piping hot, and absolutely delicious. The salad bar is impressive; the coleslaw and potato salad tasted homemade. We were served by Grace, Chloe, and Charlie, all of whom were friendly and cheerful, making sure that nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely return the next time we're near Selsey. I just wish there was a restaurant like this closer to home!"
