"My party of four booked a reservation for Steak Night at The Swan. This restaurant is a fantastic choice for meat lovers who enjoy a delicious T-bone steak. The steak comes with chips, condiments, and a rocket salad, all meant to be shared between two people and cooked to your liking. We chose to dine in the garden and, due to our older age, requested a bench be replaced with three chairs, which was promptly and effortlessly accommodated. There was a slight confusion about the corkage charge, but it was handled with great attention to detail. As a resident of Chiswick, I consider The Swan to be one of the top restaurants in the area."

"This London restaurant is one of the best. Each dish is bursting with flavor and made with top-quality ingredients. The T Bone steak is possibly the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is wonderful, especially during the Christmas season. I can't wait to return. Many thanks to Antonio and the rest of the team for the fantastic service. Overall rating: Food 5, Service 5, Atmosphere 5."

"I treated my mother to a birthday brunch at Two Sisters restaurant last Sunday. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and given information about the brunch choices (buffet or specials) and any modifications available (like turkey bacon instead of pork). I believe this is the perfect spot for a leisurely brunch, especially for a mother-daughter outing. The food and service were excellent. We used a Groupon for our visit, but we will definitely return even without it. It was worth it."

"Booked this restaurant well in advance and received your confirmation. Strangely, we received no call from them to confirm the booking. We turned up as booked but there was no one there. We waited but still no staff. I then spotted a girl doing some paperwork behind the bar. I went to go to speak to her but she picked everything up and went away. I though she was going to get someone to see to us but no.. Eventually we left. This is the first time we have ever had such an experience and the management at Sir Richard should be ashamed of themselves. Fortunately a lovely Italian just down the road found us a table."

"we're a family of five, table booked for 6pm on a Sunday evening. we only had a main course and dessert but we didn't get out until after 8pm. the mains took an hour to come. we had to chase the waitresses for extra drinks. my daughter was served a roast dinner with a Yorkshire pudding that was cut in half! My son had chips instead of mash and none of the serving staff noticed these little annoyances- this was a Mothers Day special menu so it's not as if it was overly complicated! we had to ask someone to clear our table ages after the mains had been finished. we felt forgotten the whole time we were in the restaurant. the final straw was the bill arriving which was wrong and had to be corrected- the special menu had a set price of £20 for 2 course which they hadn't applied. We've always tried to be loyal to this restaurant and it must be said the food was beautiful, but 9 times out of 10 when we come here the experience is awful, so we won't be coming back anytime soon!"

"Food is absolutely delicious. We had a fab dinner small plates that aren’t THAT small and everything we ordered was really good. Only small criticism was we were rushed off our table and the bill was put in front of us even though we hadn’t asked for it! Guess they needed the table but it hadn’t been made clear to us when we sat down that we were “on the clock”!"

"So we were originally meant to be a table of 7 unfortunately 2 were unable to make it, it was a surprise birthday treat for a friends birthday, she knew she was heading out with one of the girls but wasn’t expecting the rest of us. The table we had booked wasn’t ready as they were still waiting for the previous party to vacate and we were asked to sit at the bar, the three of us nervous we wouldn’t get balloon decorations ready for the birthday girl ! But we managed it just in time, as said before some tables the staff offered to take coats and they never asked us, not a big gripe we had a big table and plenty of space of at a smaller table it might have been an issue but it was incredibly busy. We found the menu more than a little confusing ! Sunday menu wasn’t overly clear tbh but we all pretty much opted to go for steaks from the a la carte after all it was a special ocassion , we ordered a number of sides to go along with our steaks and mostly non alcoholic drinks but birthday girl was treated to a wine and a cheeky wee sambuca. The wait for the steaks wasn’t longer than I’d expect anywhere for freshly prepared food and gave us plenty time to chat and enjoy a catch up. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with how all the steaks were cooked and we were all suitably stuffed. We only had mains but we did have another surprise for the birthday girl a massive Costco cake the staff brought out for her along with plates knives forks etc and joined in singing happy birthday to her. Hopefully the staff all managed to get a slice later as it was never going to be eaten by all of us. The staff were all super friendly and couldn’t have been any nicer to us. I was a bit shocked at the £30 service charge as personally I always tip but like to make my own choice about how much to tip but it was reasonable and would have been roughly similar but can’t comment for the rest of the party. I will hopefully be back but with someone else paying next time lol"

"I had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. I tried the festive menu and enjoyed all the dishes. The server was kind enough to switch my calamari for buffalo wings when I had food envy. They also honored the 2 cocktails for £12 deal, even though it was a weekday offer. The restaurant took all necessary COVID precautions and practiced social distancing, which may have contributed to the quieter atmosphere than usual for this time of year. Typically, there would be a more lively party atmosphere."

"5 Stars??? Yes I do feel generous sometimes, unlike the teachers in high school who never wanted to shell out that extra half a mark for a spelling mistake. Let 's get back to Manhattan Grill and analyse (food reviewing is very serious business I tell ya! how and why they deserve full marks. I am more of a West London girl and I like the Victorian and Georgian buildings but the walk to Manhattan Grill, especially the pretty bridge you have to cross from Canary Wharf to reach your destination (Manhattan Grill is extremely romantic (that is the best word I could use, I promise . The external ambience of any restaurant does add to its charm. Oh did I mention that this steak house is a part of Mariott, these guys are ace when it comes to such things! I made a reservation before going and I was extremely delighted to see that the manager remembered my name without having to look at one of those black diaries. The service was a bit slow initially (it took them a while to get us water which we requested for but the overall service made up for that little jolt. I was generous to take a friend of mine along with me (nothing is worse than eating alone, I promise to try this place (did I mention that I won a voucher from this lovely site? Woohoo Zomato! and we decided to go for cocktails instead of wine, think we both had enough of wine over the weekend. While I was trying to carefully pick a cocktail from the menu and looking rather confused, the manager suggested that we had to the bar where an extremely experienced bar genius will talk us through all of them. We made our way to a very old fashioned (in a nice way looking bar called the G&T bar and as the name suggests they specialise in Gin. The bar genius, Sam made us try some lovely Gin from around the world Saffron infused Gin, Spice route Gin and a very London Gin. All of them had their own distinctive tastes I am not a neat spirit kind of girl but even I loved all of them especially the silk route or spice route gin (yeah yeah make those lame curry jokes, go on because I could taste the cinnamon, cardamom and other gorgeous spices. He made me a cocktail with that gin and added some more exciting things to it which included rosemary, chocolate and orange liquor BLISS. Before entering the restaurant I was starving but all this Gin excitement made me forget my hunger but by the time my cocktail was ready the waiter came and said : 'Madam your Steak is ready ' Perfect Timing! I went for the rib eye steak with creamy mash and red wine sauce keep it simple! My steak was perfectly cooked medium well (just the way I like and it was MASSIVE! A person with my appetite can never finish one of those, and needless to say I didn 't either! After being rather satisfied with my steak and cocktail, we ordered for a Manhattan Raspberry Cheesecake It was again simple but delicious. Perfect sweetness, I don 't like my cheesecakes to be extremely sugary and a generous crust nom nom nom. And... I am running out of stars! Verdict : Stunning location, Great service, Knowledgeable bar genius with a great moustache, Beautiful, well done meat and yummy desserts That m 'dear is a perfect dinner! I shall rest my case here. You can read more details on my blog."

"After waiting until the last minute to book a restaurant in Chester, I decided to try The Handbridge, as it was just a short walk from the city center. Upon entering, I found the place to be quite calm, but I must say that both the food and service were excellent. It's a pity there wasn't a livelier atmosphere. I imagine that on a busier night outside of January, the place would have a lot more energy, given the quality of the food."

"After reading the reviews, we had high expectations for our visit to Mad Dogs on a Thursday evening. However, the restaurant was surprisingly quiet, and the waitress directed us to the bar area, where we found bench-style seating. We started with poppers and mozzarella sticks, both of which were generously portioned and delicious. For our main course, we ordered ribs, but unfortunately, they were too dry and not something we would recommend. The overall atmosphere felt a bit lackluster, and the decor was quite plain."

"This was my third visit to Homewood Park and as usual the food was delicious. Everything was beautifully presented. They use ingredients that I wouldn’t necessarily eat at home but always happy to try when out out for a meal. My husband had smoked chicken, black pudding, pickled mushrooms and pear. An unusual combination, but beautifully presented and he cleared his plate. We both had roast Pork as a main meal and I had Sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It was light as air, but more sticky toffee sauce please! Wonderful! Well done chef. The staff were charming as ever, friendly and attentive. They all make you feel very special, from Ania on Reception, Miles in the Bar and the waiter who remembered our faces from a previous visit. We can’t wait for our next trip in May for a special birthday celebration."

"It has been a while since I last dined at The Dolphin and I have previously enjoyed it. The new floor was slippery and wet, which was a bit concerning. The food was average; my wife and I had the leg of lamb which was well cooked and tasty, but the accompanying pea risotto was not great. The most disappointing aspect was the lack of consideration for disabled customers. The back door, which is usually easier for those with mobility issues, was locked. The front entrance had a couple of steps, making it difficult to navigate. I would suggest installing a slope somewhere to improve accessibility. Additionally, improving the path to the upper car park would instill confidence for those at risk of tripping on uneven ground."

"Nice and attentive service, no issue here. No issue other than they forgot to ask me how to cook my steak and it came well done...this is not how I like it. Food does have a potential to be great but this is not how we received it. I had a Challenger, which is a crazy £20 big burger: chicken breast, 2 beef burgers, bacon, 5oz steak, 2 hash browns cheese and some lettuce and tomato. Chicken dry, beef burgers overdone, steak well done. What else I was missing was more garnish to make the dish not so dry. Pickles, cabbage, mustard souses whatever. Our 4yo girl had a burger and chips. Plain burger in a bun, which was OK as she wouldn't touch salad in a burger. There was nothing else tho, she likes sweetcorn, beans and other healthier stuff to go with burger and chips. Wife had Salomon. Small piece of fish few potatoes and salad, nothing special but nice. The worst of the whole dinner were sweet potatoes fries. Boiled rather than fried i think not crispy at all. Few thinks to change and it could be a great place! We will not be coming back any time soon."

"We escaped the main body of the flare itself, only the tail end of the energy wafted across our planet, like the smoke from next door’s bonfire drifting into your garden on a Saturday afternoon. It made for a spectacular lightshow, the midnight sky illuminated as beams of super-heated gas shot across the heavens, streaks of light, sunset orange at first then a brighter yellow then finally bright white, the intensity of the energy increased and blended with our atmosphere. No sound, not at first at least. The bright streaks overhead moved in silence, from what seemed like directly overhead then off into the distance, they looked to disappear over the horizon as they shot off into space. Then came the noise, it sounded like distant thunder to begin with, a low rumble that grew and swirled around the busy sky. The streaks overhead increased in size, until the whole sky flashed white with intermittent blinding explosions within the magnetic field around our Earth. We stood and watched open mouthed, as the universe gave us a stark reminder of our place within it. It acted as a global EMP, frying solenoids like bacon all over the world, we lost almost all electricity overnight. Weeks passed before the power started to come back on, clean became available and the world was settling back down to a variation of normal. It took years to properly rebuild, decades of struggle, but now some forty years later we have new technology borne out of the flare, electromagnetic propulsion was fast becoming a reality. New discoveries were being made decades after the event, only last week a chap in Germany had learned how to ignite a fire underwater, a remarkable, if somewhat pointless endeavour. All of this leads us to here, where the next great discovery happens, today, to a man called Jack."

"This was my 2nd time at this restaurant. On arrival we didn't have reservations but were quickly seated. It was not busy. We were 2 adults and one child. We had a look at the menu and ordered our foods. We adult had bottom less drinks. The food was good. Good portions apart from the starter of king prawns. I found it overpriced for what it was (4 prawns). You could not really taste the so call garlic and herbs. I ended up ordering the prawns cocktail. We should have gone for that from the start. More value for money on it. And tastier. So I def recommend the prawns cocktail for started it can also be easily shared by 2. My chicken was well cooked, and my friend stake was cooked well too. My kid enjoyed her burger and chips and had a ice cream in the end. Which wasn't too bad. Service was ok. No issues on payment. Overall we enjoyed ourselves. It would be nice if the kids many had something to keep the kids entertained. But I would otherwise say that is as family friendly restaurant."
