"Barcode was a delightful surprise. We stopped by for an early dinner before attending The Burnt City, and while the atmosphere initially made us a bit uneasy—its spacious, stark walls bathed in blue light from a game, reminiscent of a scene from Blade Runner—the food completely won us over. The lamb biryani was stunning, featuring perfectly fluffy rice and a crispy, flaky top. The goat roghan josh was packed with flavor and incredibly tender. However, the kid goat was the true star of the meal; it was exceptionally juicy, well-seasoned, and so tender that it practically melted in your mouth. I finally understand what the word “fragrant” means. The lamb momos were the perfect comfort food for a cold and damp London evening—juicy, spiced, and utterly irresistible. What a little gem this restaurant is! I can’t wait to come back."

"This is the best Indian food I have ever tasted! Don't underestimate this restaurant by its appearance - once you walk in, you will be amazed by the beautiful ambiance and delicious dishes. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and they offer a great variety of vegan and gluten-free options. Despite the ongoing Covid-19 situation, I felt very safe dining here as all the staff were wearing masks and practicing social distancing. The dining experience was still just as special. I will definitely be coming back to try the tasting menu!"

"not a great experience last night. I had a table pre-booked, and when we arrived, although 10 minutes early, we were on a table for four to sit down. we got menus and then ignored 15 minutes. no personal would see me in the eye when they passed. the manager/avner then came to us, asked me to refer to my name on the reservation book and said he wanted us to move to another table. this is the least comfortable in the restaurant, between the bar and the door jammed. After I have eaten there before I know that you spend all your meal, entering with everyone or leaving the restaurant that is dying past you. we were offered a discount on food to move what is good, but what was left me was said we would receive excellent service for movement. if they are in the hospitality, all the excellent service should be obtained. it also sounded like a veiled threat that we would continue to be ignored if we had stayed. this is the second bad experience that we had here and it is such a shame that they have some good dishes, but we will not go back."

"This restaurant is sensational! . My family and I have just enjoyed a most incredible meal and memorable experience at this unique and magical restaurant in the centre of Falmouth. This is a hidden gem that is not to be missed. The menu is so unique and limited but this is what makes it special as you know everything on the menu is well thought out and fresh. The flavours are delicious and tantalising and the staff and owners are amazing adding a pleasant and personal touch to your dining experience. The decor and colours in the restaurant are so beautiful and uplifting. Highly recommended and not to be missed!"

"I had an amazing first experience at this restaurant! My family from Antwerp, Belgium, visited, and they asked me to arrange a surprise meal for my wife, who was unaware of their presence in the UK. Booking a table was easy through Instagram since I no longer use Facebook. The staff were friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. The food was outstanding; we sampled each other's dishes to enjoy a variety of flavors. I ordered the legendary Railway Lamb, while my wife opted for the Chicken Tikka. Both dishes were bursting with fresh flavors. It was a lovely touch when the chef came over to greet us. We will definitely be returning soon to try the signature Biriyani!"

"Went for my wife’s birthday for 9 people, food came in parts, cutlery missing, chipped plates, kept reminding them of missing order, drinks not delivered on time, no tissues, person serving (waiter) no where to be seen, terrible terrible service, very very ordinary food, tiny portions, nothing exceptional. Very disappointed and ruined wife’s birthday dinner and she clearly blames me. Will not be going again. Their Birmingham and Manchester branches are good but not the barking one."

"Absolutely fantastic! The dishes are made with fresh and delightful flavors, cooked perfectly. This small restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but it has an incredibly delicious menu. "One of the truly Authentic tastes of India in London. I constantly struggle to find a restaurant in this city that is true to its original tastes and flavours. Shree Krishna Vada Pav firmly fits this bill. It reminds me of vada pav's eaten at multiple train stations in Bombay. Missal pav's are as spicy and crunchy as I remember them to be. Sabudana vadas are like those sold in so many Bonbay office canteens. Street food is meant to be eaten as soon as it's made on the spot. So while they offer to pack take aways, it is tastiest if consumed on location. I heartily recommend this place. And for a true taste of India, have some Thums Up on the side. The caffeine and bubbles following the spicy food, will make your tongue tingle even more."

"The food was served on plain white IKEA plates, which didn’t enhance the presentation. I highly recommend investing in better crockery. However, the quality of the food more than made up for this! The chicken tikka masala was the best I’ve ever tasted! While the fish masala was a bit too mild for our liking, it was still good. The chicken 65 starter was also excellent. We did experience a long wait for our meals; however, the chef took the time to personally apologize to each table, which was a nice touch. The restaurant could use some improvements in decor, but the outstanding service and delicious food make it worth a visit. I will definitely return for more! Thank you!"

"The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I will never ever set foot in this place again and I will continue to tell every person that I come across how terrible this ordeal was. We have been in contact with the 'boss ' of Nakodar catering since November where we had made our initial enquiry. This then continued into December where we engaged in a WhatsApp conversation to confirm the details of the catering required for my wedding of 350 people and the food. He then told us that we could come into the shop whenever we like to pay the deposit. We followed up again to ask whether or not he preferred cash or card and he said card is fine. We arrived at the store in January to be told by another lady that our booking does not exist and she had no idea what we were talking about!! She allowed us to speak to the 'boss ' on the phone who completely denied ever speaking to us! We sent WhatsApp messages to him whilst he was on the phone to highlight the conversation but he continued to deny everything and said that he would call us tomorrow. The way he spoke to my elderly mother on the phone was disgusting and caused her to have a panic attack once we got back into our car. At such short notice (less than 2 months until the event) we didn 't expect to find any other option but we definitely got lucky! He showed no remorse and was not interested at all in providing any kind of solution. Avoid at all costs."

"If you’re looking for a quick way to get food poisoning, I highly recommend this place. I ordered the spicy grilled chicken wrap, but “spicy” actually meant it was flavored with ginger—definitely not what I expected. The tortilla was hard and felt like it had been sitting around for ages. It was hands down the worst wrap I’ve ever had. I also tried the chicken box; the rice was decent, but the chicken was just as disappointing. If you want to make an urgent stop at the nearest restroom, definitely grab something to eat here. If I could, I would go to this restaurant right now just to express my frustration—not only for the terrible food but also for the misery they caused me due to food poisoning. If anyone knows how to report them for a hygiene inspection, please do so on my behalf."

"Absolutely outstanding! First time ordering here and they smashed it out of the park. A couple of our regular curry houses had gone downhill and we'd tried a few places trying to find a new gem all were pretty average in all honesty. Akhtars was recommended to us by a friend who'd previously recommended our current favourite kebab house. Ordered a peshwari tikka creamy but with a kick, just my style. My wife ordered desi lamb, rich and spicy. Great spice blend, tender meat. Keema rice was excellent, prawn puri was perfect and the garlic naan, although slightly burnt, we quite like that charred flavour so not a negative there either. The mushroom pakoras didn't travel well but you e got to expect that. They were very tasty and a decent size portion. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Just sad that we're now on our January diet because I'd order from here twice a week! Really pleased we've found a new regular. No idea how much it cost, but after tasting the food, I don't really care. Awesome food and it arrived 25 minutes earlier than expected. I don't give out 5* very often, but this place would've got a 7*. Needless to say, we'll be ordering again."

"came here on a Saturday to peak times, there was a sale on and next door, with the dressing shop, the decor was very modern and beautiful in sitting. When I entered, I received a reception from the staff who welcomed me and got me a place with little to no waiting time, then I ordered a cheeseburger meal. came in a few minutes in the busy period, which was surprising how fast the service was. the cheeseburger it itself was very nice l and well cooked. I have no complaints and would order it again. the highlight of the experience was the dessert, recommended by amaan mahmood, the chocolate thing with the movingnpick vanille Ice-Cream, who was honestly dessert a top animal I tried in the uk. 10/10 I would come back to try more from the menu."

"Stayed in Newcastle on a Sunday on our way to Edinburgh and didn't realize how late it was when we arrived. We were starving and desperately trying to find decent food at 10pm and were recommended Dabbawal. They let us order even though the kitchen closed in 7 minutes. We got the chef's choice and cocktails and everything was amazing. Probably the best Indian food I've ever had. Great value for the prices. The manager and staff were incredibly kind, even though we arrived 30 minutes before they closed. 10/10, thank you for taking great care of us."

"I've always been out here regularly. I love eating, but I have noticed that they take in busy times kissing customers once I ordered a disk harness that ran out in the night in the refrigerator. the court was obviously made days before and given me to earn her money yesterday, I got another take away, I ordered four naan with my curry. the two tops looked fresh, what my sister took after home. the lower two I had for me were cut into half and hard when I ate obviously they left me from day or day before eating is order. I do not recommend taking anyone, I strongly think of reporting this place to food standards."
