"At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadn’t even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiter’s attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightful—hard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was £140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of £17.50), but we were actually charged £152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."

If you visit on a Friday and a Saturday night the atmosphere is one of excitement and happyness.. I can today just for a lunch date as I knew it would be quiet ... "Terrible Experience Unkind Staff and Poor Service I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this bar and restaurant was so frustrating that I feel compelled to share. From the moment we walked in, the staff were unwelcoming and seemed irritated by our presence. It felt like we were an inconvenience to them rather than valued customers. Our server was rude and dismissive, barely paying attention to our requests and acting like we were wasting their time. When we asked simple questions about the menu, they responded with a condescending attitude, as if we were bothering them. The entire atmosphere was uncomfortable, with no warmth or friendliness from any of the staff. To make matters worse, the food took forever to arrive, and when it finally did, it was mediocre at best. Combine that with the rude service, and it was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I definitely won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant night out. There are plenty of other places where the staff actually care about their customers. Avoid this place if you want to enjoy your evening!"

"On walking in we were shown to the bar and told it would be a short wait for our table, it turned out to be seconds rather than minutes, the staff were very pleasent and helpful and patient. The food and drinks arrived at just the right timing and both the food and drinks were spot on. I would recommend Bellini's to all, mywife asked a waiter if he could take a photo of our party and he did so with no complaint at all. All the staff were polite and friendly."

"Hats off to the management and staff of Cantinetta for truly earning this one-star review from me. It was a team effort that I felt deserved recognition. We had guests from out of town and it was up to us to pick a restaurant that showcased the best of Crosby (according to Google reviews). We were a party of 10 who had reserved a table for Saturday evening with plenty of time to prepare and even pre-order if needed. Upon arrival, we were seated and given the drink menu. Unfortunately, the staff took 40 minutes before taking our drink orders, despite reminders. They seemed to make excuses rather than fulfill their duties. We should have probably left at that point, but we stayed. The food that was eventually served was inedible, particularly the Bruschettas which were popular choices for starters. There were delays in serving the main dishes as well, with some younger guests jokingly starting to eat the table. Thankfully, the main meals were of decent quality once served, but the service lacked any apologies or acknowledgment of our dissatisfaction. When we spoke to the manager about our experience, he seemed indifferent. This lack of care or apologies for a subpar experience on their part is the reason for this one-star review. "We had a table for eight for Sunday lunch and decided to go with the set menu, which offered great value at £20 for three courses. There were four options for each course: starters, mains, and desserts. We started with calamari, spicy meatballs, and halloumi. For our main course, everyone chose the sirloin of beef, which was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, vegetables, and gravy. For dessert, we enjoyed a variety of options including chocolate brownie, Baileys crème brûlée, tiramisu, and panna cotta. The portion sizes were generous, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The restaurant was quite quiet, with only two other tables occupied, but it still had a pleasant atmosphere. The service was outstanding, with very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place!"

"really nice restaurant, friendly and efficient staff and good eating! super comfortable to moxy hotel where we were. I ordered the margarita and the Gnocchi bowl and my man got the double pepperoni pizza. the drink was very strong without being all tequila. the gnocchi were well cooked and the buffalo mozzarella was amazing. the only smallest thing is that I think that the double paprika pizza could come with even more pfefferoni to better match its names, but I don't draw points for it. in any case recommend!"

"Me and my partner woke up in need of some good food to fuel us through the day. We love to try new places and we saw that la gioconda was only a 10 minute drive from us. We fancied a good traditional Italian meal. Let me start by saying they surpassed every expectation we had before we even knew it. Ergina the host and server was with us every step of the way serving not only great customer service, but the best vibes, and big smiles. Now the food. UNREAL. Being vegetarian they had plenty of options and I went for the veggie pizza which had my mouth watering from the flavour explosion and perfect dough. My partner went for the classic carbonara, when being served the dish the chef let us know it would be the best carbonara we have ever tasted. Let me just say…..HE DID NOT LIE!!! From the authentic ingredients and immaculate decor and environment we left with full belly’s and smiles on both our faces. Thank you to the chef, to amazing Erzina and to this gem of a restaurant in Hornsey, you guys have made our week! They say it’s the best pizza in town and that is only the start of the truth. Will definitely be returning and recommending, thank you thank you thank you"

"December 17, 2019 Very disappointed in our meal tonight. The fish and lobster pie had no lobster in it and very little fish. The size of the dish was also quite small and left me feeling hungry. When I mentioned how dissatisfied I was with the quality of the pie and the lack of lobster and very small quantity of fish the waiter said she would let the kitchen know. She returned to say that the manager had been informed of my comments on the meal. But the manager never came to speak to our complaint and the only thing that was offered to us was a free dessert. It was a overpriced considering there was hardly any fish and no lobster at all in a £14.00 fish and lobster pie. This was a much anticipated return visit as our last dinner here was very good."

"Good morning. I have tried since Friday to add this review on your website. Continually saying there is an error. Just some feedback regarding my booking at 18.45 on Friday 31 May. On arrival myself and my partner were escorted to a small two person table on the upper balcony. I had to sit with my foot under the table leg the whole night to prevent the table from rocking. Next without our knowledge our main course was put in front of a large party sitting next to us. It sat there for approx five minutes when one of the ladies at that table asked us if we were waiting on a large chicken and mushroom pizza and a chicken main course. We said we were. The lady stopped one of the waiters and explained what happened and the waiter proceded to lift our meals from the other table and duly sat it in front of us. This was embarrassing and put us both in a position to eat it after it sat at another table for five minutes. We did not want the embarrassment or to embarrass the other large party next to us. Lastly my partner made the excuse to myself that she wasn't hungry after all and after two or three bites of her food decided she could not eat hers. Setting etc was perfect however both of us are extremely disappointed in our visit. Regards. Jim"

"Higher Prices, smaller portions I generally rate La Vita highly but this time I need to mark it down as I feel the pinch of shrinkflation, prices have gone up whilst portions (e.g. pasta) have become smaller. I also have to mention the dessert we got, it was the toffee popcorn sundae. Now my wife does not like complaining but as a trusted customer I must. In the past I have enjoyed this dessert but not the last two times. This most recent time, the dessert was 80% whipped cream and 20% ice cream, should be the other way around. If I wanted a mouthful of whipped cream I would just go to Asda and buy a can of sprayable cream and eat that. But I don't expect that in a restaurant charging almost £10 for the dessert. I don't know if its a money saving idea to give the customer less ice cream. The mains was still decent enough."
