"We tried the early tasting menu (great value, book online beforehand). The food was beautifully presented and the portions were generous. They substituted all the meat dishes on the menu with vegetarian options, which were all incredibly delicious. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff, especially a charming French waiter. The atmosphere was lively and the outdoor seating was lovely. We would definitely return."

"we approached the writing and asked for a table of 6 to say: "Don't worry about anything until 8 o'clock". that was around 6.05 clock, the restaurant was half empty ... so we went online for 6.15 clock with open re-entered ... told them we had a reservation, observed “some heated words”. between the staff and we were taken to a perfectly empty table for 6. just 50 minutes waiting for our food. that said our server was friendly and apologetic. eating was ok, 2 pizzas, 3 calzones and a sirloin steak, that was definitiw rump, as it was to think and took hard to sirloin! to the happiness we have a taste card so that the meal with a softdrink cost only £10 per head, and we were limited due to a cinema booking for time. lection learned book before entering, and use it taste card, not sure that I would have paid the bill in full amount, we had not discounted!"

"At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadn’t even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiter’s attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightful—hard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was £140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of £17.50), but we were actually charged £152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."

"the new vegan menu is wonderful! pizzas, soupen, hot dogs, burger, mac n cheese, garlic bread pizza, vegan mayo, ice...so much choice! really recommend the kansas city pizza the mac no cheese (cauliflower butternut squash sauce) is quite a small part, so it would be as one side to another dish, but not alone. update feb 2021: the beet burger with fried aubergine is amazing! oreo cake was also delicious. it tasted as if it had been made with whipped cream."

"I placed an order last sunday at the Sheffield London Road Rassams. It said it would be delivered at 7.04pm. At 7.30 I rang the restaurant to ask where the order was at first, they couldn't find the order and after telling me to wait they then to be told me they couldn't tell me how long and they were busy. They were extremely rude, shouting in the background. The order finally came at 8pm, well 2 items came biscoff pancake cookie dough. The cookie dough was cold and the pancakes burnt. I tried to call the restaurant about 10 times, no answer. I rang Darnall Rassams to ask what I could do, I spoke with Aziz, who couldn't have been more helpful. He tried to contact the store but couldn't reach them and apologised profusely. He asked to take my number to get them to call me back as soon as possible. They then called me back via social media whatts app which is completely unacceptable. I spoke to Salen, who was extremely rude, didn't listen to anything I said or let me explain what had happened with the order. He kept talking over me and telling me I had received the order. I explained what was missing and the items that came was burnt and the other one cold. He told me he would send the order again and they are busy so no idea how long it would be. 5 minutes later, the missing items came. The ice cream was water and the rest of the food cold. This had not been freshly made. I have yet again tried to call the restaurant back and the line is now busy. This was nearly a 30 pound order and after ordering from Rassams numerous times I find the customer service absolutely disgusting. Not only was the staff incredibly rude, they quite frankly couldn't have cared less. Salen was talking to someone else whilst trying to speak to me and it sounded like he was laughing whilst I tried to explain what had happened. I would just like to finish this with a thank you to Naziz Darnall restaurant for his help. This was supposed to be a treat for the family which has now turned into chaos as my autistic son will now not eat his ice cream as its more milk!!!!! STILL NO RESPONSE TO MY EMAIL AFTER OVER A WEEK!!!"

"We ate dinner at Coast to Coast last night and the management and staff were fantastic and could not have helped more even though they were very busy. The food is always very nice, we probably eat there once every few weeks, I've only ever had one bad meal in probably over 50 visits, even then it was changed immediately. Last night they put the wrong sauce on and it was changed immediately and without question, we got a complimentary drink. Cannot recommend highly enough. The only small groan is that with a change of menu they have taken off my favourite drink, an old fashioned, please bring that back!"

"Good evening, On Saturday of this month (January), I made a reservation for people at Coast to Coast Restaurant and I always use open table everytime I go there with family, friends or my husband. I also use this (Open table) to any other nice restaurants in London and I have never had a problem. When we got there at the time of our reservation, the guy that was as the Host position or in the Reception welcoming all the people was so rude (he was bald as I don’t have his name). We got there, said we had a reservation, and he said he didn’t have anything then we showed him the confirmation from OpenTable and his words were: “I don’t have anything, sorry”. WHATS IS THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Is AWFUL. I get there can be some mistakes but it is unacceptable the way he answered to a place we go to enjoy with friends and then this just makes it not want to come back. I go to loads of different restaurants and they have never treated us like that. If they are not gonna have the reservations then don’t promotion your restaurant in OpenTable cause it makes it an inconvenient believing you have something and then realizing you don’t."

"Visited on a Tuesday evening. The food was beyond dry like it was left overs from the weekend.For starters we had burnt end. They were more like lumps of charcoal. I get there burnt end these were incinerated.For mains we had the brisket, again really really dry. It was a struggle to eat it. The chips were the only nice part.No one checked on us while eating. Then when paying the bill when asked how it was we say it was ok ish no follow up to this by staff member. Couldn't be bothered to argue as my partner and I were beyond disappointed. We just wanted to get home as we had travelled to visit on glowing reviews. Will not be revisiting any time in the future."

"I've ordered from here before and usually the food is good enough but this time it was awful. My burger was dry, they gave me a smaller Red Bull than the one I paid for on the menu and to top it all off there was 4-5 black pieces of plastic in the waffle! You'd think this would be a serious matter and I emailed them directly because obviously something was wrong and I didn't want anyone else getting plastic in their food. But over a week later still no reply, they obviously don't care. I ordered through Just Eat and was able to request a refund through the website but with no input or comment from Presko at all. "Been here for breakfast many times but never for dinner before. Atmosphere was as expected, the place has a shabby elegance of bygone days. We were very lucky and sat on a table in the window with wonderful views of the lead and the sea. There were a number of vegetarian choices that weren’t the usual pasta or risotto. Some thought had been put in to them. I would say that a few “tweaks” were needed with my choice of halloumi/chips/onion rings, mainly being a longer cooking time for the chips and halloumi. Partners steak was good evidently. Service was very good. Overall a pleasant evening that is good value. We would return!"

"Bad communication from dismissive staff, despite poorly made drinks. On arrival, a waitor stopped the pair in front of us like a bouncer, told them to return to the queue in a shooing tone, only for the maitre d 'hotel to sit them down where they were about to sit anyway. Wherever the adminastative need is here, it is coming with inefficiency and rudeness to a pair of people who were waiting for a couple of minutes prior for no good reason, so to sit in a quiet cafe. Food and drinks were ordered exclusively online, through a slow web app my vodaphone signal struggled. £5.50 for an Iced Matcha Late. I ordered regular dairy as I 'm a cheap git, despite my preference for coconut, and was made to suffer under the waitor 's misunderstanding. I was brought fresh milk, which was clearly less fresh than anticipated as it leant an unforgivable sourness and chunkiness to the drink. The maitre d did not allow me to conclude my request that the milk seems a bit off before dimissing it and dashing off I really should have been offered a replacement, or ideally a refund based on my partner 's drink. Said partner got an iced chai, apparently sub par to the sam drink at Gails and (apparently) Starbucks. Nice ambiance, indeed ruining the experience for me. I think people know about this place from instagram, so it 's just groomed, vain 20 somethings, couples and mother daughter pairs, and unfortunately the former were the most present."

"Absolutely disappointed beyond belief. Why even bother opening and advertising that they do food? We really should have walked straight back out the door upon entering. But we had read reviews and really wanted to try this place. The staff were disinterested. Pointed to a table where we were to sit for our evening meal. We were given what can only be described as filthy sticky pieces of paper that were supposed to represent a menu. The table was dirty and sticky with drink stains. Nevertheless we proceeded to order 3 main meals. Over an hour later we still had no food and not once did anyone come over to the table to explain why. The place was by no means busy. There were 4 tables with customers! After approximately an hour and 10 minutes we asked if there was a time that we could expect our food to be ready. Bearing in mind our order was for baby back ribs, a steak burger and a chicken skewer. So not overly complicated. We were told that there was only 1 chef working!. And that the manageress would go and check for us. She returned to say that food would be ready in 5 minutes. Approximately 10 minutes later the baby ribs and steak burger arrived. We had to wait a further 5 minutes for the chicken skewer meal. When it did arrive the chicken was cold and absolutely cremated. So much so that the chicken itself had started to disintegrate and a powder of charcoal remains were on the plate. Absolutely disgusting and inedible. Our entire party left all the food and we went to the bar to pay and left. Disgusted, disappointed, disillusioned and would NEVER RETURN"

"I must say, I am not one to usually write reviews on Trip Advisor, but the appalling customer service I received from this restaurant was absolutely disgraceful! I placed a large order and waited the allotted time indicated on Uber Eats. When I contacted the restaurant to inquire about my order and offer assistance with directions, the rude man on the other end of the phone informed me that they had cancelled my order. His tone and words were completely disrespectful. Despite the fact that the payment had already been deducted from my bank account and I explained that I am a struggling student, he rudely told me to be quiet and accused me of "barking" when I was simply expressing my frustration. I am now out £30 and left without any food that night, as they cancelled my order without any valid reason after already accepting payment. If you are seeking a place with courteous staff and timely food delivery, I highly suggest steering clear of these awful individuals."

"this was our second visit and the standard of the food has decreased considerably. we had the same as before, the smokeys platter. the ribs were hard and overlooked. the brisket dry and chicken leg bland. the black rate was the best on the plate. the plate was also smaller than before. the service was not present, we had to ask for cutlery for our eating. we were not asked how our food was or we wanted more drinks etc....the atmosphere was very quiet. we could hardly hear behindground music. "A group of seven who pre ordered ate here last night. The place had a nice atmosphere and great decor. Not particularly busy for a Friday night. The food was tasty and portions fairly generous. The presentation of the food was not great. Its is a pricey place to visit but not bad if you manage to get a deal. Staff were friendly. "As a visitor to London for the marathon, I randomly booked a table at STK, and I was not disappointed. During my visit with five friends, I had already eyed the tomahawk steak on the menu. Although it was significantly more than I would usually spend on a steak, it was worth every penny—cooked to perfection and simply melted in my mouth. "Hi. I've been with my wife to both branches many times. This time I was taking a friend. I booked for 8.15pm. Before we were seated or looked at the menu, we were told we needed to order, as the kitchen was closing. Once seated, another waiter told us we needed to order everything we wanted to consume, as the kitchen was closing imminently.
