"We were in the area so popped on for dinner 4th April. I'd like to congratulate thd Management for a nice, clean and welcoming pub. Outside there's a large carpark and tables to the side. Inside, you'll find different areas to sit; elevated tables with high stools, snugs (one with club chairs) and more formal dining tables all nicely laid waiting for diners. We were pleasantly surprised to find all burgers at £9.95 on Wednesdays, so I had one. Yum. My Wife had the chilli which was very good as well, although the rice could've been warmer. The beer's good, the wine choice good, the food's good. Our waitress, Katie was warm friendly. I can't eat nuts and mentioned this on my booking. The staff went out of their way to help which isn't always the case so I was impressed. Highly recommended. A great pub."

"We enjoyed the food, it was as authentic as any cuisine can be outside of its origins and to satisfy local palates. The coleslaw with coconut was especially tasty. The grilled steak and chicken were also succulent, however the person who served it did not scrape off the lovely spiced marinade that was taken away on the sizzling plate. Cocktails were better than any I've had recently. Service was always with a smile, but very very slow! Each time we had to try very hard to get someone's attention. Will we go again? Probably if we are at Westfield and wanted a bite to eat. But would not make the journey especially."

"I went to this restaurant twice now and both times I wait for an hour to eat. each deserves a second chance so that I visited for the opening, in the hope to have another experience. I don't have that. we had come to the point where we wanted to arrive at 2.30 and not get our food until after 4 was not what we expected. our food finally came, but divided so that we waited longer. the manager gave us free drinks, for which we were grateful, but the server took so long that she brought the manager herself. a server came to ask us if we would like to bill if we had not finished our drinks or foods that makes us feel like going. although the manager originally tried to make our experience right. it was separated from the server that asked us if we wanted to bill. we traveled 2 hours for this restaurant his sad to see that it had not changed. if they want to wait over an hour to eat feel compelled to leave due to more bookings, then they go on."

"This was for family members birthdays which we booked. When the food took an hour to arrive and we asked where it was we were told by the waiter that it wouldn’t be long but they were struggling as everyone in the restaurant arrived at same time and they were busy. No apology was offered. Mine and my partners food was fine but the two steaks were disgraceful. Both ordered medium rare and were medium/medium well at a push. They were completely different sizes in thickness and one was completely inedible as it was all fat/gristle. We asked another member of staff for the steaks to be taken off of the bill which they did and they came round with shots (still no apology) however as the service and attitude was poor we didn’t even stay for dessert which is a shame given it was for birthdays."

"We went to the Black Horse for Mother’s Day lunch. Staff were very friendly and helpful, kept checking on us to make sure we were enjoying our food and offering us drinks. The food was incredible, very large roast dinners and good portion sizes. Kids meals were delicious too. Seeing as it was Mother’s Day we treated ourselves to dessert, all the desserts were homemade and amazing! We had the brownie and the biscoff cheesecake and the kids enjoyed the ice cream my dad requested an Irish coffee which wasn’t on the menu but they made it for him anyway. At the end of the meal us mums in the group were gifted a mini bottle of gin and some chocolates which we were very happy with, such a lovely gesture! Overall a lovely pub with yummy food and a friendly atmosphere, I’m sure we will be back!"

"pho is a great option if you are looking for a vegan clear broth nudel soup and have no time to go through all mother and pop lists to find something more authentic (and vegan.) what is beautiful at pho, they offer at least two vegan broths, one is closer to normal broth and the other is a spicy broth (but tends to be very keen. I was sincerely a bit underwhelmed by both broths at several Pho sites, but they can still add many sriracha and other toppings to their tasting. I love her tofu, which is very porous and holds a good volume of broth in the inner. the phosuppe is with the very thin phonos (not my favorites) and the spicy suppe is with the thick/round noodles, like spaghetti noodles (I love this nudel option.) my general judgment is that is great if they are in an prise or have to find a place that will satisfy vegan and nonveganer equally, as it is virtually everywhere that there is phospie. but I am more inclined to choose a local mother and pop if it is an option. I also found the version that is incompatible with Pho sites."

"We were here for a friends birthday party with a group of about 20 people. The first impression of this restaurant was very good, it looked great, nicely decorated and the menu was very appealing. We ordered drinks and that was good, they tasted wonderful and were served in good proportions. Nevertheless the food was kind of disappointing. It took long before the waiters took our orders and before it was served, they forgot some of the food and the portions of for example the curry and the skewers were less than expected, and some food was cold when it arrived at the table. Also the meat of the skewer was poorly presented. Some small pieces of meat on a big empty board. I would suggests that the fries that are served with the skewers is already presented on the plate and it should also be served with a (coconut)coleslaw. However everyone with the burritos and pita's seemed to be happy with there choice, and all the food tasted good! I also liked that they served iced tap water with the food, all restaurants should learn from this."

"Very lovely eatery. The portion sizes are ideal, the food is very flavoursome. They have a good selection of drinks. Above all else, the staff were incredible during our visit. A lovely lady called Samantha looks after the 8 of us is such a courteous and caring manner. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available (but weren't tried by my party) Parking: Over thirty spaces in a private carpark in front of the pub, easily accessible just off the main road. Kid-friendliness: All children are given a kiddies entertainment pack (as per the photo in my review), the staff are so understanding and friendly to the children."

"I was disappointed that when we turned up the restaurant was closed for a private venue, despite the fact that i successfully booked a table through OpenTable. The staff tried to be helpful and find us a table but it was clear the whole restaurant was taken up by an event so i told them not to worry about it. It was a shame that i thought i'd booked somewhere to eat before a gig at the O2 academy and then had to try find somewhere else, which was very difficult. If the booking hadn't been accepted in the first place i would simply have booked another restaurant."

"I would give this restaurant zero stars if I could. My party and I were excited to dine here for dinner. We arrived on time with a reservation, but the waitress seemed surprised. We ordered dessert and water but waited 30 minutes without any update. It took 35 minutes just to get our water. When we asked about our dessert, the waitress said it would be another 10 minutes. After waiting for so long despite having a reservation, we decided to cancel our order. The waitress did not offer to speed things up or apologize. We found dessert elsewhere that was faster and cheaper. Overall, this experience was a disappointing waste of time."

"Very underrated place. One of my favourite places to eat out at, only discovered it 3 months ago and I’ve already been here quite a few times. Thai food is often inauthentic in London, but at Greyhound Cafe you will surely find the food to be authentic. Do not miss out on their Holy Basil Chilli Bomb, or their Drunken Seafood Noodles dishes. "While the service and friendliness at this restaurant were exceptional, the Sunday roasts left much to be desired. The beef was tough and difficult to chew, and the pork was mostly fat with little meat. On a positive note, the vegetables and desserts were enjoyable. The prawn cocktail was a unique dish, and the whitebait was tasty. Overall, the dining experience was not great, especially since I was treating my friends."

"While the food is good the service is very poor. We arrived for our reservation to be told our table was not ready. No problem, we waited in the bar for minutes and then went back to find they’d forgotten about us and had no table for us. They eventually found us a table, but it wasn’t laid up fully and they didn’t sort it out. We then waited another minutes before we gave up and went to the bar to get someone to take our food order. After our food arrived we again waited for a very long time and eventually had to call someone over to order the children’s ice creams. They then came out with the wrong flavours. We asked for dessert menus and waited minutes for those. After another minutes we gave up, went to the bar to pay and had dessert and coffee at home. I’m not very impressed with the service at all. Last week I was there someone ordered a slice of cake only to be given a plate and told “you’ll have to pick it up with your fingers, I don’t know where the tongs are” he also wasn’t offered any cutlery to eat his cake with. Such a shame as the pub is lovely."
