"If you were rating this place on the quality of food alone, it wouldn 't score this highly, but visiting Yo! Sushi is more than just eating, it 's experience. Everything is so cute. From the little dishes for your soy and wasabi, to the cute little dishes trundling along the conveyor belt, to the little pencils and colouring sheet they bought out for my daughter. And sushi is just the perfect choice for me. I much prefer to have a little bit of lots of different dishes rather than one big plate of one thing. I love to try new things and I 'm determined that one day I 'll be able to tick off everything on the menu at Yo! and say yep! I 've tried the lot! And I must say I had a pretty good stab at ticking a lot of dishes off on Sunday.... I most recently visited Yo! during their 'Sumo Sundays ' promotion all you can eat from the belt for ÂŁ19.50. And boy did I make my money count! I never find sushi particularly filling, but man I was waddling down the escalators out of Harvey Nicks feeling glad of my stretchy pants!! It was very busy, there was a queue in front of me 6 year old Mini MacDoo number 1 when we arrived, but it didn 't take long for us to get seated at the belt. My daughter wasn 't hungry and isn 't adventurous enough to try any of the dishes (much to her foodie mum 's disappointment! so I was a bit worried about her getting bored, but the waiter who served us brought her a a little packet of pencil crayons and a colouring and activity sheet to keep her occupied, which included a fab game where you have to spot six different dishes going round on the belt I got as excited as she did when we ticked the last couple off! So, daughter happily occupied, I began my assault on the belt. I scoffed hairy prawns, salmon skin iso, tuna nigiri, chicken gyoza, crunchy prawn iso, tempura prawns, chicken tsukune, Yo! Rolls and the totally amazing spicy pepper squid. And more. Yes, I 'm a greedy pig, but hey, gotta get your money 's worth in an 'all you can eat ' promotion. In fact I take it as a personal challenge! I 'm determined to take Mr MacDoo to Yo! at some point too. He 's one of these folk who think they won 't like sushi because they 're put off by the thought of raw fish. Or even fish! But I know he 'll love the yaki soba and the chicken katsu and the tsukune balls and the gyoza. Even if you 're not a fish lover there 's still loads to choose from so don 't let it put you off. So in short? Yummy food and a fantastic fun experience. I can 't wait to go again! Stop press!! Have just found out that Leeds is getting a new Yo! Sushi in the new city centre shopping centre Trinity Leeds later this year! Yussss! Bagsy being the first to Yelp about it!!"

"It’s been a while since I visited this restaurant probably pre pandemic and we always loved it. OMG has it changed. Gone is the tempting dishes passing you on conveyor belt now you have order by phone …you have to ask for a paper menu…So you are seated and told where the code is for your table….order…pay and then the order comes to you and stops the conveyor belt and your light goes green. The Edamame beans which we always order and love were inedible to be fair after we tried two separate dishes of them both of which tasted like cardboard they were knocked off the bill. The sushi was nice the Korean Chicken took 22 minutes to arrive from ordering it tasted great but a very long wait . You are also charged a service charge …this must be for showing you to your table as …you order yourself…you take the food off the belt…you pay yourself so I am not sure what service you get…..I understand that service styles change however lots of food was “unavailable “ from the menu …they have taken the fun out of going….the plus side my bill was probably half the normal bill as I was not tempted to try the dishes passing me in the belt as none did….such a shame to see a once great place to eat become an also ran….we will swerve next time we are in the Arndale"

"I was appalled about the quality of the service from the moment I arrived at the moment when I left what was when I arrived, I was not asked if I wanted a drink, and I was not asked about the whole meal. the waitress should have seen on the table that we only had water and asked if we wanted a drink. then we ordered our first round hot food. I pressed the help button and after waiting for a good minute for the waitress finally arrived. I felt it was too long. at this point in the evening there were three complete tables throughout the restaurant, so I thought the time we had to wait was bad. then the food began to come, but it didn't come quite. a few dishes came and then a few more and a few more afterwards. that meant that we didn't all eat together, we all ate at different times. I had ordered two dishes to eat at the same time and they did not arrive at the same time. very disappointing. the third order of hot food was beyond a sweat. it was clear that one of the two waitresses didn't feel very comfortable (I heard one of the chiefs to bring them home). she was our waitress. So we ordered the third round hot food. minutes later, we hadn't had our food yet. in this time the cook spoke with the sick waitress. then I pressed the help button and I explained that we had ordered something to eat and waited a long time. then I look at the waitress and the cook and it was absolutely clear that the order did not go through so that it was only then that the food started to cook. the waitress who took the order explained that there were many problems and it was sorry for her. as a customer who paid for a meal, I did not care about the problems, I still expected a good service and my food to turn. overall I thought the service was absolutely terrible. I will not visit this restaurant again and I will not recommend the restaurant to everyone."

"To start, we shared a platter designed for two, featuring chicken satay, pork skewers, prawn crackers, and spring rolls, accompanied by various dips. Everything was delicious, but the pork skewers were a delightful standout, with incredibly tender meat and a nicely balanced tamarind sauce. The chicken satay was also well-prepared—tasty and moist, which is often a challenge with chicken skewers. I did feel that the portions were somewhat small for £14, especially since there was only one of each item per person. However, in retrospect, this was likely wise given the larger main courses coming up! For mains, we each ordered noodle dishes: I had the chicken pad Thai, while my partner opted for the prawn drunken noodles, and we shared a plate of stir-fried aubergine. The portions for the mains were generous, and my pad Thai was exactly what I was craving. My partner's drunken noodles were equally delightful, with good-quality prawns. The aubergine, however, was the star of the show—soft, silky, and perfectly cooked, with a rich and flavorful sauce that was wonderful but quite intense, making it a good choice to share. We paired our meal with a bottle of the house white, which was light, fruity, and complemented our dishes beautifully. The service was prompt, which is ideal for a pre-theater dinner, yet we never felt rushed and were able to enjoy our wine and unwind a little before heading out. I noticed they were fully booked and had to turn away walk-ins, so I recommend making a reservation for a pre-theater meal, which is easy to do through their website. Just a heads up—the service charge is automatically included in the bill. For two of us, with possibly 2.5 courses and wine, our total came to £75, including tip. While this is a bit more than we usually spend, it felt completely reasonable for the quality of food in London’s theater district."

"first of all, we easily found our table as we were guided by some very friendly staff, and nearly as soon as we were seated had drink orders taken by a very friendly waiter. we ordered the classic 2 for 1 margaritas, which we really did not enjoy but I think this was down to us being wimps more than anything for food, i ordered the cali surf burrito and my boyfriend ordered the el reyes without guacamole, and then we shared some house fries. food was 50% off in january which we thought was a fab deal. i found the burrito portions a little bit too much, purely because the fillings were so rich, but enjoyed mine as much as I could have. I don’t usually like guacamole or pico de gallo either but I really liked it in this. my boyfriend really enjoyed his too the birria beef was really rich. the house fries were as good as fries can be too, although the sauce was not really chipotle mayo, more a lightly flavoured mayo, but no complaints here as i love mayo. to finish off, we ordered some of the blue raspberry frozen margaritas and I was worried they’d be too icy to drink but we found it quite easy and they were lovely. all of the servers were very helpful and attentive my only complaint is that there is a lot of noise in comparison to the sizes of the dining room for reference, we were there from around 4.30 to 6.15. overall a very nice experience with pleasant food and good drinks, if not a bit overpriced in places."
