"We visited Palki for the first time last week. Great place, genuinely friendly staff and excellent food. Also very good value for money, which certainly helps. We chose a selection of dishes that all had their own distinct flavours, unlike some places where it can be difficult to tell the difference between one dish and another. I even found myself liking okra which normally doesn't do anything for me. When you visit and make sure that's a when not an if make sure to order some chef's specials and ask for the house recommendations, and be ready to settle in for a good evening with hospitable people and excellent food. You can even take your own wine if you wish. Recommended for anything from a romantic date night to a large family get together and pretty much anything in between. Those looking for a larger booking could do well to rent the downstairs space which looks like it could comfortably host about 50 sitting down."

Excellent service at this gem of an Indian restaurant. Food is fresh and incredibly tasty, service is prompt and personal and the value is incredible. £33 for popadoms, starters, Mains and sides for two people. What else is there to say? Our favourite in this area!

Really good, really nice, well attended and well recommended for owner. Don 't worry for the 'spicy food ', they manage very well different spicy 'grades '. We recommend it, you should try it. We were in London for holidays and we will come back again to eat in Palki :

This is a solid neighbourhood Indian. Exceptional value for the quality received particularly when you consider it is BYOB. Staff were friendly and attentive all evening and went the extra mile to make a masala tea for us. Not the flashiest spot in town, but a classic, reliable spot for wholesome curries.

I have been coming to the Palki in Notting Hill for years now, and it has always been a pleasure. Last night I brought a party of four friends and we had a feast. Everything was delicious and freshly prepared. and the service, as always was charming. I found it exceptional value for money too. Highly recommended.

Palki is a fantastic Indian restaurant with affordable prices and tasty food. However, we were not fans of the colored mood lighting, which we found tacky and did not properly showcase the food. The blue lighting made the dishes appear unappealing in a brown hue. We recommend changing the lights while keeping the great food and prices. Additionally, it is important to treat the waitstaff with respect - just because the restaurant is not run by long-time British-Londoners does not excuse rudeness.
