Fluffy and golden, a classic breakfast favorite served with syrup and a side of butter for a sweet and satisfying morning treat.

"incredible! some people might say that this place is a nice, cozy, rustic italian, but not in our experience or opinion. first we had to wait 10 minutes to sit on a busy Saturday night, but our table sat empty and clean for these 10 minutes and we were waiting to keep our bottle wein. we ordered calamari for a starter, but was told 10 minutes later that they were out of this, also on a busy Saturday night (the waitress said that this was not her fault, whose restaurant it is the female waitress recommended an apfan cake that tasted over terrible. our main courses came 30 minutes after a couple who came to us in ten minutes. we asked the waitress after a fork...read more"

"Don’t listen to these neggi reviews. I’ve been going to chatime since it opened and it’s by far the best most authentic bubble tea place in Southampton. It’s the OG for bubble tea in Soton. 10/10 would reccomend the honey dew milk with popping lyche bubbles!"

"Stopped in for brunch on a Thursday early noon after a quick scout on TripAdvisor for places to eat on Morningside Road. A bustling cafe with stripped back wooden tables contrasting against rather elaborate metal light fittings and a mismatch of metal or simple cotton fabric covered chairs, we were luckily shown to the last available table in the back room. The cafe appears small from the outside but is actually deceptively big. Music was easygoing chill out which added to the relaxed atmosphere. Smiling waitresses helped also. We ordered coffees and eggs royale and our waitress promptly brought a jug of water over. Coffees came soon after and we were pleased that they were good...read more"

"Once up the stairs, you are greeted by a well appointed restaurant with great views of the Abbey which looked especially good lit up at night. There is a separate vegan menu and you are struck immediately by the reasonable prices. The onion Bhaji to start was superb. Rather than the usual ball, they came in strips which meant they were really crispy and avoided the chickpea flour goo you sometimes get in Bhajis. The accompanying chutney was also delicious. The menu said there was kale in the bhajis and although there were flecks of green, I’m not sure it added a huge amount but that is a minor issue when the dish is so delicious. The bhel puri was a very large portion and although I enjoyed it, it could have done with some peanuts, potato and onion as is usually in the bhel puri I have had in the past. A bit more tamarind sauce would also have lifted the dish. These small issues were forgotten once the outstanding mains were tasted. The masala dosa was perfect; Crisp pancake, soft, well spiced potato interior and tasty chutney and curry sauce. The baby aubergine curry was fantastic, a subtle but rich sauce that complimented the creamy aubergine. The paratha was flakey and perfect for mopping up the outstanding sauce. An excellent meal."

"Very excited to see a sign for vegan options! There were no charges, but enough and more than other places in the area. I don't know if they were underused or just weren't used to it. The service was slow and everyone seemed to run around. Everybody was nice. I was very happy that I could have a hot chocolate (first and only the holiday) request for almond milk to make it vegan! I had a cheese and cranberry pannini that was delicious and ordered a chocolate cheese cake for dessert. When it came to serve us the cheesecake, they had forgotten to take it out, and so it was frozen and we didn't have to (only other option was vanilla cheesecake, which I wasn't a fan of so I was disappointed) was a running theme that whitby vegan dessert game is not great!"

"I absolutely adore the Bombay Chilli Mock Chicken made spicy, it’s INCREDIBLE. The popcorn cauliflower is also very delicious with incredible and intense flavor coming from the dip. I always order these two items. On this occasion I also ordered the spicy fried vegetables, but I honestly felt these were very similar in flavor to the chili mock chicken. It was really hard to discern the difference between the two. Moreover, I couldn’t tell where the vegetables were because it seemed like more of a mock meat dish. Finally, during this visit we ordered the Momo and we hated it. So, I would not recommend ordering that. In general the food is usually delicious here. Be sure to ask for the separate vegan menu. "Nowhere Man serves amazing pancakes and has a really cool, retro vibe. As well as having a vegan-specific section of their menu, most of their regular pancakes can be made vegan. The cafe is pretty small and fills up fast, so you may struggle to find a seat at busy times! Updated from previous review on 2024-06-08"

"Amazing food and excellent service from friendly and helpful staff. This is our go-to restaurant for special occasions due to the high quality of ingredients, skilled cooking, and beautiful presentation. The dim sum and soft shell crab starter were fantastic, and the Peking duck, which must be pre-ordered, was fresh and expertly sliced at our table. The turbot, fillet steak, and prawn main courses were all outstanding. This restaurant is definitely deserving of a visit from a Michelin inspector. Aya Court stands out as the top oriental and Chinese restaurant within a 20-mile radius of Ascot."

"When I first ate at the vegetarian Rasa years ago, and then at the fish Rasa more recently, they were revelations... a South Indian cuisine that did interesting things with unfamiliar ingredients. This Rasa, on the other hand, is not especially regional or especially original. Where are the vegetables: the okra, the aubergine, the greens? Why do we have boneless white meat chicken (ie the dry, tasteless part), tough lamb, and so on (though the fish wasn't bad). And why can't they offer a decent selection of lagers?"

"My experience last night started off with a friendly greeting from a waiter who sat us both down at a spacious table of 4. For starters, I'm super pleased with the portions and quality of the food. Our main was chicken shish which was so delicious. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long to get served. Towards the end of our night the waiters gave us complimentary Baklava on the house which was a lovely surpise, so kind of them . Will definitely go back there, they really looked after us and treated us incredibly well. I did not feel rushed at all to leave, it was very welcoming. Defo recommende"

"A restaurant that I kept passing by and feeling awfully guilty for not trying as I live very close to it. Decided to try this place of us) we had no idea what to have so asked the Lady who served us. She was honest and very helpful. Advised us to only try the Veggie Combo Special the Combo Special (meat). We were a little shocked that that's all she advised us and said it was enough. We had to wait a while for the food to get to us. When it did it really blew us away! The taste, the mixture if veggies used, meat beautifully prepared and a taste that was unforgettable. We later decided to find out further and learnt that the waitress was actually the owner, a lovely lady named Zighe...read more"

"Excellent find. First time we have been here and will definitely be going back. From the moment we arrived the staff made us very welcome. The service was fantastic and the food was as good as we have had anywhere. Definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys excellent food with great service and atmosphere."

"I'd had Ethiopean before and this seemed similar (no doubt it's very different.. . There's a veggie section on the menu, but it can all be made vegan apart from the one with cottage cheese in it. I shared a large vegan dish (see pic with a number of different things on it. It's all served on injera (a sourdough-risen flatbread with a spongy texture . It's much more filling that it looks. And really tasty. It was a bit more expensive than a lot of vegan places (at £25 for the injera thing for two , but inside it's bordering on being upmarket (a nice African theme so worth the money. I liked it."

"I've visited several Bill's before including this one and I've always been delighted. I didn't think a strawberry in my G&T (as advertised on the drinks menu) and a hot meal were beyond them but they had run out of strawberries (this was 6:30pm on...a Friday and there's a Tesco literally 4 doors down) and our cassoulet was stone cold. We had taken a friend there and had been crowing about how good it was, so it was very disappointing. However they didn't charge us for our main meals so that was, some consolation and I would go back, though warily."

"While staying in Shoreditch for several days, I ended up coming here 3 different times. My wife and I loved this place the people are extremely friendly and the service is good, and the food and coffee excellent! Initially I walked by and noticed their hug collection of cannoli and other pastries and I waved at them and said I'd return. We came back the next day for lunch (and they remembered us found it funny! . I tried their coffee (Americano, which was good! and we had a couple of wraps a Mediterranean one and a Piri Piri Chicken one both were excellent with fresh veggies on it and grilled nicely. We took cannolis to go (we just had them choose their favorites ... all of them were awesome. I stopped in the next day to grab some pastries and a cappuccino to take back to the hotel excellent! We came back the next day for breakfast. My wife had eggs on toast with a mound of fresh beautiful avocado. I had the full breakfast with sausages, bacon, beans, toast, eggs, tomato, and so on... and more coffee. Again, everything was great! This cafe has awesome baked goods and coffee offerings as well as nice sandwiches (check out their breakfast sandwiches! , but best of all is how kind and nice they are. Well wroth coming here again and again."

"I have been driving past this Shop for over 25 years except once I went in about 10 years ago and wasn't impressed then, but stopped bye yesterday and what a transformation, the food in the Cafe is absolutely top notch, the Garden Centre is ready to offer the best of Plants and Accessories the will suit any Garden. They also do B B and the accommodation is excellent. Good luck to the new owner Paul and Co. Well worth a visit. We'll be back."

"I reserved the function room for a party of about 25 people. The space was perfect, beautifully arranged with its own private bar, and we were able to decorate and play our own music through the sound system. The staff were fantastic, the drink prices were very reasonable, and everyone had a fantastic time. However, there were a few issues that I want to mention for anyone else planning to book. With better communication before the event, I believe these could have been easily resolved. The venue was very helpful and responsive during the booking process, but after I confirmed my reservation, I had trouble getting responses to my emails or phone calls until the day of the event. This led to them not being able to coordinate dinner orders as I had requested. There were not enough menus for the whole party, so wait staff handed them out sporadically, leading to a very staggered food service. Some guests waited hours for their meals, which was embarrassing as the host. Additionally, the rounds of drinks that I had pre-ordered to be served as a surprise throughout the evening were announced near the beginning of the event due to an internal miscommunication. We also had to vacate the room for a downstairs booth at midnight instead of the requested 2am, which should have been clarified in advance. Despite these issues, it was still a great night with wonderful memories. I would consider booking again, but would recommend eating beforehand next time."

"The restaurant experience was overall positive, with the exception of our 4-year-old grandson who requested pancakes but then rejected them because they weren't like his papa's pancakes. He also attempted to snatch his 2-year-old brother's sausages. Despite this, the meals for the adults were freshly cooked, tasty, and served hot."

"when a few years ago and thought it was worth visiting again as a family came to visit. while eating was nice, we waited 1 hour for starter (kind meze for a table of two) and another hour for main courses and got them only after we said we wanted to go. Unfortunately we were not the only ones waiting for there were 21 diners in and almost no eating out of the kitchen! no apologise and no discount offered in the did they added a service fee to the bill!"
