"My new favourite restaurant. Second is the white lion pub norwich. This place was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and patient, they gave us good advice on what to order etc. The food was incredible. We had the butterfly King prawn and squid starters followed by peeking tiger Rib eye steak superb!! Beautifully cooked medium rare in a delicious powerful savoury sauce with mushrooms and a little veg cooked to perfection. The other meal we had was seafood ie prawns mussels and squid in a sweet sauce, which was lovely but very sweet, so would accompany it with plain rice to combat the strong flavour profiles."

"We booked Pizzarellys for 16 family members on a Saturday night at 17:00 about a month before hand. There was good communication up until the night of the event, changing numbers and confirming. This gave a sense of confidence. We came a bit early and could decoarte the two tables given to us as we requested. It was my granddaughter's 18th birthday. We brought our own cake and alcohol too. The order was placed and everything arrived as ordered. No one was disappointed in the meal. I had tagitalee which was very filling and delicious. The cake arrived with candles at the right time, the restaurant sang happy birthday and lights were dimmed. Totally embarrased (but Loved it) our granddaughter felt special! It was most a pleasant event. Professionally handled. Great atmosphere. Very accomodating staff. Thank you for your service."

"We were visiting relatives in the area and needed a nice pub for lunch where we could bring both of our dogs. I googled and found this. I called at 12pm when they opened and the lady that answered was so friendly and helpful. We went in at 2pm and she sat us at a great table in the corner which gave the dogs space to lay down comfortably and not be in the way. Such a dog friendly pub with the boys getting several treats each and a dog bowl, not to mention lots of cuddles!!!! The food came and we all had different things but we ate everything. The food was absolutely delicious and great value. My partner is Irish and he confirmed that this was the best Guinness he had had in 9 years of visiting this area!!!!! Cannot find fault with anything. The staff, the food, the atmosphere, the drinks and unbelievably dog friendly. I'm sorry I didn't get the lady's name who served us but it was the tall blonde lady, who was fantastic. The roaring fire was so inviting, we had to drag ourselves away. We will most definitely be back ."

"First visit here and really impressed with the food. Chicken satay was juicy, seasoned well and came with a lovely salad and dressings. The jumbo prawn starter was sublime. Drinks service was rapid so thank you to the kind lady who bought out my 3 wines in rapid succession. My prawn main was fabby, good portion and kick of heat. Only down side was the sticky rice was way too sticky for me so we ordered a plain rice on top. One of the nicest Thai meals we’ve had"

"O Tokuda. Friendly warm nothing is to much trouble for this well run restaurant. The food is second to none and we have been to sushi bars all over the world at seriously expensive prices and I have to say not only on the price issue but the food quality out shines them all. We have always been made welcome even though we have a 6 month old baby and a 12 year old with us. The buffet gives loads of selection even if your not a sushi lover there are platters of mixed starters with ribs chicken king praws etc , and loads of meat and veggie main courses, It really is all you can eat and everything is freshly prepared and brought to the table instead of the buffets where food has been sat...read more"

"It's been a while since I've been to a pub/restaurant where I felt completely at ease inviting myself. The meal was excellent, and the menu was diverse. Everyone was very friendly—it's definitely one of the best places I've been to. I will definitely return. We had the Sunday dinner, but honestly, the menu was so good that I could have picked anything."

"Date night with the wife. I was looking for somewhere local I had never been, which did food I could eat. I'm off carbs and sugar... for my diabetes type 2. I've lived here forever but I had never had reason to come in before. So reading the menu meat it was then. Realised they had cheese pie which is a real crowd pleaser for the wife. Parked up right outside, which was good. There isn't much parking at the pub so be warned. Went in around 7 on a Friday night and it was busy. The service was...slow. I'm off beer as well as sugar, so tried the Brooklyn lager...and it was really good. If less than ideal 2g sugar 100ml. Managed to drink 2 bottles before we got our order in. Specials are blah blah blah...sorry no cheese pie... Damn it there go my brownie points. So we ordered one special starter and one off the main, and two main courses. Black pudding scotch eggs, and cod balls. Fish n Chips and Mixed Grill no chips. 5 mins later no Black pud scotch eggs...can we have the brie...5 mins later...yup no brie. Hmm We both had the cod balls. Absolutely starving when they arrived. 30 minutes after we arrived. Good job they were fabulously good. Sadly I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. Perfect crust on them, lots of fish and only a bit of potato (hmm didn't say that on the menu). A further relaxed 30 minute wait followed for our main course. My meal was fine. Not the best ever, I had opted out of the chips, and it came without much salad. Which I would normally have expected to be there. Almost looked like they had left room for it on my plate but forgot to serve it. Though to be fair that's probably where the chips would go. The fish was really great for the wife and her chips were yummy. Stole one shh don't tell the diabetes. The atmosphere was good, all the people were friendly, it was just a bit slow. All in all I will go back though perhaps pick a steak next time, and ask for some salad with it."

"My family and I returned today for our second visit to this wonderful restaurant, and we’ll definitely be back! The place is beautifully decorated with incredible attention to detail, and both the food and service are fantastic. Our waitress, who also happened to have family from Stoke, took the time to engage with our children and added a lovely personal touch to our experience. Nothing seemed to bother her, and she was incredibly accommodating. The food was outstanding, and the chocolate brownie dessert is simply to die for! I plan to return at least once more before the end of the week! The ice cream stand with its selection of amazing flavors at the front of the restaurant was also a huge hit with both the kids and the adults. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Thank you!"

"Worst Chinese we’ve had. Crispy beef inedible, tough and super dry and no flavour. Salt and pepper chicken not much better, dry and very tough to chew (and that was the chicken AND the chips! . I’d take it back if I could be bothered driving but it’s not worth my time. Won’t use again. Really disappointed, only positive is that our sons foo yung is ok."

"We went here for an anniversary because my partner recommended it, she's been here before. We got the Asiana banquet for two. I was a little bit hesitant because a) I'm not a big fan of Chinese food and b) I thought we might have been paying too much. Boy was I wrong. The food was plentiful, I'm a big guy and I was in a food coma by the end of it but satisfyingly so. Right from the start the food was rich, delicious and the variety was surprising. Duck, beef, chicken, prawns... All cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the deep fried crispy chicken with salt and pepper chips. MVP was the curry sauce, absolutely superb. Service was excellent. Fast and the server was actually hilarious. Didn't overstay his welcome or make it awkward and kept the food coming pretty efficiently. 5/5 for service. Really nice folk. My only gripe and this is a small one is that the atmosphere could do with some better lighting. Maybe some table candles or lights. That's just me though. Overall a fantastic experience and we'll be back for sure."

"This restaurant serves delicious food! I had the Bretton fish soup as a starter, which was delightful. My partner had the perfectly cooked and tasty mussels, of which I also stole a few bites. For our mains, I ordered the pan-fried chicken in a delicious morel sauce, while my partner opted for the monkfish. The flavors were amazing and we can still taste them lingering. We appreciate being able to bring our dog and feeling so relaxed. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Dunkirk is now our favorite place to eat. Thank you for a great dining experience!"

"full credit to the young who this, a totally vegan menu and excellent vegan huh as a meat substitute. best meat substitute I have tasted in every restaurant in 25 years meat free. I lived in birmingham, where there were 250 plus indians, and that is as good as anyone with regard to the taste of the sauce. also not oily. had whicken dhansak for porn that was delicious and whicken tikka for beginners. the bonus is to bring its own snaps when it lust on a drink, from license simply around the corner. would give a 5-star, but as meat options are available, the app is limited to 4 stars."

"I just wish we had checked the reviews which i normally do! before paying a silly amount of money for what was perhaps one of the worst takeaways I have ever had. The only reason it is getting 2 stars is because it filled a hole, but it certainly did not take you back to Thailand like other takeways do with their fresh bold flavours. This stuff was clearly microwaved rubbish, the website is misleading as it claims to be freshly cooked traditional Thai, but none of the 'flavours ' i have just eaten were anything close to Thai : money wasted : I like others wont be back I do wish them the best of luck though, as it does seem as though once upon a time this place was decent.."

"A surprise mid-week visit to the Beehive resulted in a delightful supper. Drinks: Sauvignon blanc with soda and ice, Lager. Supper: It was getting on for 8pm and I asked John (the host) if there was anything in the kitchen as my foodie partner and I were in need of some 'intake '. Nothing heavy and so we went for the: Salt and Pepper Spare Ribs with peppers and chips x2 WOW, they used a fine-grain salt and pepper covering that whilst adding taste, did not 'burn ' your mouth. The chips are nicely oiled with S&P alongside fried peppers. What a lovely surprise. Even a 'doggy bag ' was provided for the couple of ribs left over. My foodie partner also met some people she had not seen for a good number of years. So overall, a really good night."

"This was our first visit and after looking at the positive reviews we thought we would give it a try. We had an early evening reservation which gave access to the 'happy hour ' menu pricing mains at £8.95 which supplements on certain choices. We had three different choices of Lasagne, Chicken Diane and Sea Bass followed by sticky toffee pudding. All the food was excellent, nicely presented with good portion size. The restaurant was very busy and while we were seated immediately, it was clear some larger parties were having to wait for tables to be cleared. Decoration inside the restaurant is contemporary and classy but the absence of any softer fabrics meant the restaurant was quite noisy. The restaurant also appeared to be geared towards larger parties and the configuration of tables meant that you may be seated quite close to other diners. Overall though, the experience was good, service polite and efficient with ample car parking on site."

"The atmosphere was a bit chilly, and perhaps that was due to it being a quiet Monday night, which may have affected the heating. However, the staff was lovely. The food was impressive. My aunt and I both started with pâté, while my cousin had halloumi fries, and they were delicious. For my main course, I had salt and pepper chicken, along with roasted rice, chips, and curry sauce, and it was absolutely amazing. I couldn't finish it because the portion was so large. My aunt ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables, which looked beautiful, and she said it tasted wonderful. My cousin had chicken curry with rice and naan, and she really enjoyed it, mentioning that it wasn't overly spicy, which was perfect since she isn't a fan of hot curries. We decided to skip dessert because we were so full after all that. Overall, I was very satisfied with my salt and pepper chicken!"

"Our bums did not even touch the seats and we were asked what we wanted to drink. A minute later im still in the process of removing my jacket and the staff came back to ask what i wanted to eat!! I didnt even have a chance to look and see what colour the menu was never mind decide what i wanted to eat. After we told the staff that wed like a few more minutes... 5 minutes passed and we were asked another 5 times what we'd like to eat. The whole ordeal seemed like they wanted us in and out like a double cheese burger from mc donalds. The food came super fast like sonic chasing hoops. NOT FRESH, the freshest thing in that restaurant was the roker sea breeze. Avoid if you like food x"

"We came here for Mother 's Day (Sunday lunch). Usually the food here is nice, and the service is usually so so. The owners should be embarrassed at how poor their staff were yesterday. Rude, surly, no knowledge of what they actually had in their hands, and generally 'can 't be bothered do not want to be here '. I suggest if the wait staff don 't want to be there, replace them. Chicken roast was nice although the Yorkshire puddings were raw. The Roast Beef was over cooked and dry All the veg was luke warm (although there was plenty of it). One dessert returned, not only was it shop bought (obvious), it was dry and inedible. Sent it back (it was however still on the bill). Half a teaspoon of ice cream with them. Had to ask for the table (after mains) to be cleared after a good 30 mins. Had to ask for dessert menus after waiting so long for someone to come back, had to ask for dessert spoons (was given one TEASPOON out for 5 people needing them). Those would had cheesecake ate it with the starter fork. One of the cheesecake was half missing compared to the others. It will be a long time before any of us return maybe then if the staff are replaced."

"NO SAFE PROCEDURES IN PLACE FOR SEVERE ALLERGY SUFFERERS Start with the worst a mum of two (toddler and baby) attended in our party and informed serving staff that both have dairy allergy when ordering our food. The mum is a breastfeeding mum (on holiday) and has been avoiding dairy in the time spent with us so as not to pass diary onto her baby through her breast milk. The toddler cannot take dairy now that she is on solid food. Unfortunately for us, the vegan meal was served with carrots tossed/cooked in butter, (which in itself should not have occurred given this was ordered as part of a vegan meal), but which was only noticed at the end of the meal after the toddler started to break out in hives. Having been spoken to separately by waiting staff, chef and management, the only recompense was apologies and 20% off the food bill. The serving staff said a note had been made on the docket and the chef said he had been too busy to notice note this was a Tuesday evening at 5.30 and the restaurant was only about half full. Words are cheap and had the toddler suffered a severe reaction that may have required ambulance attendance, the 20% off the food bill would have done little to recompense our family. Thankfully the parents were quick to administer medication. We recommend that the restaurant respond to this review about how their procedures are to be changed to ensure someone else does not suffer more seriously than we did. Thankfully the parents had the correct medication and epi pen with them. The attitude and culture to responding to this incident was all wrong. By consequence, the kitchen is at worst negligent and disrespectful and at best, careless. I would not trust this kitchen with taking adequate respect over anyone's food allergies, intolerances or avoidances, particularly as the vegan meal was served with butter. Food 1* due to the above and while some of us enjoyed our food around the table, the vegan option was noted to have little taste from the vegetables. Service 3* waiting staff attentive and polite, but again didn't seem trained on how to handle our incident and were keen to pass the blame of communication to the kitchen. Atmosphere 3 nothing notable. We were escorted to a comfortable set of tables for our party size, but we left feeling angry and let down by the response and lack of consideration for our allergy sufferers."
