"It was very busy when we went today. There were more than enough serving staff so I can only imagine the issue was an overloaded kitchen We waited about 20 minutes before we got served, then almost another hour before I asked someone to check on the food as it was so long in coming. When our drinks arrived, the cup for my son was dirty abs the drink had things floating in it. We asked for another, it was also dirty. When did come, it was missing parts and had the wrong accompaniments, my mums order was missing completely. The hot food luke warm and my salad was also luke warm. We mentioned all of this at the till, but no apology was forthcoming. This is the 3rd really bad experience we have had here, others included chicken in a veggie meal and oat milk being mixed up with regular milk and no offer to take back and change this-even when we mentioned one of us has anaphylaxis when consuming oats! We like to try out again energy now and then because it's so local. Needless to say, we will leave it a long time this time..."

"SMH has benefits, its pretty. There are too many tables filling the bar, you can 't circulate and meet various friends. I always ignore the dreadful Wait here to be seated table at the door. Why have one, the main bar is a pub. Staff need proper training, many don 't have a clue, you can wait half an hour for drinks that are sitting waiting on the hatch. We have been many times, summer and winter. The food can occasionally be outstanding and other times awful. It is really hit and miss. Prices are rather high. Dogs are encouraged but many owners overdo it with several dogs at busy night times. I 'm sure the dogs hate it. If it had great food and much better trained staff it could be brilliant. It 's just not consistant"

"If you are looking for a relaxed coffee or a beautiful afternoon tea served in charming surroundings, then this is the place to visit.The staff are attentive whilst remaining unobtrusive, service is pleasant and you are served with the utmost courteousy.The shop sells beautiful and unusual jewelry, beautiful glass wear and paintings and prints.The Welsh love spoons are charming and made to order, I ordered one for the birth of my Granddaughter and Linda, (owner) made sure it arrived in time for Christmas, even though I had ordered at the last minute. Customer service is the order of the day and I would highly recommend both the tea room and shop."

"I visited Organico today with a friend. My friend had a filled flatbread with avocado and I had the ‘salad bowl’. This was a selection of the 5/6 pre-prepared salad dishes, including a beetroot and apple salad, quinoa, potato salad and different types of beans. They were all delicious. The portion was huge, so much so that I took half home and I’m having it tonight. One point: if you have children, there is no customer toilet but it is right next to M&S."

"Went there after a long time and they have refurbished the restaurant and looks more on the modern side. They got rid of the rear carpark and created more seating area. Prices have gone up but ordered the Kervan Extra Special platter and the meat pieces definitely looked bigger in size compared to how I remember them to be when I last visited. The different meats on the platter were cooked spot on and tasted very good. The bulger rice and white rice were cooked well and the meat oils moistened and flavoured the rice nicely. Visited yesterday to celebrate my 3 year old nephews birthday and there were several more birthdays being celebrated. The staff brought out the cakes for everyone who were celebrating their birthdays and singing to the birthday person. It was a proper nice and lively atmosphere. Will always be going with the family whenever we want to eat out as it's one of our favourites."

"Popped in for a cuppa and scone on the way back home from corbridge as needed somewhere that was dog friendly Coffee is delicious and the scones......yummmmm...I can honestly say this is the best scone I’ve had in a long long time ...coupled with jam and clotted cream, delicious!Dog friendly, ohh they made my dog so welcome! "Participated in the Sushi Making class. Makiko is friendly, supportive and knowledgeable about all things sushi and Japanese cuisine. It was good to hear her story and career in the sushi world. She shared lots of helpful tips. We were able to make multiple different types of sushi with plenty to try! Would definitely recommend for couples."

"The location is perfect to combine a nice walk in Greenwich Park (weather permitting) and an improvised break to have a slice of cake as a treat. If you don't go there too late in the day, they'll have many gluten-free options, otherwise it could be a bit limited. There is the option to eat inside or in their outside seating area – if you’re lucky to find a spot in the sun, or you can take it away (a bit cheaper as no service charge). I like their classic victoria sponge cake, but I find most of their cakes a bit heavy so a small portion is more than enough. They can also cater for occasions like birthdays, weddings etc."

"After a long walk to beaminster, we had a wonderful lunch at the red lion. Delicious food, excellent service and to top it 2 courses for 15!? A bargain considering the quality of the food. Interior was comforting but not out-dated by any means. Can imagine it to be very cosy in the winter. Also a large garden which is a positive. Will definitely be returning if we are back in the area and also recommending to any family and friends!"

"NOT FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS. We booked a table for food on the 29th of June. The google listing showed accessibility for a wheelchair. One of our party was in wheelchair and we take a lot of care when selecting places to visit. Unfortunately Slingers is in no way prepared for people in this situation. Firstly there is a big step to enter the restaurant and when inside the dining tables are too high, which would have made eating impossible. The staff were very friendly and thoughtful and I would definitely visit under different circumstances."

"My wife and I were staying in a lovely converted stables in Haconby, and although the accommodation was excellent, it was made even better by having The Hare and Hounds a short walk up the road. Derek and Mary, and the many locals we met, made us very welcome and we enjoyed the food, (particularly the Sunday Lunch), the warm welcome, the beer and most important, the playlists! We even did quite well in the monthly quiz!! Holidays are about memories, and one of the stand-out memories of ours, was having a lovely English pub on our doorstep."

"first visit in the new beer garden with friends to lunch. easy booking system, confirmed with an email. friendly staff, track and track to use at the entrance with gels. sat at the table with a swing seat. order drinks and wrote our selection of food on a sheet only tickle the boxes on what they need. we had steak pea, fish n chips and baked carrots with thunfish, all freshly made and delicious. a light raindrop and the roofings over us were used just before the heavens were opened. the lights came on deck and sides and made a luvly atmosphere that listened to the rain. a very pleasant lunch / afternoon had from all. will return."

"I recently stayed at a charming property in Exeter called the inn. I booked the "Premium Double Room" for my business trip and was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality. The owner even called to offer dinner upon my arrival, and when I mentioned I might be late, she kindly offered to have my choice of food ready to be warmed up. After a scenic drive through rural Devon (despite Exeter being only 5 miles away), I easily found the inn with ample parking. I was greeted by a friendly young man named Joe, who showed me to my room and shared a bit about the impressive 250 whisky collection behind the bar. The room was comfortable and even had a decanter of sherry for guests. I enjoyed a delicious fish and chip supper and a few pints of ale for dinner, followed by a nightcap of whiskey in the company of a lovely golden retriever. The affordable accommodation also included breakfast, although I had to leave early the next morning. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this inn for anyone visiting Exeter."

"Having read good reviews of this place we decided to call in for a sandwich when we visited Padstow, it is tucked away up one of the streets from the harbour area so a little quieter than the mad tourist areas. Not much seating, only one table and a window seat, but they were happy for us to sit there. Really lovely ladies serving, delicious prawn sandwich, plenty of locals popping in and out which is always a good sign! 10/10."

"Louis catered for our wedding in July 18 and did an absolutely fabulous job. He and his friendly team provided a hog roast, gourmet bbq (moroccan chicken, home made organic mini burgers, Greek style salmon , vegetarian options (his halloumi is the best we’ve tasted , and many side salads, for 120 guests. The food was delicious, and the service was very professional whilst also being relaxed and personable the team felt like extended family by the end! Louis also really helped us to plan the logistics of the day, thinking about how best to present and serve the food, and hiring the crockery and cutlery on our behalf. He also arranged for additional help to serve welcome drinks and keep our DIY drinks bar topped up too, and went the extra mile in many ways (including helping us source some good bargains on wine and beer! We truly enjoyed getting to know Louis in the run up to the wedding, and would recommend him to anyone who wants delicious food prepared by a friendly, thoughtful, and charismatic chef. "First visit to this restaurant and I’m sorry to say it’ll probably be the last which is a shame as it has the potential to be a fantastic establishment. My wife and I arrived with friends on a Saturday evening for a much looked forward to meal, only to be greeted by a very standoffish waiter and a dining room (the bistro lit brighter than a night match at Wembley stadium. After my retinas had got over the assault I was presented with what I first assumed was an old folks home only to be told that this was where we were eating. (Very disappointed to find out there was no bingo! The menu was great but unfortunately every dish came with a huge dollop of unasked for salt. I’d like to say that the waiter came over to enquire how the meal was but he didn’t. I’d also like to say that I was able to quench my now raging thirst with some delicious wine but we weren’t offered the wine list at any point despite a big deal being made of the wine cellar in the hotel description. We all finished our meals feeling quite disappointed and after a very brief discussion as to wether we should say something to the waiter we decided we were all far to British to cause a fuss and just wanted to pay the bill and leave. On payment in the reception we all noticed that the waiter seemed to be double checking to make sure that we’d actually paid the bill and not done a runner adding to a general feeling of feeling very unwelcome."

"This café is the best we have ever visited. It is a charming place that we are grateful to have discovered. We enjoyed it so much that we returned on the second day of our trip, and we will definitely visit again every time we are in Coniston in the future. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and they have a wide range of menu options that you can't find anywhere else. I had a hard time deciding what to order because everything looked so delicious. The food is made with local, fresh ingredients and is absolutely delicious. The sourdough bread is out of this world. We would even go as far as to say it's the best breakfast we've ever had. The café itself is a beautiful, cozy spot with stylish décor and thoughtful details that made our experience even more enjoyable. They also offer takeaway options and have a lovely outdoor seating area where you can relax and enjoy a cup of tea while watching the world go by. We can't wait to visit again. "Friendly service with fantastic food! We ordered lunch were served quickly, which is always good. I had a goats cheese beetroot toasty which came with a small selection of side salads. It was all fresh tasty. My mother was genuinely surprised by the amount of food on her plate, that was quite amusing. I had a look around at the other customers food the pancakes were amazing! We would have loved a cake from them because they looked delicious but couldn't fit them in. If we go back to Ripon we'd love to visit again! The cafe is at the top of the building so if you get a window seat you'll get an interesting view of the going ons down on the street. One of the most important things to me about this place is that it's dog friendly which definitely isn't the case everywhere in Ripon!"
