"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"Booked online as we had been gifted a voucher for afternoon tea. Arrived and were asked to find a small table and seat ourselves, told a member of staff would be with us shortly. After 25 mins nothing and my husband had to approach person who appeared to be running the outdoor service. He admitted that we had been forgotten. Our hot drinks order was taken and we were encouraged to view the extra drink menu. Our afternoon tea arrived and was delicious. At no point did anyone come to take a further drinks order and again we had to approach staff. The bill arrived promptly enough and had to explain the voucher as there was apparently to evidence of email and staff on duty communications. Sadly this marred our visit, as service was distinctly lacking!"

"We often come here for Sunday carvery which is very good so thought we would try an evening meal for my Mum's birthday. I am afraid the overall service let down the whole experience. When we arrived, instead of being taken to our table by the waitress, she just pointed and said you are at that table over there. After being to a busy bar area to get our drinks we found out that the 2 waitress standing around did not take orders so we had to go back to the busy bar again and wait to give our food orders. When the food came it was very good, especially my seafood platter. Everyone thought the food was good except for my Mum who had gone for one of the specials. It was so poor especially for being a special. She had one tiny piece of fish with no sauce, 4-5 very small new potato's, a few carrots and a few bits of broccoli. All the veg was hard and there was not enough to satisfy even a person with the smallest appetite. We told the waitress about the hard veg but she just said oh right and there was no apology. When we spoke to the chap at the bar and said why don't the waitress take the orders he said he liked people to come to the bar so the staff could meet them. We all felt this was a lame reason and probably did not trust the teenage waitresses to take the orders. It is a real shame as the place is lovely and the food generally is pretty good but is missing a professional touch. We said we would not return for an evening meal but just stick to the Sunday Carvery."

"Cute pub on Bath Avenue, this place is instantly appealing for the great courtyard/terrace to the front. Whether just for a drink or some grub this place is worth a visit. Staff are friendly and are very helpful particularly when you're trying ti grab the next available table outside... ha ha, yes they are like gold dust during a nice day and they happily sit you inside and move your order outside without any fuss or sense that you are inconveniencing them. Food, I've only had the brunch menu which I enjoyed and would happily return :"

"This place is a hidden gem! My husband, 5-year-old son, our dog, and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was fantastic. The staff are friendly and caring, and the food is amazing! The portions are hearty and full of flavor, and everything we tried was perfect. Our favorites were the mussels and battered fish - the fish was huge and delicious! They also have a great selection of gins. We stayed in a spacious family room which was perfect for us, and there is a small play park for the kids. The bonus is that you can walk to Newburgh Beach from the hotel or take a short car ride. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"When we got there our table had been given to someone else so we were put in a corner right next to another table within earshot for the whole evening... The starter and main was lovely but the dessert, a simple Eton mess was inedible... A bowl of mush with cream and a strawberry on top... They took it back and took it off the bill but it ruined the experience of a romantic meal."

"Good selection on the menu. For starters we had the celeriac and the scallop, for mains the hanging seafood skewer and the muscles. All were very well done. Not exceptional but very good. No complaints about any of the food. We shared a cheese board, only comment would be there could have been a tad more cheese, though this is a pretty common issue with restaurant cheese boards. The wine choice was also good, and lots of choices of good wines by the glass. Service was very friendly, nicely informal. Didn't feel rushed, we were seated for a tad over 2 hours for 3 courses. Positive feedback for the toilets, very clean!! The aspect we scored least was value. Not really specific to On The Quay, but generally we've noticed how much more it costs for a 3 course meal with drinks. All in all a very pleasant evening."

"Poor value for money. It's not the worst room I have stayed in and was on the first impression lovley. We stayed in room 6. We paid nearly £400 and definitely think it was well over charged. We had a huge gap in the bottom of our door that ment we had to put a towel to stop noise and people being able to see or hear us in our room. The room was clean but paint was very flaky and the t.v was in an awkward place, no sofa or at least a comfy place to sit. There was basic tea and coffee. The bathroom was very nice however no thought was given to comforts. I have been in more affordable hotels and have had much more thought given to bath wash, amenities etc and in the heart of Glasgow for around £175 with drastic consideration to travelers. Room was clean breeding was comfy and the bath in the room was fun. If this room and the service had of been £200 a night it would have been about right but it was very basic thought into what would have been a really lovely stay of they had of added aircon, Fridge for extras, an easy plug for kettle, bathwash, toothpaste/brush, even a coffee machine like we have seen on other hotels of this cost. We would of complained but where only staying one night, one thing for sure we would not go back. We can get better luxury for less and closer to town."

"Discovered The Ice Chef shop by accident while out with the kids. We were made very welcome by Lindsay. There's a great selection of ice cream flavours on the menu but you can also design your own. After deciding what we'd have Lindsay went to...work creating amazing ice cream rolls. The boys watched closely as she explained every stage of the process and even asked if they would like to have a go themselves. We now go back every chance we get, we've tried various ice-creams and smoothies, all have veggie or vegan options. I've had delicious coffee while watching the boys create and make their own deserts."

"During my recent visit to Lincoln, I ordered a Cookie Dough milkshake at Eskimoo. I had tried the milkshake a few years ago and remembered it being really good. However, this time I was disappointed to find out that they used a powder instead of real cookie dough for the flavor. Despite the sign claiming they use real ingredients and not syrups, the milkshake did not meet my expectations. At over £5, it was expensive and not worth it. Unfortunately, I won't be making the mistake of ordering it again. Goodbye, Eskimoo."

"Ordered Red Hot Fried Chicken for 14GBP. It was described as Southern Fried Chicken with American cheese and streaky bacon, I expected a plate of beautiful spicy crunchy fried chicken. I got was the a single tint soggy patty served as a burger. . Smoked streaky bacon? Nope. Spice, nope. The bread was so dry, that any moisture from the oily surface had been sucked into the dry void faster than the hadron collider can split an atom. the waitress came, asked me if it was ok and I said, no it was not very good she was ‘to have a word with the chef’. To my astonishment when I went to order another pint (given my mouth was not drier than it would be after a cream cracker challenge that that would be on the house. Nope. Nearly 8GBp for a the pint. I would be surprised if the ingredients cost more than 1.50. And these poor quality ingredients were presented with about as much skill as Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood presenting the Brits."

"The restaurant has a nice appearance and the staff is friendly, but the menu is disappointingly small and uninspiring. With only 4 options each for starters, main courses, and desserts, the choices are very safe and lack imagination. The menu shown on their website was much better than what was actually offered. Although the food was well cooked and tasty, the overall experience was underwhelming given the upscale setting. It's a shame that the chef or manager did not provide more variety or creativity in the menu. The main courses consisted of typical options such as chicken, salmon, steak, and a vegetable dish. Overall, the menu was boring."

"We had my Father's Wake at The George one mid afternoon a couple of weeks ago. We had about 80 guests and were able to use the back room and also spill out into the main areas of the pub. Claire and her team were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. All the guest really enjoyed the Afternoon Tea that was provided. We even took lots of cake home as there was so much. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm and it gave my Mum and the rest of our friends and family a comfortable and stress free location to celebrate the life of my father. Thank you to everyone at The George for making everything so easy. Much appreciated!"

"The Foresters is a charming pub located on the main street, featuring a cozy beer garden in the front. The bar area is tastefully decorated and seamlessly transitions into the dining section. The menu offers a variety of upscale pub fare as well as classic burger and chips options. A staff member suggested trying the burger, which was delicious with devilled mushrooms and cheese. I initially planned on stopping there, but couldn't resist trying their tapas-style desserts: small portions that you can order multiple of. They were delightful, flavorful, and had a unique twist without being overwhelming. Friendly staff, delicious food - highly recommended."

"I had a wonderful dining experience at a charming restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and professional, providing top-notch service throughout. The restaurant was clean, beautifully decorated, and the table setup created a pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the haggis bon bons, though the lukewarm chips slightly detracted from the otherwise perfect experience. Despite this, I will definitely be returning as it is rare to find such a gem in Inverness."

"Overall afternoon tea at Feya was good. We were greated by a very polite lady who offered us a seat in the ‚bird cage’ area. The food was great, delicious platter of sweets and canapes, large selection. I have ordered a jasmin tea. It was a tea from a bag (not loose leaves which was a bit dissappointing). The tea teasted nothing like the jasmin, more like grass??? Even the water did not change the colour, so I can tell it was a poor quality tea bag. I’ve ordered a latte at an extra cost, which was very good. The waiting time was 55 min, my friend already finished her coffee. Service was slow, I understood we were forgotten for around 30min and people who came after us were served their AFT first. A bit sad as it was my friend’s birthday celebration, which I have mentioned while booking reservation. The toilet was not super clean. Lots of dust on the walls and in nooks and crannies, definitely a room for improvement."

"My friend and myself had the Christmas menu. The soup was lukewarm the main meal didn’t really have all the trimmings. One parsnip one carrot and half boiled potatoes. Turkey was not too bad the desserts were very small squares of cheesecake with a strawberry. I had made a mistake ordering white wine and not rose. So I asked if I could change it. I’m sure they weren’t happy. And when the bill arrived I was charged for the wines I returned I had to mention this. The bill came to with service charges added at the end one was for nearly my friend left a tip. We were left hungry and ended up going to a shop and buying crisps and chocolate. Not really worth per person. Left a bit disappointed to be honest."

"Well first of all arriving to the hotel it looks like an average house with a lots of car park, apart from the sign on the side of the road that says Heywood Spa nothing special for a 4.6 star hotel. The stuff is absolutely amazing, feels like a family run “posh wannabe” hotel. We had the executive room (210), the double bed had 2 single mattress, ripped wallpapers, a really noisy old school A/C and a little TV like a monitor in the middle, shower has a really really poor water pressure, you have to be straight under it, the walls are very thin you can hear people sneezing 4 rooms next to you and hear people checking in the reception even though it’s pretty far away. The balcony had 2 metal chairs without pillows and a tiny table. The spa is another downside of the hotel as the sauna not working 5 years ago as seeing now the reviews, still not working, the hot tub has loads of chemicals in it it’s literally making a bubble bath into the pool after 10 minutes. Pool is very cold and pretty small as well as the hot tub. Once you finished you have to walk through the restaurant unless you’d like to use the changing room what is literally just a room with a lightbulb and chair, no heating or anything obviously.Restaurant and the bar looks nice but a Vodka/Coke ended up £8 and a Corona lager £5.50. The breakfast is pretty good if it’s included the £200 a night price but I definitely wouldn’t pay for it separately as you have many options in Tenby. The lunch is looking good but way over seasoned to make it look nice and it’s really not worth £25. Pasta one side of the plate was taste like English mustard and nothing else. The tip is 10% what is fair but I’d personally pay double tip for the service and half price for the food. You have many Italian restaurants for half a price with awesome food on the beach. This hotel is definitely not 4.6 star, maybe 3 because of the little Spa but way overpriced and overrated.I’m not being picky, but for £200 a night in one of Tenby’s most expensive 4.6 star Hotel people have expectations."
