"rebooked the garden space in the dormy house during the stay near the fish hotel. the environment was very warm and welcoming, and overall eating was very good. but the service was lacking and made us confused by reconciliation. In view of the thoughtful and extensive weinlist we could see one of our favourite mixes from South Africa on the menu. after ordering, and about 15 minutes later, the server back to say there was a mistake, and they put the wrong varietal on the list and wanted to serve us a completely différent wein from this manufacturer. we ordered another bottle in harmony with the food we ordered. but our appetizers came before our wine. wait another 15 minutes (we are now 30 minutes in our dinner without wine) and the waiter comes with another bottle saying that they have lost our bottle, but for us to drink this while we wait. no explanation and not even the wine she poured. that was the last thing we saw from our waiter, because somehow the room was busy and she took the other guests for the rest of the night. we finally got our wee who was brought to the table without the cork. strange practice to get a restaurant of this caliber. when we finished our dessert, we fought for 20 minutes to get every server to recognize us or to delete our records. So we went to the server station to ask for the bill. we have observed our server work at least seven different tabs before we had to go up a second time. when the bill came, the server did not even ask us how our dinner was. we gave our credit card and the other server took it away. she returned 10 minutes later to say that she lost the connection. she gave us the card back and canceled the processing statement and said she couldn't charge our card. she did not know what to do and asked if we were with him at the reception (even if we were not guests of the hotel) will not return."

"A real little gem of a pub would highly recommend lovely food lovely staff we ended up going there every night for our dinner small menu which is good as you know the food will be freshly cooked lovely food chose something different each evening and all the meals were first class And very tasty Would definitely recommend Mr and mrs k East sussex"

"Very long wait for our 2 cocktails. 20 minutes. Worst disaronno sour I have had. Very sickly. Perhaps just a case of the wrong staff at the wrong time but to have a sign outside saying best cocktails in town I feel you should live up to this. Great shame as the music and atmosphere were nice. Having already chased the delivery of our cocktails we gave up commenting afterwards on their poor quality and just left. "Amazing pub with fantastic food and staff. A definite must-visit spot. There is plenty of parking available, although it can get busy at times. The road access is good. The price per person is in the range of £20-30. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect 5 rating. Highly recommended are the Fish and Chips. Plenty of parking space is available, with free parking options."

"Lovely meal at Maharaja. The restaurant is in the courtyard behind, but attached to the Victory Inn pub. Classic Indian restaurant style menu but with some unique dishes. The staff were really fantastic and we were served by Mehede who looked after us all evening and was very quick to attend to every request. Great that the bar from the pub is shared with the restaurant, and you can see the kitchens as you walk in! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options on the traditional Indian restaurant menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Step free access but a bit tight getting through the courtyard.
