"I used to love comingt to Medusa but now their staff doesn’t speak English and it’s really hard to order our meals. My daughter has allergies and our group spent a good few min trying to ask a question to a red haired young waitress that speaks very little English. We think she was a waitress as she wasn’t wearing the usual uniform and was just eating behind the bar. When we got our food, it came wrong but we didn’t even complain because we knew she wouldn’t understand. The service used to be very good, the waitress were lovely and polite, but now it’s hard to order anything and as a loyal customer of Medusa for many years, I should say that you should hire front house staff that actually speaks English. We had a party for 15 booked but I’ll be cancelling it."

"Terribly ugly frontage, which is the shutters of the businesses below, but a nice little restaurant when you get upstairs. It was quiet when we visited, so not much atmosphere, but the food was top notch. Portion sizes were a bit mean...3 halves of roast potato with a main course of chicken...come on, potatoes are really cheap! We'll definitely go again, and again though, and I wouldn't mind owning some shares in this (highly profitable? business, haha! Well worth a visit to imagine you're back on your hols!"

"*The chef came out and shouted at my family whilst we were trying to enjoy my birthday meal* We visited Saturday 9th April at 5pm to celebrate my birthday. Myself, husband, 2 babies, my mum, dad and brother. We had ordered our food and enjoyed...our starter dishes. Food we had tried was really tasty. Then we had also ordered 2 mixed lamb/chicken souvlakis. Husbands was fine, my brothers lamb however was very chewy, rubbery and difficult to cut into. We told the waitress who was reluctant to take it back to the kitchen. She said to order a new dish and she would take it off the bill. My brother said he just wanted the lamb replacing. Next thing, THE CHEF has come out and proceeded to SHOUT at my brother. Telling him it is from the same animal, he cannot cook it differently, etc and then stormed off!! We were in absolute shock!! We didn’t want to continue our meal, being spoken to like that. Another man came to us saying he is sorry, the Chef is the owner what can he do to help. We asked for the bill for the starters we had eaten and that we would not be staying to eat another thing. The man who I assume is the actual owner) did just charge us for what we had eaten but we left a table full of food because of the way the Chef came out and shouted at us. We were not going to continue eating and paying to be spoken to like that! Never experienced anything like it! The food we had tried (apart from lamb souvlaki) was nice. But this ruined my birthday and we will not be going back again."

The burger was definitely a frozen patty it was tough as.. for £12.50 for the burger Greek salad was poor for £5.50 no ouzo dressing it's soggy tomatoes with 3 olives..and a tiny bit of feta cheese. "Not sure where all the good ratings come from, the food was very mediocre and we were quite disappointed. Nowhere near what we have had in Greece and our local Greek restaurant at home. Even worse, the wine (Merlot) was bland with no character whatsoever and on reading the label I saw that it had been purchased from Aldi. Why? At £73.50 for the experience we felt very hard done to. "finally had a chance to take my friends to lady libertine, I told them how amazing this is since my first time here! we have ordered almost the whole menu 5 people, the pictures do not contain the dessert: sourteigbrot, baba ganoush, baked olive feta balls, large calamari, roasted butternut quiver, truffle cream frits, ox cheeks croquets, slowly cooked lamb shawarma, banana chocolate sponge, hazelnut dark. a few comments to eat – it's really good. such strong, well-mixed aromen, really impressive! for the hearty courses I would suggest to order a bit of everything and share everything. the desserts we tried were not very suitable for the exchange, so we order them for the next time individually. please order the baba ganoush and the Butternut Quark, they will not regret it! my only note to improvement – it was my first time to try the lamb sawarma here, it tasted a little playful? you must mention that the service was also really good, they have a very attentive team that helped us select our dishes. everything in everything will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu!"

"Have visited this restaurant every year for the last 10 years when on holiday usually two visits per trip because the food is consistently excellent and the service is outstanding. A bit more pricey than most in the area but we feel it is well worth it for the excellent experience. Sadly it was not to be on this occasion, after being seated it took quite some time to tale an order, we had to ask for a drinks order to be taken, it took half an hour for the drinks to arrive, the starters were lovely but come the mains they did not know which of the two steaks were which, one was both were ordered with French fries one came with mashed potatoes the other with fried potato slices. Once those errors were sorted we all ended up eating out of sequence and it experience was so disjointed it was ruined. We had been out to celebrate an anniversary so disappointing the food when we eventually got what we ordered remains excellent but there were only two front of house staff for twenty plus tables. Won’t be back this trip and will not return until I get a recommendation that the service is a lot better"

"Very good Greek food in a cozy small restaurant (about 12 tables , located in a strip mall on Applegate Rd. After Taverna Ouzo closed its doors (coincidentally, it was located on the same Applegate Rd. quite a few years ago, there weren 't any authentic Greek restaurants in the area, so we are happy with our new finding. Faros (apparently, owned, managed, and served by people of Greek descent serves fully authentic and deliciously prepared Greek cuisine. The menu is extensive, there is a variety of choices for every taste and like. The food is fresh, the grilled dishes are thoroughly prepared to perfection. The hot appetizers platter Zesta pikilia tis pareas (assortment of tiropitakia, keftedakia, dolmadakia, spanakopitakia, and gigantes is ideal for two people and is offered for a budget friendly price of $20.5. The main courses, both traditional Greek specialties, souvlaki, and gyro platters are on the bigger side, definitely guaranteeing a need for box it up, please . The overall pricing is in today 's day and age certainly decent. Undoubtedly, highly recommended."

"I recently saw a review about delivery issues at the restaurant, but I want to clarify that the problem was actually with Just Eat, not the restaurant itself. I had a similar experience a few weeks ago and Just Eat recognized their mistake and gave me a refund. The restaurant staff handled the situation professionally and the person I spoke with was excellent. I have always received excellent food and service at the Taverna. It seems the previous reviewer was confused about how a delivery system works, and their harsh review was unnecessary and unfair. It's unfortunate that some people feel the need to criticize others when it's not their fault. I felt the need to speak up because the restaurant is great and I can't wait to eat there again soon!"

"We visited 3 years ago and had a really lovely meal and the service and atmosphere was spot on. It’s a lovely building and very well decorated. However we revisited last night and to say it was really disappointing was an understatement. We arrived at 1830 and the restaurant downstairs was quiet. We were seated and drink and food menus were brought over. The waitress explained there were a few cocktails missing and some dishes missing from the menus. We ordered drinks and were left to look at the food menu. 20 minutes later I asked her to come over so we could order food and asked about our drinks. She explained that the bar staff would not arrive until 1900hrs. My short cocktail then arrived with a very long straw.. I asked for a short one which seemed to put the waitress out a bit and she explained she’d have to cut one in half which I said was fine no problem. Starters arrived not to long after and it was lovely, very nice calamari with olives and pitta. At around 1945 we were told that we would still wait for our main due to a large table upstairs and that the chef was on his own. 2025hrs our main arrived. This is a substantial wait for a main, my arrived the lamb chops and it looked nice, I asked for some vinegar which arrived in a small dish, she apologised and said that the pourers were all dirty! my husbands mixed grill was cold. He ate the rather small lamb chop and also found an item missing from his mixed grill. Then kebabs were stone cold. We asked the waitress over an explained and she took it back to the kitchen, she was gone a few minutes and came back and said you’ve eaten most of it so we can re heat the rest. My husband tried to explain that he’d only had the chop and an item was missing and she dismissed him. We explained we were happy to pay for the rest of the meal but not his as it was as described and it was cold. She walked away from the table and returned a few minutes later and threw the bill down and said I’ve taken £10 off. And walked away. I then had to go to see her to ask to see the manager. The manager came over, we explained that we were happy to pay for the rest of the meal however not the mixed grill. She explained that the chef was stressed due to being on his own and they had a large party upstairs and her staff were not highly trained. She explained that the meal would have been reheated in someone else’s juices in their mixed grill and not microwaved. She deducted the mixed grill from the bill which was appreciated. I feel that this could have been avoided, a large pre booked party and also continuing to take booking means you might need some more staff. It’s the little details that make coming for a meal a good experience. 3 years ago this place was great, now not so much. We wouldn’t revisit. Better value for money, and better service else where."

"First visit to the Parthenonas with my wife and a warm welcome awaited us on arrival, we were immediately led to a table central to the restaurant by friendly staff who explained how and what our Groupon Voucher covered. We ordered meatballs in sauce and a warm feta and tomato dish for our two starters and creamy steak and salmon for or two mains and a large glass of red wine, water was immediately brought to the table, and the food was wonderful. The owner was very friendly and kept us entertained through our visit even though the topic was political it was really good given the state of the country at present. We were offered free Coffees and drinks before leaving, the whole evening was £40.00 including a reasonable tip. Will definitely be back even though it is almost a 2 hour round trip from our home in Howden"

"We were excited to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. The waiter also served as the chef, leading to a lack of attentive service. It took a long time to get our drinks, there was no ambience, and we weren't offered water. The calamari starter was served without bread or dip, and our mains took over 30 minutes to arrive and were disappointing. The food did not match the pictures on the website and lacked vegetables, with the rice resembling a boil-in-the-bag. No one checked on us for drink refills. Additionally, a woman was denied a table for one despite there being empty tables, which was rude and uncomfortable to witness. The portion sizes were small, and the overall experience fell below our expectations for a Greek restaurant. We left without ordering dessert or coffee, eager to depart."

"this is a must visit restaurant when in exeter. If we were approaching, we would be a parent. the food and service is excellent. the biggest problem is to decide what to start, so we have ordered more than one and divided like a meze. its friendly atmosphere and freshly cooked and prepared eating seems really through, and in contrast to some larger chains they feel welcome and their use is appreciated and appreciated. when they go early, I think, before 6.30 a.m. they get a 20% discount, which made it excellent worth for money, but if they later value its still great, as the portions are very generous. to be fair, all smaller appetite would go best for children portioning. Even those who are not sure about Greek cuisine, they really have to try to give this, and all the natives who have not been what they do, they bring themselves down there."

"Have just spent a lovely evening at Frosoullas. The staff really are so welcoming and our server was attentive without being intrusive. We ordered the house white wine and that was good. We both went for the Calamari to start and it was delicious, so fresh with a tasty batter. For mains i decided to stick with seafood and went with the Saganaki, a great choice as the mussels, prawns, salmon etc, were full of flavour and served with a lovely sauce. My partner usually has lamb kebab but wanted to try something different and opted for the Chicken Yachni which was like a casserole with vegetables in a rich tomato sauce and roast potatoes on the side and his verdict was Fantastic . We finished off with greek coffee. All in all a fab meal, great value, great service and in lovely surroundings. We 've already booked to go back with friends."

"absolutely top notch dining experience in ithaca. they highly recommend a table as other potential diners that had not booked were turned away. kind, warm welcome at arrival, delicious food and good service, what else do you need? there is an extensive menu and it was difficult to choose, as there were so many beautiful dishes, so as a compromise we chose a main dish and then added 4 appetizers and a part of the fret. all cooked to perfection and full taste. full plates to empty plates tell them everything they need to know. overall a super culinary experience and can not expect to visit again no hesitation in the recommended, enjoy!"

"We had made a reservation for 7.30pm on a Saturday, weeks in advance, for a birthday celebration. Although we had enjoyed the food on previous visits, our friends had not been before so we recommended the restaurant to them. Unfortunately, the special weekend main course was already sold out, which was disappointing. Things went downhill from there - we had to wait until around 9pm to receive our food, despite ordering at around 8pm. It seemed that a party upstairs was getting more attention from the staff. We were led to believe that this group was not expected, even though we had booked weeks ahead. The poor service completely ruined our evening. I reached out to the restaurant to express my disappointment, but received no response. We will not be recommending or returning to this restaurant."

"Absolutely my favourite place to eat out in Brighton. I love Greek food and this little gem of a place doesn't disappoint. Run by two brothers who are actually Greek, there is an authenticity to this restaurant that you just don't get in a lot of other places. I have eaten at adelfia on several occasions now and every time has been fantastic. As someone with allergies to gluten, eggs and dairy it's great to be able to go somewhere and still have choice. Dre, who runs the front of house, and yani, who runs the kitchen, communicate so well with each other to ensure that I always have a fantastic meal with nothing in it that will cause me problems On top of this, the place is spotless, the atmosphere is amazing and all the staff are super friendly and polite. There's really nothing not to love. If you get a chance to try this place, do. You won't be disappointed!"
