"tonight to a dinner with a friend. large parking lot with lots of parking space. the staff was super friendly, the service was on site and the food was carried, only wow! the black pudding star was exceptionally good. I had the rind chimichanga for my head, I have thrown out the fries for homemade chips and I am so glad that I were them beautiful! the part was huge, I couldn't finish it. was looking forward to sticky toffee pudding for dessert, but there was no possibility that I could fit one! 100% recommend and I will definitely be back for this sticky toffee pudding!"

"Been 33 Years since I have been in this pub. Worked there full time in my younger years when John Bond was the landlord. Its changed a lot since i was there. I have taken 1 star off due to the quality of the meat, Home made roast they said and everything was great apart from the meat being sliced meat and when your paying over the odds £16.99) for a roast dinner you would expect real meat. £5.40 for a Pint : as well. Staff very friendly. They need to address a few things as it could be a booming pub for meals."

"determined to try after that many good reviews and we were not disappointed. the staff was beautiful and very friendly and apologised for the time we had to wait when it was very busy. we certainly did not notice when we hate to be hastened when we go for a meal and it was obvious that everything was freshly cooked. my partner and I had both to start the homemade laekkartoffel soup that came with warm brot then my other half had the piri piri piri huhn kebab and I had the rib eye steak that was amazing. also the offer of drinks was good. we didn't have space for dessert, although next time I have to try the starter to try the sticky toffee pudding! we will definitely come back."

"Visited this place on 9th July as we had just arrived on Skye. Ordered Spare ribs in BBQ sauce, Beef in Black Bean Sauce, Special Curry , fried rice boiled rice came to £34.50. The spare ribs were quite nice with plenty of sauce, the Beef in black bean was just ok but not much sauce and the special curry was lacking meat etc there was lots of onions and not much sauce either. On the whole, the meal was over priced for what we had and didn’t have a lot of taste however, we ate it but wouldn’t go back even though it is the only Chinese in Portree."

"My husband and I had an excellent lunch at Sumo . Service was calm and very efficient. We had the very reasonable lunch menu . Both starters were brilliant. Paul had crispy tofu in a tasty sauce and I had crispy chicken wings. They were accompanied by a fresh salad . Paul had chicken ramen which came in a huge bowl and was filled with noodles , veg and sliced chicken . He was asked how he would like the base stock chilli , garlic or plain . He was also able to say how hot he would like the chilli when he chose that option . It was delicious. I had salt and spicy chicken with plain rice . Perfect . Light morsels of moist chicken , sweet onions, peppers and rice done to perfection. We had jasmine tea to accompany and this went well . We saw beautiful sushi dishes going out that were works of art . We have eaten here loads of times and never had anything less than delicious."

"We are down in Troon for our anniversary. Love Scott’s in Queensferry so really look long forward to tonight ! NEVER BE BACK. Service was appalling ! Ordered food food came …. No check back no ask why the plates we ordered were not eaten plates picked up move on !!! We love Scott’s !!! But the one in Troon really lets the Brand down I told a member of staff near the end of the visit get response was ‘the staff here are drafted in from another restaurant’ After paying the bill … I asked the same girl if she has any feedback for me … she just looked and said “they said they were sorry to me” Oh…. Not going to pass that onto the customer then ??? Disgusted !!!"

It is a great spot in Donaghadee and well worth a visit. You could have a great night out here as there is a wide variety of drinks too. Parking: There is a carpark where you can park your car. Price per person: £10–20"

"First thing to mention is that this restaurant is in a very narrow residential street and there is absolutely no parking. How on earth this restaurant was given planning permission to operate I have no idea and it must drive local residents mad. We, a party of 4, arrived at 7.10pm for 7.30pm reservation . We were told we could not be seated as a larger party had to be seated first however when we were shown to our table it was a table that had been free and set when we arrived and we could have sat down. I mention this only because we were offered a drink at the bar however the bar is tiny and has no seating. My advice to other diners don 't arrive early! It was pouring with rain outside, noone offers to take your coats so these had to be put over the back of the chairs we were seating on. Our orders were taken. Two of us ordered lamb. Appreciating that lamb is often served 'pink ' my friend prefers her meat cooked through. We told the server our preference to be told that the chef will not cook it anymore than he sees fit as it 's a 'signature dish '. The starters of soup, goats cheese and mushrooms were fine. Our lamb arrived. The ends were pink however in the main it was raw. The steak was cooked as ordered(not a signature dish? and pie was acceptable. Two desserts were ordered and were acceptable. Coffee on offer was limited just black filter coffee (coffee machine broken . For 4 people bill was £200. We felt rushed throughout. Not sure what this place is trying to be. When we were leaving there were 4 elderly gents drinking pints of beer sitting at a table?? Customers ranged from smartly dressed to baseball caps and jogging pants. Food was good if you can eat raw lamb. It feels like 'Emperor 's new clothes ' syndrome is at play here. We will not return and would not recommend. Parking: There is no parking at all. The narrow street is full of residents vehicles. You just have to drive around to find a space in nearby side streets."

Boars Head Hoghton

"We'd been to the Boars Head once before for a light lunch, which had been fine, but this time we brought the family for a proper Sunday lunch. The restaurant and bar were very busy, but we were given a friendly welcome and service throughout was unflustered, unobtrusive, prompt and excellent. Altogether, we had three different starters, six different adult main courses and five different desserts and every item on every plate was superb well cooked, well presented and delicious. This is definitely our new favourite restaurant and I can't wait to go back."

"Me and my girlfriend went here for a NYE meal, as I always wanted to come to this charming little pub in croft as it looked so sad when it was locked up during lockdown. We finally had the chance to try it when I...booked a table for two of us. All I can say is that following a course meal, the food was nearly the best meal out we have had all year during The venue was nice and cosey, with friendly staff, and it wasn't too noisy considering it was NYE at until when we left. The beer was very good too. We will be back!"

"Have been here a few times now and the food is incredible, I cannot fault it at all. The service however was disappointing we booked a table for 6 and one person was ill and could not attend. So we got moved from our 6 table onto a 4 table with someone added on the end of the table we were squashed in and asked if we could have the original table. We were told the table was already booked out to someone else (even though that was our original table) the whole two hours we were there the table of 6 was unoccupied so do not understand why we had to be crammed in with not much elbow room and plates on top of each other. Really disappointing especially after being lied to about the table being booked and remained unoccupied the whole time."

"While we have visited Venezia for years as a favorite for Italian food, we have recently said that it was the best secret in New Orleans for a great steak especially on Wednesday night. We tried and were impressed. The restaurant had an updated facility that was comfortable and family-friendly. The steaks were excellent, just as cooked as we demanded and served sizzling on the plate. We ordered a Caesar salad that was enough to share with all four of us, and the steak came with elections from sides that were all excellent. An item that was surprising was the absence of a baked potato, but we didn't miss it. So the verdict was indeed a welcome surprise, excellent steak in a New Orleans restaurant that is not known for the steak... that is until locals like I share this experience with family, friends and visitors. Look at Venezia, new friends looking for a steak are on the way."

"This was definitely the highlight of our trip to Tobermory. The food was fantastic (we had four servings of mussels and a ham sandwich), and the service was warm and friendly. The prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere felt very welcoming. If you're in Tobermory, this place is a must-visit. As for kid-friendliness, my children are teenagers, so it wasn’t something we needed to consider, but I did notice that the bathroom had excellent baby changing facilities. We enjoyed a lovely lunch here."

"I came to the Fishpool house on Saturday with some friends and sat on the bar before we sat on our table. eating was nice and the service was amazing. but there was only one girl behind the bar with short white. hair, that was really rude and made what would have been an otherwise perfect experience. during our time in the bar we heard them complaining, they talk to other workers and saw them roll their eyes and pull faces at several places. this behavior was unprofessional and as I say, they let off what else would have been an absolutely wonderful eating with friends. the food tasted amazing and came out very quickly."

"Ordered classic bruschetta and dough sticks for starter, bruschetta came without any balsamic reduction on top, when asked, they said they had run out, but never mentioned it whilst placing the order. The dough sticks were cooked nice however the accompanying dips of ‘garlic butter’ turned out to be garlic margarine and the ‘tomato pizza sauce’ turned out to be literal ketchup, which ruined the entire starter. When this was brought up to a member of staff, the manager was notified however the items were not knocked off the final bill, the main course was lovely, no complaints apart from maybe too much sauce with the pasta dish, but that is being picky. Whilst the main was lovely, the lack of an attempt to rectify the starter problem left us with a bad taste in our mouth and I’m not sure we will visit again"

"This is not, in fact, a tea house, but a Chinese food restaurant! They have a sizable GF menu and offer delivery, pickup, and dine in options. Edit: I’ve ordered delivery twice now and haven’t gotten glutened. They have a cross-contamination statement on their website, which I suspect is just for legal reasons, but I was able to specify that I have coeliac and request separate packaging and allergy prep to reduce cc as much as possible and they were very accommodating. My takeout containers were even specifically marked as gf."

"After attending ABBA Mania at Venue Cymru, we decided to book a table at this restaurant. They kindly stayed open for us, and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, and the food was the best we have had in a Chinese restaurant. It was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The prices were very affordable compared to our usual dining spots. Our meal, including 2 starters, 2 mains, fried rice, and a bottle of wine, cost only £61. We highly recommend giving this place a try! We give it 5 stars for the service and quality."

"Food excellent. Service whilst definitely not unpleasant could have been better. When we arrived there was no one to seat us. After waiting a few moments we noticed a sign upstairs which read 'wait here to be seated ' or something to that affect. We went up stairs and waited 3-5 mins during which time a member of staff walked passed us. Upon their return they pointed us back downstairs. Again, once seated, staff member was attentive but overall service could be improved slightly."
