"I recently visited this restaurant for the first time in a long time and it appears that there have been changes in management/staff. The service was terrible. The chef, an old and miserable man, didn't speak to us and looked at us with disdain. He took our order without saying a word and brought the food out without giving us plates. When I asked for plates, he pointed to small saucers on the table. When I asked for dinner plates, he walked off in a huff and came back with only one plate. Another customer came in and the old man rudely interrupted the young guy who seemed nice and chill. The food was mediocre with too much oil, salt, and undercooked meat. The place was dirty, with dirty cutlery and broken and dirty tables. This place should be closed down. I will not be returning. I rarely write negative reviews, but this place was unacceptable. I give it a 0/10."

"Waited a few weeks before trying, to allow the place to settle. Wasnt sure what to try so played safe with pakora. Thinkng was that if a place can't get pakora right then that sends a clear message for more complex meals? I'm afraid it was a brutal experience and in all honesty the worst pakora I have ever tried and trust me, like a few, I have probably eaten my weight in pakora over the years. Other places cook and reheat too, I get it, but this was dry chicken pakora closer to rubber than chicken. And even if not made well at least other places give you chicken breast. A few bits were something else, gristle? Chucked those bits away, then quickly threw the rest in the bin. Sorry if you cant make the simplist of food, then no chance of trying anything else. Shame"

"This was my first time trying Five Guys and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The food was cooked perfectly and the restaurant was spacious with plenty of seating available. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, despite the busy crowd. It is a great place to go with friends, as a couple, or for a family meal. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. I would definitely return in the future."

"exceptional vegan and vegetarian menu, which is far. the first time it can be quite overwhelming, as the dishes are quite unknown, but the owner speaks with them and will know their taste and then make recommendations. we loved the first meal there and returned with friends and family. we have taken a menu home to explore a bit more before we have returned. it is great to get curry that can be tailored to the taste and is light, fresh and seems a very healthy option. there are no traces of the oils that are so often associated with curries. highly recommended."

"Nice karahi and starters. Nothing that made me say wow but good, decent food. The tandoori roti deserves a mention for being perfect. I didn't pay for the meal so unsure of pricing, the menu in-store does not display prices either."

"The food at this restaurant is delicious and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the mixed grill and chapli kebab were. I didn't experience any issues with my meal, but I have to deduct a star because the restaurant doesn't seem very clean and the wait times can be long during busy periods."

"We came to Farzi Cafe after hearing all the hype surrounding the food and the atmosphere. Sadly it wasn’t what we thought. This is the first time that I have given a relatively negative review on Google but this I think needs to be said. We came on a Sunday evening for a early dinner, we got seated by the front staff. Once we got seated a server was quick to approach us to see what we would like. This was pleasant. After giving us a couple minutes we placed our orders and waited. Starters looked amazing but lacked the taste. The started were bland and lacked the taste kick. After eating this we waited for dinner to arrive. At this point we heard one of the staff members a female singing out loud and walking around jiving to her own singing. This was amusing at first but then became annoying. She then started to tell off one of her staff members in front of us. This wasn’t appreciated especially when the cafe half full. We then got dinner, this again looked great but the egg royal lacked in taste and the lamb vindaloo was over cooked and hard. Both dishes were not to the standard we had anticipated. They were both sent back. Dessert is what has give the cafe the 2 stars. They were great. Overall: we have heard a lot of good things but our visit wasn’t what we expected and sadly shocked. We didn’t pay for our dinner part of the bill. Not the best service and food looked great but no taste. Maybe it was a off day."

"there are some positive aspects of this site and will concentrate on it. ambiente: very personal, secret, polite and sober. they don't need a lust to have a good ambiente, that's cuddly here. 5/5 star menu: decent dishes and good mix of chicken, lamb and bark, as well as bbq and rice. 5/5 chicken karhai: good taste esp those who want to taste correct karachi karhai from a UK perspective. Of course we don’t taste the same as “Super-Highway for those who know what I mean” but still kudos for the effort and good authentic taste to bring to the table. 5/5 haleem: has not tried, so it cannot comment. nihari: again we can not expect to bring the taste of zahid or javed nihari here, but still very good labor and good choice also. good color and good tarka. 4.5/5 naan: for those who come from karachi, yes, it was what we see as tandoori roti or the secure doodh wali roti. for those who are from other regions their tandoori roti is what we chapati (red atta roti.) 5/5 gajar halwa: could not take pictures, but was delicious 4.5/5 thanks to the owner (to avoid being twitched or trimmed, I don't mention his name) but bhai many thanks to for such good experience and for us to sit a place. what a good memory this place brought. nostalgic! Thanks again and we see each other again."

"I tried this because it was featured in the Coventry telegraph as a Deliveroo award winner But I was in for a huge disappointment This is why u shouldn’t waste ur money food took an over an hour to arrive the sambar was...watered down and tasteless the Bombay sandwich was a thick slice of boiled potato, onion, tomato, a slice of processed cheese and mint sauce in toast the masala chips were not cooked enough and was just chips fried in old oil with a sweet sauce thrown on it the plain chips were also fried in the same old oil and not cooked my dad ordered the meal deal and they gave him the wrong dhal the rest of the food tasted horrible. The desert he ordered was nice Overall it was wasted. Very disappointed On a final note I think it was the husband that delivered the food and he was just plain rude"

"We had two wonderful dinners at Bombay Blues during our 5-day stay in the city. Both times, the wait staff were extremely understanding and amenable to our dietary requirements and made sure to customise certain dishes for us to suit our dietary restrictions and palates, and the results were delicious. Over the two days, we had, between the four of us, the Goan Salmon curry, prawn curry, kadai sabzi, jeera lemon rice, aloo paratha, papdi chaat (especially fantastic! , pani puri, tadka dal, and the thali. A special mention must go to the yummy garlic naan in the thali, the perfectly seasoned channa masala, the flavourful tadka dal, as well as the decadent gajar halwa and kheer sweet dishes, which were extremely authentic, made with top quality ghee, very lightly sweetened (which suited us perfectly and utterly soul satisfying. The only thing missing from the kheer, for 100% authenticity, was perhaps a smidge of cardamom and/or saffron, and some ghee-roasted cashewnuts in the gajar halwa. All in all, two very tasty and thoroughly enjoyable meals at Bombay Blue, and we'd be happy to return again in the future the next time we visit Glasgow. Very good value for money and a genuinely warm and joyful experience for all of us."

"Went to this place for with a couple of friends expecting some good Indian food n a comfortable place to talk to. The outlet is just on the main road so quite easy to find out. Though parking maybe available a couple of blocks away. On the inside the place was quite clean, spacious, bright n well laid out. Seating was quiet n comfortable. The ambience had the aroma of a good tandoori food bcoz of the open kitchen. We ordered an non veg platter to start with along with mocktail. The food was sizzling n quite a large serving size. The fish chicken and lamb all was very well done n tasty. The softness n the juices were retained in the food which gave it an extra flavour. The lamb chops were specially good and also the seekh kababs stood out. In the main course we wanted to try the Nihari n also ordered some rogan josh. Nihari was a typically Delhi kind but low on flavours comparatively. The softness was there but the spices were slightly different though I m not saying it was bad. Really tasty. The Rohan josh also was good n tasty, adequately spiced n well cooked. The tandoori roti was also very soft n good. Overall a very North india kind of experience so far away. Service n ambience were both very good n we enjoyed my first evening in London. Surely recommended for a good food."

"This is a great Thai restaurant, very authentic. Lovely staff too. Four of us went in at lunchtime, three ate off the lunch menu, two courses for just over a tenner. I had (main menu food) a satay chicken a chicken salad. Portions slightly larger from the main menu (eg two satay skewers versus four) but all excellent dishes, chicken salad was wonderful and plentiful. Quick service too. We saw two ladies come in at 12, order, eat, pay and left in 30 mins. Parking in pay and display just round the corner. Perhaps only negative was drinks are expensive, even soft drinks. But overall still very worthwhile visiting."

"dined at bombay brasserie on 12th august for a jubilee festival. we were greeted by a smile and quickly shown on our table. dining room is pretty, spacious by other tables and comfortable. chose every mocktail on the menu and an added virgin mojito, as we were thoroughly impressed how well these were. complimentary papads were a nice touch with a really nice mango chutney. we then continued to choose 3 starter, green carfreal, seah kebab and tikka, all were amazing. packed with taste, punch stronger than that of any boxer and soft as can get, so tender. 3 main courses followed; chicken makhani, mangolorean chicken and biryani accompanied by naan, egg paratha and raita. chicken makhani was really nice and creamy, mangalorean huhn a little let in, but that could be on another type in other restaurants and biryani and brote good, not exceptional. haupthighlights were the drinks and appetizers. service was good, standard service, not intrusive and followed a particular service protocol, but not about the expectation either for a restaurant with the name as large as these. Overall we enjoyed the evening and have come to a conclusion that the drinks and appetizers are worth visiting for"
