"Very surprised to read some of the reviews from visitors at TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge as we have always had excellent service and the food is some of the best Indian dishes we have had.We were seated inside the TigerBay Shisha Lounge however as this has open sides all round and even an open roof in warmer days or nights, we felt completely safe and COVID protected. The evening was very busy but had a great atmosphere and we didn’t feel cramped or as if we were too near to other customers. The music especially with the appearance of DJ Shraii gives something a little bit extra special than other venues.All members of staff wore face masks and we noticed they politely reminded any customers to use their masks when not seated at their tables.The food is always hot and you can hear the sizzle plates sizzling as the food is served. Portions are really generous and we usually find it hard choosing from all the delicious dishes on offer.The mocktails are especially good and the fruity versions topped with fresh and sweet fruit. We have not tried the Shisha varieties however talking to people we met last week, they said the choices are good and flavours excellent quality. So even without Shisha being available at the moment under Covid rules, TigerBay Shisha Lounge is a great venue.We are looking forward to spending many more summer evenings especially in the garden area which is beautifully filled with gorgeous plants and makes you feel you are on holiday and not just on an evening out.Keep doing what you do so well TigerBay Shisha and Carlton Lounge."

"The food at this restaurant is made fresh to order. The Dal could use a bit more salt, but it was still good when paired with rice. The standout aspect of this place is the excellent service. The host even went above and beyond to create a new mocktail for a colleague who did not like the Virgin Colada. The food may take a bit longer to be served since it is made to order, but it is definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional service and fresh, made-to-order food."

"This was our first visit to this restaurant which is about 5 minutes walk from Chatham Station. There is a varied menu and plenty of vegetarian, fish and meat options. We had difficulty in making our choices, but the waitress made recommendations. The food was delicious and the portions were generous and it was excellent value. "very nice restaurant. love the interiors. beautiful looking place with a bar. and apparently they soon open a Sheesha lounge and look forward to it! had a great experience here. Eat: we started with Indian ingwer and Masala tea, which was really good, and pappadum. for the main course we ordered chicken tikka masala and a fried rice, dhaba chicken and pilaureis and Karahi sprout with plain naan. I must say we were not disappointed by any of the dishes. the food was delicious and portioned enough to fill it completely. price: a little expensive, too little for us students, but I would say it worth it. service: the staff is very polite and beautiful! very happy with the service. definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves or wants to try good Indian food!"

"I had a great time at Masala Gallery. The Long Island Spiced Tea Cocktail was impressive and the food was excellent. The butter naan was some of the best I've ever had - light and fluffy. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The large TV channels added to the atmosphere. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely visit again. The only downside was limited parking spaces."

"Myself and 3 colleagues booked for dinner, we arrived and there was only 1 waiter on duty. He sat us down came over with the menu and just put on the table and walked away. After a while he came back, we ordered drinks and before my colleague could order our poppadoms he walked away. The food was awful. The Pilau rice was brown in colour, pilau rice is yellow with cloves and cardamom this was not. The chicken tikka masala was awful, it was luminous orange and the chicken was tough. The chicken byriani was inedible, it was mega spicy, my colleague couldn't eat it. The spinach in the saag paneer was slimy, horrible food. Never going again."

"We stopped by for lunch while exploring the area. At first, I thought the restaurant was closed because it was so quiet, but the manager greeted us warmly. We ordered some Bombay-style snacks to nibble on, and they were quite spicy (I usually avoid spicy foods), but very enjoyable nonetheless. My partner's chicken starter was a bit too salty for our taste (we try to limit salt for health reasons), but the chef came over to chat with us and generously offered to prepare another chicken starter right away. He also adjusted our mains to suit our preferences. The mango lassi was delicious, as was the virgin piña colada. The portion sizes were great too (pictures were taken after we finished eating)."

"We visited Palki for the first time last week. Great place, genuinely friendly staff and excellent food. Also very good value for money, which certainly helps. We chose a selection of dishes that all had their own distinct flavours, unlike some places where it can be difficult to tell the difference between one dish and another. I even found myself liking okra which normally doesn't do anything for me. When you visit and make sure that's a when not an if make sure to order some chef's specials and ask for the house recommendations, and be ready to settle in for a good evening with hospitable people and excellent food. You can even take your own wine if you wish. Recommended for anything from a romantic date night to a large family get together and pretty much anything in between. Those looking for a larger booking could do well to rent the downstairs space which looks like it could comfortably host about 50 sitting down."

"When you're craving authentic Indian food with the true taste and flavor of India, look no further than Taka Tak in Oldbury. The dishes are freshly cooked, not reheated from frozen or leftovers, and absolutely delicious. "We went to Giftos last week. Due to ramzaan its jam packed at iftaar time. They dont take booking so the trick is to come minimum 20-25 mins early to get the table.They serve dates to break the fast. We called for few veg and non veg items I will give rating below. We were so hungry totally forgot to take photos Seekh kebab 3/5 Haleem 3.5/5 Matar Paneer 2.5/5 Paneer tikka 1/5 chicken karahi 3.5/5 Kulfi rabdri falooda 3/5 there was no rabdri and kulfi was ok in taste Not sure if the chefs were under pressure to make food at iftar time for so many tables. We found chkn Karahi bit oily. Over all the food was good. We will try once more once ramzan is over and if there is difference."

"After being asked to order because it takes a while me thinking, that’s good must be freshly cooked and kitchen closes at 2120 even though closing days 2300!! . From ordering it took exactly 5 minutes to bring to the table, mushroom rice, cheese Nan and Lamb madras. Rice was really greasy and madras was a bit shy of lamb and it must have just been re heated, so anxious about stomach tomorrow Most expensive cheese naan I’ve ever had £5.25 and wasn’t that good either. "We ate in here last night. It was early and clearly although the restaurant was empty, they were busy with takeaway trade. We had the Happy Hour menu and found the food to be attractively served and really very good. The waiters were smart and...friendly, making an effort to talk to us. We don't have hearty appetites these days and regretted not being able to finish our main courses. The waiter kindly allowed us to take the leftovers and packed it up nicely for us. It was just as nice today! Good luck to a very pleasant restaurant which turns out delicious food at very reasonable prices and has such pleasant staff."
