"First and foremost, some have mentioned that locating the restaurant can be a bit challenging. I experienced the same issue, so head to St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel by walking up the slope, veer to the far right of the building's facade, pass through the arch, and then turn left along the Upper Concourse until you arrive at the Brasserie. The service was exceptional and unhurried, the setting was pristine, and each course was presented with a relaxed interval between servings. The dishes were plated beautifully, although the portion of pork belly was small and overshadowed by the charred hispi cabbage. The Searcys gin-cured salmon gravadlax was superb, but my favorite was the Rhubarb Eton Mess dessert. There was a great variety of Champagnes to choose from, which is not surprising considering Searcys renowned Champagne Bar is located just opposite the restaurant's entrance."

"Probably one of the best English breakfast the capital has to offer. The quality of ingredients, skill of the cook and the presentation are at its best here. Served in a relaxing atmosphere, even the decor of this place is fun and comfortable. Well done. OK I'm posting again on the 15/08/17 because I've just eaten possibly the best marinated chicken burger you can get. Absolutely delicious. Served up with fantastic onion rings and fries. The service here is also top notch. Be warned this place gets busy."

"I have been to Soyo several times over the years and have seen many changes in their menu. Currently, the food is excellent with a diverse menu, fresh flavors, and great service. However, the turnover rate is high, so the quality of service can vary. The yogurt and pasta dishes are very popular, and the breakfast options are delicious."

"I was here on a Saturday evening around 8 o'clock. Perhaps not the best time to review a cafe/brasserie, however, it wasn't busy so there really wasn't any excuse to my mind as to the poor quality of the food. I had the cod filet, which as it turns out, wasn't a filet at all. My partner-in-crime had the lamb which I think was sufficiently satisfying. He didn't comment on the quality, so I'm guessing that it wasn't exceptional. My dish however was absolutely horrendous. To start the fish was floating in a layer of olive oil, something that I just don't find appealing. If the oil comes halfway up the fish, I'm not a happy camper. Then, the filet was not a filet. It was a full fish, with massive amounts of bones. I didn't expect bones, and they were everywhere. In the first bite, and I take small bites, I had three bones big enough that I had to remove them. To give some credit where credit is due, since I didn't eat the fish, just the grilled-to-mush vegetables that it came with (also schlumping around in oil) we didn't have to pay for the fish. But the waitress made such a big deal out of it that it was incredibly awkward. All-in-all? Poor service, poor food, and screaming babies on a Saturday. Lovely, enjoy."

"We arrived five minutes after their 9am opening time and were greeted with the comment ‘sorry, we don’t have any milk at the moment’. We agreed that we would,have coffee without milk as we were in s bit of a hurry. The breakfast was mediocre, brittle toast clearly from yesterday’s bread, one half rasher of bacon £1.50 as an extra with scrambled egg, eggs benedict with bright yellow glutinous hollandaise sauce and grey ham…They were clearly having a bad day, and so were we. Having been to this Cafs Rouge the day it opened, this was a huge let down."

"Only a 15 minute drive from my house now l know where to go for outstanding food. Both myself and my wife were astounded with how delicious the food was. It was nice to have time between courses where we didn't feel rushed unlike some other restaurants that we've been to. We will be bringing family and friends there to dine whenever possible."

My man and I visited at different meal times and I opted for coffee and a snack while he enjoyed the hearty boeuf bourguignon, which was filled with tender meat and fresh beans. While there may be better boeuf bourguignon in higher-end restaurants, the price and ambiance at Café Rouge on Low Petergate cannot be beaten. Despite being part of a chain, this location has a unique charm that is easy to forget. Additionally, there is a charming and cozy dining room in the back. "We've been big fans of Cafe Rouge, Bath since it opened, and have always appreciated its lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Obviously it's not haute, haute cuisine but good, French style food without too many frills. Today we booked a table for two, as our kids had given us a voucher at Christmas and we thought a Saturday night treat was in order. We expected the place to be busy, but it wasn't; and we noticed customers being turned away even though it was early (before 8.00pm) apparently because of staff shortages. The staff were pleasant (as usual) but service was not particularly prompt. My partner's food was good quality (prawns for starters with moule for mains) but my French onion soup probably spent the day in a pot, and my sirloin steak (rare) was overly gristly, so I had to leave a sizeable amount. It almost feels disloyal to say this but we will think twice about returning. I hope the staffing shortages improve, and we return to the Cafe Rouge, Bath we once enjoyed."

"Well what can I say, there were only two other couples total 4 people) in the café, both had been served a little while ago as they had finished their meals. Were were told when we came in find a table as we will be doing table service today. I scanned in NHS app, did the hand gel bit told to find a table. So far so good, sat down at table and waited and waited, and waited, one staff member fussing in the serving area, the waitress who showed us in eventually disappeared out the back we think to talk to her friend. We waited, and waited etc. etc. etc we even tried to get the attention of the waitress still fussing in the serving area really not doing much at all, and even she went out the back, we waited for a further period, even the other two couples kept looking, so after some time we simply walked out and went to a café that wanted our custom. We would not have minded if they were busy, but they were not. Absolute disgusting service (well if we had any). At a time where restaurants etc need the custom this Waterfront café obviously does not. We go to Portsmouth a lot, needless to say we will not be using the Waterfront Café ever again, we will also tell our family and friends to avoid."

"dear diary, this time our trip to england was a mix of work and vacation. at many days we had to hurry for meeting in various cities and had to get the trains and because we are so punctual (not), we had hardly any time to eat before we arrived in the train. that is when we arrived at the railway station leon over leon and then realized that they have a chain of restaurants throughout the city. her motto is a healthy almost food and they live totally on it. for the breakfast menu, their bacon egg rolls are the most delicious! and for their daily menu they have a whole series of salads and hot crates. we had the chargrilled chicken chilli hot box, Moroccan meatballs hotbox and the chicken and chorizo club hotbox- all these were super delish! So if they are the next time on the go, they know where they are going!"

"After receiving confirmation from OpenTable with the code 822102241, my wife and I arrived at the restaurant last night at 7:20. Despite our reservation, we were told we did not have a booking. After refusing to sit at a coffee table in the lounge, the manager was able to find us a table in the restaurant and offered us a complimentary drink to salvage the situation. However, our troubles did not end there. When we ordered the beef, we were not asked how we wanted it cooked and had to send it back because it was too rare. Our dessert took 30 minutes to arrive, prompting us to ask the staff if there was an issue. Finally, my wife had to ask for a glass of wine 15 minutes after initially requesting it. Despite some minor issues, we were still charged an additional 10% for the lackluster service. We have been patrons of this restaurant for over 20 years, both as a couple and in larger groups. However, after last night's experience, we are unlikely to return. In recent years, there have been new establishments in the area that offer comparable or even superior service. Last night's service at the restaurant was truly disappointing for what should have been a special occasion."

"A group of 5 of us had early dinner prior to attending the boxing at the Millennium Stadium. The staff are always very friendly and efficient and we were seated immediately as we had booked in advance. The only concern was that my fillet steak was not as requested, it was medium to well done instead of medium rare. This was rectified but the others had finished eating their main course by the time mine arrived. My steak was perfectly cooked and everything else was freshly served too. The manager came to say that there would be no charge for the steak and also we were given a free bottle of the excellent Rioja Crianza. I was very impressed by the no quibble promptness which left a very good impression on us all. Thank you."

"many thanks for a nice lunch, glad that we came to a quieter time. nice to practice something French while enjoying the delicious food. a word on the wise, parking around the hotel is demanding on street parking (ringgo app). we park at the station, which costs £12.70! because it is limited to day parking only! the parking lot costs almost as much as a 3-course lunch menu! (not the fault of the hotel, but very annoying). I would recommend not explore other parts of the hotel, well to know whether it is a kind dach terrace or terrace."

"just an occasional Saturday evening out, but we were made warmly welcome. Service was excellent and the food tasty and as described. We really enjoyed our cocktails and did not feel rushed as the food came at reasonable intervals. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant. "We've been going to the Cafe Rouge for years and were thrilled that we were early enough for breakfast. We're going in front of a football match, when the bacon was completely cold, we had no time to return it and reheat it. On the other hand, the mushroom cooked hot. The waitress was forgotten and we had to remind her at least half a dozen times about forgotten requests. Eg we wanted brown sauce, in the end I got up and collected it, or our breakfast would have been colder. Large employees change over the last few weeks and they are all a bit under-trained and not as efficient as before."

"A very bad experience. The starter on the mixed menu wasn't avalible which I can understand but should have been seen as for warning. I got a mocktini as usually they are quite nice at other places however at this restaurant they were almost completely soda. My steak was not edable. I swallowed one bite with difficulty and had to spit out the other two attempts into a napkin. I did not attempt the others. The chips were quite obviously frozen and very much like the ones from a supermarket. When my plate was taken no comment and question was made at the rather dismal state of my plate. I will say this, the mango sorbet was delicious. It was only during my desert I was able to comment on the steak frites and while I was given a small discount on that I plate, I felt that either the whole price of the dishl should have been comped or a new one should have been offered. At this point I was rather done with the restaurant and wanted to leave only to see the service charge of 3.90 and an additional charge of tap water (that I hadn't even asked for). Definatley would not reccomend as while the staff themselves were nice enough, the food was truly terrible."

"I had an amazing experience with the customer service at this restaurant! There was a mix-up with my burger order, but the staff quickly sorted it out and brought me the correct one. The manager even came over to apologize and let me know it would just take a few minutes. Our waitress was also fantastic. The burger itself was delicious, and with my UNiDAYS 50% discount, the manager took an additional £5 off. I've never encountered such excellent customer service in England (I'm an American student studying here), and I was truly impressed. Thank you, Cafe Rouge!"
