"Had afternoon tea at the castle. Beautiful setting, delicious food, the only draw back was the lack of attention of the waiting staff! The young lad who was usually behind the counter and alone was too busy looking at his phone, we all know that stance they take when pretending not to be looking at it! Needed a few more senior members to be keeping a closer eye on the kids. As a place like Amberley you'd expect them to be on high alert to the customer, one look and they are there. "I visited the Hilltop Café for a late afternoon meal, especially since many other places were closed. I was really pleased with my experience. I had a delicious cheeseburger served in a soft bun, complemented by pickles, tomatoes, and caramelized onions. My partner ordered the avocado smash, but without the bread, and instead with chips. They created a lovely salad for her, featuring sliced avocado, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, and chips (though I prefer chunkier chips). The staff was incredibly helpful, and I even received a complimentary soft drink. The tea was a high-quality Earl Grey with milk, which I enjoyed. The tables were adorned with beautiful flowers, and the lovely sunshades created a relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of a tavern in Greece or the Mediterranean. Overall, it was a delightful experience!"

"Sergio’s is a fantastic experience all the way around, it starts first with the people. Friendly and personable. Dottie, Kasha, Hamza were attentive and engaging. We cannot say enough good things about them. We began our evening with a glass of Prosecco, accompanied with a mixed variety of olives w/ bright sliced citrus enhancing the flavors, which was perfect to snack. Along with the seafood salad: perfectly tender octopus, squid, mussels and clams. For our main course we enjoyed the evening special: king prawns w/spicy linguine. The prawns were split, and were nearly as large as your hand. The Veal Limone, a mainstay on the menu was tender and accompanied with shaved Parmesan and crisp arugula greens. We closed out the evening with an espresso and limoncello while sharing a delightful chat with Dottie. Her personality radiated, she was so welcoming and engaging which truly made you feel like family. Highly recommend you make Sergios part of your London journey, if you’re looking for authentic Italian with a neighborhood vibe, you’ve truly found the right place!"

"Harrods is a must do experience if you are visiting London. It is an awesome shop to look around and its huge. It’s window displays change frequently and are spectacular. It will take a few hours to have a proper look around but even looking around the ground floor you can browse a huge range of designer high-end handbags, jewellery, make-up and at the back of the shop the amazing food hall. Even if you have no intention of buying you will be pleased you visited. Upstairs the furniture areas are spectacular, and the shop is full of small cafes and bars to take a rest stop. You won’t find any bargains here and certainly you will probably pay a small amount extra for the same item v elsewhere but Harrods is about the spectacular shopping and browsing experience. This visit I only visited on this visit was the ground floor (as per photos) but I love all the floors here and often stop near the toy department at the frozen yogurt counter for a chill (and that place is nearly always fairly quiet and you can get a seat)."

"First time I've used B&B's, and I've not been disappointed. I decided to swing by on my way to work, to have a Burrito for my lunch, at work (over in Portsmouth) The Burrito I had was the chicken fajita. It was RAMMED full of food, and well packed. It had been double wrapped too, ready for an extended journey! When I got to finally eat it 2 hours later it was still lovely and warm. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would definitely recommend this place. The property itself is very clean and tidy, with friendly and helpful staff. Great value and all ingredients are very clearly fresh. I'll be visiting again, and likely to make it a Friday lunch treat when this period of my shift comes around again!"

Normally I would avoid a french restaurant at all costs in order to avoid the typical snooty know it all french waiter. "Well, I was staying away from home due to work and found this Indian restaurant (I do love Curries so looked out for one . Yes, the girl taking orders (I presume the owner's daughter was friendly and very helpful, and the service was quick, probably because there weren't many people in there, but that did surprise me because it was Saturday night. Upon arrival, I sat down and disappeared into the chair (no springs! moved to another seat only slightly better. Had poppadoms, tasted awful but they came out after around 30 seconds so maybe they were yesterday's? Chutney, mint yogurt etc were the worst I've had, very bland, even the onion was watery and tasteless. I wondered how good the main would be. Omg, I hate to say this but it was honestly the worst curry I have ever tasted and I was very disappointed. As other reviews have said, it was dry chewy chicken chunks in a paste. I ate half of it and just wanted to get out of there in the end, got the bill then suddenly they had a power cut! Lights kept flashing on and off as the owner repeatedly kept resetting the breaker which just kept tripping out. The card reader for payment stopped working so I was stuck. After 5 mins the owner brought out candles! Somebody in the restaurant offered to help the owner, and after 20 mins got the lights on. (I hope he was rewarded with a discount but I doubt it very much! I eventually paid but they wanted the itemised receipt they gave me after I paid, but I needed it for work, but eventually sorted it (they let me have the last cm of the receipt! . I left the run down front porch area with two doors, couldn't close the first door, it wouldn't shut. Then the owner just slammed it behind me and it shut, which I thought was a bit rude as I was still there in the porch looking at him! I went through the second door onto the street and the door handle came off in my hand along with that long rod bit as well. Then the Indian owner came running out and took it from me. I couldn't stop laughing all the way home. Will I go back? Absolutely not!"

The space is cosy, warm and welcoming and ideal for a catch up with friends. Only table service is allowed and cannot order at the bar due to COVID restrictions. "first we came in and it was really ugly. there were quiet music and the furniture was really nice. next we ordered, but our waitress was a bit grumpy. but our food came in 14 minutes. it is like almost food restaurant. the Canadian breakfast was really good and the pancakes were huge and delicious. it is a really good restaurant and some of the waiters are really polite. this is a definite 4-star restaurant I just turned 12"

"Took my nephew for a pre theatre meal. Lovely food and red wine, great service. Easy to get to from London Bridge station. My nephew was really pleased with my choice of restaurant as he has spent the summer in Portugal with his girlfriends family and speaks flaunt Portuguese already. "We decided to get a few days away. Overall we had a great stay. Our room (Crawford) based in the cottage. Lovely room with flowers growing in the window boxes. The room itself has limited space to hang your clothes, also has limited surface space. The bathroom is huge and has everything you need. The room was serviced every day, although It could do with a more substantial clean (dust in places and found things that had been left by previous guests) We booked an evening meal on the first night it was awesome, one of the best meals we've had in a while. The staff we fabulous that night. Breakfast was also great and we can't complain about the food. Over our 3 night stay the service at breakfast time varied and the lack of options some mornings on continental breakfast was a little disappointing. Overall Bell The Dragon Churt is a lovely place and has the potential to be awesome. We shall return."

"Edit Oct 2020: customer service and food quality have taken a dive off a cliff. In 2 orders, I was served rock hard frozen cakes, the wrong cake, the wrong pizza toppings, sauce on a burger that wasn’t asked for and staff ignoring my in person request to not put peppers on my food. Go to Veggie Lounge around the corner. It’s superior in every aspect. Original review below. Veggie Supreme have a good thing going and they know it. There are a few pizza places nearby, all of them really good to be honest but there are a couple of things offered here you won’t find at those other places including.... Jerk chicken. Vegan mock meat pizza toppings are usually limited to pepperoni, chicken (tikka or otherwise), sausage and ham in my experience. Jerk chicken has a really nice zing to it and livens up the pizza in a different way to the usual offerings. It tastes really good and you need to try it out if you’re a pizza lover. Stuffed crust for vegans. This is a bit of a holy grail as it’s usually the 1 thing missing when you go out for vegan pizza but here it is in all its cheesy glory. Couple these with a HUGE menu, including lots of desserts both hot and cold and this adds up to a great eating experience. So why not 5* just personal preference as I prefer my pizza to have a slightly thinner thin crust than you get here but make no mistake, this is some fantastic pizza that you should try out if you’re in the area."

"Surprisingly quiet for a late lunch on Saturday so quiet in fact that the cocktails we had been recommended by the restaurant that we make time to sample were not available because the cocktail barperson was offduty. Once we had passed that disappointment, the rest of the afternoon was very pleasant, aided by excellent service and food that was wellexecuted barring a few bits of shell in the crab salad and a somewhat less than melting portion of belly pork. A very handy venue for the Wigmore Hall, and for Oxford St shoppers looking to escape the retail fray.
