"I go to a lot of events where I get to eat delicious food and drink amazing drinks, but what I particularly love doing is meeting the people behind these brands. A couple of weeks ago I headed to Village East on Bermondsey Street for a private dinner with the family who own and run Venezuelan rum brand, Ron Diplomatico. The evening started with one of the best cocktails I've had in a while. I don't know if it was that I wasn't expecting to actually like it as I'm not a fan of sweet cocktails (which I thought it would be), or that it was so unlike anything I've tried, but the almond daiquiri, made with Diplomatico Blanco rum, Orgeat (almond) syrup, fresh lime and Bob's Abbott's bitters...read more"

"Breakfast/brunch is a beautiful thing. It's the time of day when everything starts anew but most importantly, that daily calorie count. For another day, you get to allocate those precious 2,000/2,500 cals as you see fit without guilt according to some scientist much smarter than I. But today, I got a bit too excited...probably 2,000 cals too excited...but a Jackson and Rye brunch will do that to ya. Bringing a touch of classic New York to the heart of Soho, its Big Apple inspiration extends from the bristro decor to its beautiful brunch menu which is as expansive as the Atlantic covering classics from eggs through to fried chicken and touching everything in between. Today, we came...read more"

"The food at this restaurant was fantastic and many of the dishes tasted authentic. It is definitely superior to many similar restaurants in the West End. The charcoal fire adds a nice touch."

"As a French living in Ireland for 10y, I always avoid the French restaurants which are often overpriced and so not French at the end of the day. But I enjoyed my lunch there today ! It felt rather authentic all in all, reasonably priced and with a fair variety of choice. My only critic is that it was a bit hard to digest for a crêpe, as in, a bit too fat to my taste all in all. That said, I liked that we stayed about 4h in the restaurant and weren't pressured by staff at all staff was very kind and helpful."

"Absolutely delighted to share my experience at this remarkable Italian restaurant. Over the past decade, it has consistently been my go-to for authentic and mouthwatering Italian cuisine. The commitment to tradition is evident in every dish, showcasing a mastery of culinary expertise. The fresh fish, a personal favorite, never fails to impress with its quality and flavor. Impeccable service and a warm ambiance add to the overall exceptional dining experience. Here's to another decade of savoring the exquisite tastes crafted by the talented team at this culinary gem."

"We were at The Ned celebrating my sons 21st birthday. He wanted to go to the brunch buffet but unfortunately it was fully booked despite trying to make a reservation weeks in advance, so, we booked the American diner instead as my son really wanted to go The Ned so I thought this would be a good compromise. Underwhelming it was. A very limited unimaginative menu and very little atmosphere. At 2pm Sunday most of the tables were empty (all in the brunch I guess) . The food was very mediocre, no better than any other burger/rib restaurant I've been to, and despite me advising in advance we were there for a special occasion nobody made an effort to make my son feel special on his birthday other than the onligatory brownie with a candle brought to the table at the end of the meal... but brought to us while he wasn't even sitting there as he'd poppedto the bathroom!! Overall very disappointing and especially more so because despite it being quiet so really no excuses, nobody went out of their way to make our experience memorable in any way. Disappointing to say the least Ned."

"You get to choose your options, we had: Fried Rice Chicken Satay Skewers Vegan Prawn Toast Fave Dish Salt and Pepper Chips Sweet Sour chicken Curry sauce Everything was so so good, but the prawn toast won me over! The sweet sour sauce was out of this world as for the salt and pepper chips tht tasted like they were double fried but not sure . I have seen the puti vegan cafe come up on google searches before in glasgow, I have no idea why I didn’t go before now. Cannot recommend enough!! Updated from previous review on 2022 02 26"

"Must. Go. Back. Not a terribly clever acronym on my part but our first visit was sensational. It kicked off with the perfect sharpener: a Classic **** Mary rated 7 on the SALT Scoville heat scale. Then followed an outstanding Butcher's Breakfast which comprised dry-cured back bacon, Salt signature sausage, Fruit Pig black pudding and haggis, mushroom fricassée, two free-range eggs and house-made sriracha baked beans. Be sure to order sourdough toast fried in beef fat rendered on the premises with Salt's own superb tomato, fennel and chilli butter. A glass of raw, cold-pressed orange juice rounded off our perfect start to the day. If you're heading to Edinburgh later this month for the Festival and Fringe put SALT on your to do list alongside Frank Skinner at Assembly George Square and Megan Stalter at Gilded Balloon."

"I recently had a lovely anniversary dinner at Cafe Spice Namaste and subsequently found out on their Instagram that they were hosting watercolour paint and dine sessions in tandem with the Petals Studio shortly after. I therefore came back within a week to dine with them a second time. The food is incredible, the service very friendly, and the view of the dock and passing airplanes very beautiful. Highly recommend."

"Food and service was fantastic! We went there randomly just to have some breakfast, didn’t expect it to be soooo good Burgers were huge, full of fresh ingredients, just delicious, pancakes were light to eat and full of flavour and with plenty of nutella. We also ordered watermelon and strawberry smoothie and honestly that’s all I want to drink now, it was so light and enjoyable "

"First night in London, and we were looking for a basic bite and a basic drink. Something local , you know. Turns out we found a spot That 's not basic at all. We checked in to our hotel a bit late in the evening, and asked the guy working the front where was good for a bite and a drink. He said most places were closed or closing soon. I mentioned that I saw Salt on yelp nearby with food. It 's close but it has, sorta different food. And it has, night people, if you know what I mean , is what he responded with. Well that was intriguing so we had to go. We arrived and realized what he meant. The place was packed with Middle Eastern people, most outside enjoying the night air and smoking from Hookah pipes. it was a popping place, but definitely not a British crowd of guys pouring back pints. we sat inside and we were hungry. I got a lamp curry wrap and my gal got a wrap too. OK not the most original thing on the menu but we got the potato cakes too. Everything was great. The wraps were really, really good and hit the spot. The had some good wines and scotches as well, which really added to the night. The quirky ambiance was a welcome surprise. it was so foreign to us, but was designed to be entertaining. I don 't know when we will be back to London, but we really do hope t make it back to surprisingly great spot."

"The dining experience was enjoyable and the food was delicious. I ordered a dessert plate with melted chocolate drizzled on it, with a candle underneath and a variety of fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. There were also two types of brownies included. The food was very tasty. However, the menu has since changed and this particular plate is no longer offered. The staff are typically friendly, although there have been instances where they seemed a bit aloof."

"I always pop in to this place at least once a week to order my favourite milk tea. I do not like hot tea but their cold tea is heavenly! I tried other milk tea places in the area and they didn’t stand a chance with the taste of the beverage offered at Chatime. The only down side is, the tap in the female toilet is out of order and it has been for weeks already. Please have that sorted out asap! Considering you sell tea, expect your costumers needing to use the loo every now and then but it would be very unhygienic if customers are unable to wash their hands."

"The restaurant was lovely with a good atmosphere, and it was not too crowded on a Saturday night. They had a beautiful selection of dishes. The only downside was that they could have been more generous with their portion of kimchi, but at the end of the day, it's just pickled cauliflower. The service was great as well, with the waitress standing next to our table to cut and serve the meat for us. They do charge a 12.5% service fee, but the staff worked hard. The prices for alcohol were a bit high, but come on, they're not in Fulham or Chelsea. The food seemed authentic, as the restaurant was run by a Korean lady. Overall, it was a nice dining experience and I recommend giving them a try."

"This place offers a very extensive menu in very pleasant surroundings. The service is also good, so the whole experience was delightful. My son ate the Aromatic Crispy Duck as a main course which he said was just perfect. It is served with a box of pancakes and vegetables and you may wrap all the ingredients into a pancake if you wish. I tried Lemon Chicken which was also very good and recommended. We ordered Egg Fried Rice on the side, which is served with garlic, spring onions and egg. It was really delicious. The bill was about $45, which I thought was pretty good, considering the vast amount of food we were served."

"Friendly popular little Italian on Ecclesall Road South. Fairly standard menu, though a bit light on vegetarian options, but the dishes we had last night were excellent tender tasty grilled artichokes on flatbread as a starter, a substantial plate of sea bass and accompanying roast potatoes and veg, and an equally generous sized dish of homemade cannelloni, plus a rocket and Parmesan salad. Service was really quick and warm despite the busy evening, and the place has a friendly atmosphere: perhaps just a bit noisy lots of hard surfaces! till it quietened down a bit after 8.30. It’s worth noting that despite the big BYOB sign outside £2 corkage per bottle La Luna does have a decent short wine list. A nice place, and one to add to your list."

"By far one of the best food halls in the country!!! If not the best in the country. A huge huge selection of all far east Asian restaurants including Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian, Vietnamese etc. Portions are massive! I did warn you! Prices are not that cheap but this is reflected in portion size. Fore example sweet and sour chicken is approx 12.9 but the taste is the real winner! The food does not taste like any other local takeaway. The concept is amazing and is my go to for Asian food!"
