"After visiting a special exhibition at the British Museum, we had lunch at this restaurant. We began with the crab and venison starters and shared a perfectly cooked medium rare beef dish. The atmosphere was fantastic, as always, and the service was impeccable. For dessert, we enjoyed the almond panna cotta. The wine list was extensive, with excellent wines available at reasonable prices."

"I had some time to spare in the area so decided to bring some friends for a drink and a small snack here. The Waitress on duty seemed to be grossly overworked and had little clue what to do. It took a long time for her to come and take an order, we had to ask several times. It then took even longer for some of the drinks to arrive, one of the Drinks was missing, the Waitress did not say a word and walked away. Only after several further reminders did she bring the remaining drink. We then had to ask several times about the food, which she eventually did bring. As I did not have the time nor the patience to wait for her to bring the bill, I went to the Bar and paid somebody else behind the Bar counter. I then went to retrieve the car key from the Concierge, not entirely sure what happened, but the person there muttered something along the line that the usual Concierge was not there and that he did not know exactly what to do. He then could not give me any change and also no receipt of the money paid for the car parking, when asked for a receipt he said that the usual Concierge would normally deal with this and that he could not issue a receipt. Altogether a very disappointing experience, and quite embarrassing in front of my guests. I certainly won't bring any of my guests there again so soon."

"dear, dear bar soho! the manager, bouncer and barkeeper are the nicest I have ever met in the west end and they are always friendly and friendly to me when they see me what one of the reasons is, this is my favorite bars. as a female solo traveler I always felt very comfortable and safe. bj the bouncer is one of the most beautiful and friendly bouncer I've ever met! the cocktails are excellent and good value for money during the happy hour. the music is fantastic, the amount is beautiful, and overall it is a wonderful atmosphere. scream for giovanni and charlie for the care and attention to detail with which they prepare the drinks. it is always a pleasure to serve by employees who are proud of their work as bartender in bar soho do. recommend them as many visit as possible to this beautiful bar."

"If you’re looking for a classy yet affordable dinner out, Scicly Da Scalzo in Victoria is the place for you! I visited Scicily Da Scalzo tonight to celebrate my 3 month anniversary with my partner. Located next to Victoria coach station, this centrally placed restaurant maintains the cozy feel of being back in Nonnas kitchen. We started our meal with tender Kallamata oliver (both green and black were provided) along side some warm soft bread. For drinks I ordered a bottle of wine, these vary in price starting from house vino at 22.50. (Of course cost of living crises, so bought the cheapest). Service was excellent, all staff were itallian (or mainland European) which made it feel so authentic and they were able to give the best recommendations to us. We used a £50 voucher on the fork which was applied to the entire bill. A great place if you are deciding where to spend some well earned Yums ️."

"I came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. It is a nice place. It was my first time trying Beef Wellington, and although the pastry was a bit overdone, the beef inside was good. The gravy was one of the best I've had. My girlfriend really enjoyed her steak as well. The only downside was the slow service and difficulty getting someone's attention. I had booked a 50% off mains deal through OpenTable, but it was not recognized when I arrived. I also felt a bit embarrassed when I asked about it, as sometimes places dispute such offers after you have already ordered. I had also tried to arrange a birthday surprise for my girlfriend with sparklers, but when I asked one of the waiters, they just told us to order dessert and we only got "happy birthday" written on her plate. Overall, the food was good, but the service could be better."

"First they had trouble finding our reservation, but they accommodated our group at the last minute on a busy Friday night and gave us a very good table. They could have been difficult, but they were welcoming and helpful instead. At first sight the prices seem reasonable and dare I say even cheap for the place! Until you realise the portions are a bit on the smaller side, still you get good value for money. It was a bit odd that you don’t get breads or anything to munch on while you wait. It was a relaxed dining experience which is pleasant, but it does mean you wait around for a bit without anything to eat. The porterhouse steak was good and our friend really enjoyed the beef wellington. The beet salad was great. The house wine wasn’t bad, spend a bit more and go for the reserve. Overall a nice dining experience. Will return."

The roast was nice except for the fact that the parsnip carrot were almost rock hard so difficult to cut. This was the same the last time I had a roast. "Was a little apprehensive on booking not a location I'd expect to find a restaurant with such good reviews but the food was sublime. Everything freshly prepared and the menu/specials gave plenty of choice. The service was excellent discreet but attentive. Barbara and Roberto really were marvellous hosts. "After 10 year absence from the restaurant due to shoddy service historically ,we booked to attend the Minnow on mothers day at 5pm. Realising they would be busy, we turned up at 10 to 5. We were told our table was occupied and the people there were paying the bill. 30 minutes later and despite requests for another table, the staff had still not freed up the table and we were forced to leave as our children were absolutely starving with no food in sight. If you allow a booking please allow adequate time so families with young children like us are treated correctly. No apology, no courtesy and definitely no return from us."

"we went to Halloween and had lunch first. the homemade cake was excellent, the child chicken was good, but quite expensive for a child at over £8. the headkeeper wore his mask only around his mouth, not around his nose. there was a lot of space around our table. we had to wait until we had to pay. a little short when I think. after our walk, which was very good, we sat outside and ordered coffee and cake, the cake was an individual muffin, that was solid, heavy and not nice to eat, I did not pay for the cake."

"Our visit was quite disappointing. My dish was billed as a "dee pizza," but it turned out to be a tasteless, chewy base topped with sweet salad, an excessive amount of hoisin sauce, and a tiny amount of duck. There was no cheese or tomato! Overall, the dish was unappetizing and not fit to eat. My wife ordered halloumi, but hers was also nearly flavorless. Our guest had a duck salad and said she was satisfied with it. For dessert, we ordered tiramisu, which was again bland. While the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and the service was excellent, I was not charged for my inedible pizza, most of which I couldn't eat. I admit I made a poor choice, but in a reputable restaurant, there shouldn't be subpar dishes on the menu; everything should be of high quality. All in all, we had a very unsatisfactory experience and don't feel inclined to return."

"During our first visit to lunch (14/2/2023) I couldn't find a mistake at the service or at lunch. The wine selection was good and the food (steak for main and smoked trout rillette for entree) was excellent so delicious and well presented. The waiting staff was also attentive. During our second visit to lunch (we would like to come back so much) I was very disappointed. I ordered the chicken with potato daphinoise (or similar). The chicken itself was good, but the main reason I ordered this item was actually for the potato accompaniment. What I received was a half of a roast potato and a plate full of mist cauliflowers. Very disappointing. This disappointment was also aggravated by the fact that none of the waiting staff were looking for how we enjoy the meal and if everything was satisfactory or not. The disappointment was even worse, as our expectations for a repetition experience of the first time we have been denounced here were very high. The main reason for my bad review is that the article I received does not match the description of the article on the menu and no waiting personnel checked with us to see if we were satisfied with the meal."

"We were kept waiting for about 15 minutes upon arrival, despite making a reservation many days prior. This was whilst others were being shown to a table promptly even as walk ins. When finally seated, the server had no idea what drinks were available. It took almost an hour for our starters to arrive and they had been to three other tables before they came to ours. All the staff seemed to have no idea where any of the food was supposed to go. Parts of our food were missing when it finally arrived. The bill eventually came with the missing items still included, and when we asked for it to be amended, it took another 15 minutes. Mercifully they didn't include the service charge. Food itself was acceptable but conversation was impossible due to the loud music. Ok as a bar but not the place to go for a meal and a conversation."
