"This Indian restaurant in Edinburgh is probably one of the most overlooked gems. The food felt just like home-cooked meals and the flavors were so delicious that I ended up dining here two days in a row. I sampled nearly all of the vegetarian dishes on the menu and was impressed by everything. I especially enjoyed the Sambar, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you choose to order here."

"for our booked time, shown too table, but took the staff 20 minutes too table to order any form of order (drinks or eat!) not said that the restaurant does not take a card! I pretend I had to leave the restaurant to drive the money machine over the street to pay the bill. bill received however, could not believe that the price of a pint of cobra 8 pfund! was always satisfied with the service before in this restaurant, but that was not our best experience."

"Sadly another Takeaway that had a great reputation and customer service but since new owns have taken over no so much service isn't good and owner doesnt understand that that he should remove items from his menu no raise the price of items and deals but then refuse to sell them i would rather pay to have new menus printed with the correct items and deal that i am willing to sell at those prices and not have to pay a fine for false advertising. But sadly it's only the latest of a sting of local takeaways in this area that have change owners and the new owns who bought the business because it was doing so well wont have the same level of custom as they dont seem to understand the things the previous owners did that got them those customer levels. Some rule for achieve this is. If it is not broke dont try to fix it. But to many these people think they know better."

"fast delivery on time. peshwari naan was very nice. the rest of the meal was lacking in the complexity of the taste, the dansak was somehow watery, with a fiery chili after the kick. very simple/minimal use of seasoned, especially noticeable for lack/use of corrian/corridor seeds and cumin. Curry dishes were also undercooked and were not cooked long enough to develop aromen or textures together to ooze, as found in a good curry. I will not order again."

"khanage is a hidden gem hidden at the end of the northern line true lahori eating served in a really funny environment. the ambiente agreed to the quality of eating, delicious nihari (laminschus) served with kulcha naan, lamb pasande (filled lamb slices) served with tandoori roti both favourite dishes were just so delicious and the meat melted in our mouth. the seasoned were just really not mouth-burning, so they enjoyed all the different seasoned. the waiters were attentive and made sure that we were well looked around we will go back and forth"

"Just had delivery through deliveroo. Just over £50 spent on a range of starters, sides and a main. Very quick delivery …. That’s about the only good thing to mention. Chicken Tikka main stuffed into the bag on its side resulting in half of the main being spilt over everything, this meant our vegetarian options being contaminated in the Tikka sauce. Poppadoms soggy and broken, again squashed into the bag. Mango chutney nice. Garlic mushrooms were still hot however everything else luke warm to say the least. Incredibly disappointing. Will not be using again."

"I was searching for a good curry house to deliver for a surprise 60th birthday party. Panas came highly recommended and were wonderful in every way. I went in a few days in advance to check they would deliver to mine and could cater for...my dietary restrictions. They could not do enough for me: a long conversation followed with the chef making suggestions and a delectable selection of veggie and vegan dishes were chosen, all to be prepared according to my needs. Last night the delivery arrived on time, the food was hot and just as mouth-watering as I'd hoped. My guests were blown away. Sadly very little was left over but hopefully just enough for me to polish off now! Thank you, Panas, for helping to make my sister's birthday celebration such a success!"

"If you are looking for tasty food then look no further! This little hidden gem is a family run restaurant of 40 years!! I have lived locally for 7 years and only today found this place…. Where do I begin with my review…. Don’t be fooled when you first enter, it’s decor isn’t bright bold or brand new it’s immaculate but instantly cosy it’s warmth makes you feel comfortable and instantly welcome. Where to begin with the staff, warm friendly attentive and they have an amazing relationship with the returning customers who have clearly been coming for years, warm hugs at the door to customers they’ve not seen in a while…. A part of the community is the feeling you get when seated inside. THE FOOD!!! Seriously I’m a wimp when it comes to spice so I ask for my food to be mild in most Indian restaurants tbh it normally kills it….. tonight I got exactly what I wanted my food made milder but the taste was still tremendous. There is a reason this place is still here after so long. To whoever happens to read this review go along take the family take your first date…. you’ll not be disappointed and you’ll definitely be back. I can’t wait to return."

"The food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious! I only tried it because someone insisted that their biryani was the best they had ever had, and they were right. The exterior may be unassuming and the decor questionable, but the service and food more than make up for it. I tried the mixed grill and the lamb biryani, both of which were amazing. "We booked a table for 7 for an 88th family birthday celebration. Service was appalling we waited an hour for our starters to arrive and waited again for the main course. They knew it was a special meal as we sang Happy Birthday before we ordered. The wait was so long that the main guest had to be taken home before the main meal arrived. I expressed our disappointment at the end of the meal and asked if it was always like this. I was told it was because they were very busy with deliveries of takeaway meals and they had little to say when I said, So you prioritise takeaways over diners sitting in the restaurant. PLEASE NOTE : the access to the toilets is very narrow, being partially blocked by furniture and, when you open the door to the Disabled toilet, it is used as a store room and is literally stacked to the ceiling with equipment, so is completely inaccessible. Please see attached photo. My daughter, who works with young people with severe disabilities was extremely annoyed about this, particularly as there was nothing at the front of the restaurant to say the toilet was inaccessible or even out of order. One of our party had a rollator but we were still not told at the start of the meal that there was no Disabled toilet."

"Platter for two consisted of two pieces chicken,two vegetable ,two mushroom .two haggis pakora s and 3 onion bhaji s with salad and a yellow coloured sauce. The sauce was like no other sauce I've had with panoramic and all the food was greasy and tasteless. The I had the lamb south indian garlic chilli with garlic and chilli naan bread. The lamb was horrible. Red and chewie and didn't taste nice. The naan was lovely though and honestly the only enjoyable part of the meal. Both of us had to run to the toilet after eating here. I definitely wouldn't recommend the food here."

"I am surprised by the evaluation of this place to be honest. on the demand of some Indian food I have ordered here by vans. tried the aloo dum gravy, huhn tikka, wobble rings among many of their appetizers. my favorite here is the biryani. it is not the typical biryani that they get in India or elsewhere. it has a beautiful aroma and very gentle taste that loved me this place. I hope more people try this place and it will be a more deserved review."
