"this place is brilliant! the personal is really friendly and made some fantastic cocktails to our preferences. the cocktails were simply the best we ever had the food was delicious and well presented. it has a really good pulsating atmosphere. I was there as a couple, but the place was so well defined that there were families, groups of friends and girls would also and none of them beaten there. this is a gracious place that meets every place for everyone. highly recommended. we will return definitiw. thanks for a great evening."

"The best balti in all of Great Britain. We have been coming here for 15 years, and last night I brought my girlfriend along. We had a fantastic time, the staff were as welcoming and friendly as ever. The food was delicious and very affordable. We ordered katlama, chicken pakora, chicken balti, huh jalfrezi, two naans, and a side of rice, all of which were excellent. For dessert, we had gul road jamun and chocolate barfi. The total bill came to £27, what a great deal!"

"Went for Beauty and The Beast afternoon tea yesterday. Utterly stunning building and the room we were sat in was decorated beautifully. The service from start to finish was lovely although we did have to flag someone down anytime we needed something as we were not approached at all for more drinks or if we wanted our scones. The sandwiches were lovely and cut perfectly if not a little bland. The chicken roll was lovely and the toastie was nice but would benefit from stronger cheese as it didn’t really taste of anything. The scones were perfect and some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The sausage rolls were amazing as were the little tart and salmon mousse. The cakes very much let it all down. The blueberry cake tasted of nothing and seemed greasy. The macaron again tasted of very little and the red food colouring stained everything it touched. The lemon cake was nice but the icing was awful and it seemed to be made from margarine rather than actual butter. The chocolate mousse was lovely if not a little strong for the children. Both the savoury and sweet biscuits were out of this world. Our biggest complaint is that 4 of us were squeezed into a small table. We really struggled for space. I couldn’t drink my tea and had to hand back my pot of tea as we simply didn’t have space for it. We felt incredibly cramped. It would of been nice to have some music in line with the themed afternoon tea playing too perhaps?"

"We booked as a family so we could take the children out for tea on New Year's Eve. Booked for 4:45 and we were seated promptly. We have been several times before and loved it and it can get very busy. But this time we were a bit underwhelmed. They were clearly prepping for the nye night time event and we felt in the way, especially as they started shifting tables whilst we were still eating. The table next to us complained about the waiter, but he was fine, to us it was more the general feeling of earlier diners being in the way and not given much appreciation, unless you were regulars, which became obvious. Good food although desert menu typos meant I basically got the same pudding as my partner with one subtle difference, that wasn't good. Will we come again?? It will be while until we do. Shame as I have loved it previously."

"I recently tried the lunch tasting menu at a Peruvian inspired restaurant and was blown away by the fresh and flavorful dishes, especially the perfectly grilled fish. The ceviche, tuna tostadas, and grilled sea bream were delicious highlights of the meal. The dessert was tasty but a bit too sweet for my taste, though the banana sorbet was a hit. The price for the tasting menu was reasonable considering the high quality of the food and cooking. The service was efficient and the staff were friendly and attentive. I also appreciated the convenience of being able to pay the bill through a mobile payment platform. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for top-notch Peruvian seafood dishes."

"The service was good, and the food was also nice. They managed to bring us to the winter garden, which was sunny and filled with plants. You have an extensive wine list. We had the French rosé, which was very light and fruity. It was Sunday, so we all got the lamb roast, no complaints and clean plates from all.. The lamb melted in the mouth and all trimmings were well cooked. To finish we had Tiramisu, strawberry cheesecake and the chocolate maki, the Maki was the most favorite was a little hard, the other two were light, smooth and tasty."

"The anglers rest is a great venue, one of my favourite spots to visit especially in the summer and it brings back great memories for me too as I went to school close by, even though I'm not local it was a place I met my friends who are from the area It has changed hands a couple of times over the years, well at least the food end of it has but in fairness it has always remained consistently good however since wrights took over it has really upped its game. "if they happen to be someone who is freed from the mask during the Covid-19 pandemic, please avoid this caffe. as the only food outlet in the park it should be ideal to take a takeaway coffee. but they have to go in. to order. I tried to do this today, first clear that I was masked free and entered a ok of a beautiful employee. I ordered the coffee, went outside to wait, went back to collect and pay him, as no one came to me, just to know from a most hostile and rudest member of the staff, which requires to know where my mask was and why I didn't wear it. I regret to buy the coffee now because the contempt and disregard was so annoying and stressful. that's really unnecessary. put them a luke or stand them out where coffee can be ordered and treat them all their customers with equal respect and kind. try to remember that I am also a human with right. this ruined a beautiful morning and let me drink when I walked the road, with my capless coffee, which spilled everywhere on the place. (it was pushing on me without lid, as if I had a bubble plague and had to be chased out of the ast) at least I found hatch coffee in sandycove, so that peace is restored."

"Lovely atmosphere, warm welcoming staff, great service, lovely food. First time visiting and will definitely be going back again. Good value for money. I'm used to high end establishments but The Fish on The Quay didn't disappoint! Went to celebrate mums birthday. Mum can't tolerate any pepper or hot spices, so the salsa verde with the sea bream was left, however, the rest of the meal was fabulous. I had panko herb-crusted salmon. Again extremely tasty and the accompanying salad was truly fantastic! My son had the classic pizza which was much enjoyed. He is quite difficult to please as has high functioning autism. He also felt really comfortable which is a rarity. I think the friendliness of the staff and the pleasant atmosphere helped him to feel safe. Dessert was equally as tasty and very satisfying. Mum was raving about how tasty the ice cream was which came with her peach clafoutis. My treacle tart was amazing! Fantastic evening which will become one of our happy memories after the pandemic year's."

"Sadly we didn’t enjoy our meal as much as we’ve had there previously and it’s not the cheapest place to eat. I had polenta ‘chips’ for a starter and maybe my expectations were too high but I didn’t expect brick like chunks of polenta. The dip was was lovely though. Our main course came out almost immediately after our starter had been taken away. I had the mushroom and chickpea burger with vegan halloumi and chips. I have a suspicion that the chef cooked our mains too early,hence why it came out immediately but sadly the burger was quite sloppy and vegan halloumi was so oily and tasteless and all of the food was warm not hot. It could just be that I was unlucky with the dishes and it was just that I didn’t like what I’d ordered. I would love to see normal cheese (vegetarian options) rather than just lumping vegetarians in with vegans normally not a problem but our meal here tonight just highlighted how having the choice would be nice. I did mention all this to the server. The staff are really lovely here and the service was excellent so it’s a real shame that on this occasion the food let us down."

"For the longest time, I viewed bagels as unsweetened donuts that didn't quite make sense with pastrami and cream cheese. Then I visited the Bagel Factory and voila! They were not donuts at all, but rather the ideal breakfast I had been craving for a while. The great thing about bagels is that they can be enjoyed anywhere. The Bagel Factory always has amazing deals with a cup of coffee ready to go, making it the perfect start to my day."

"We visited on a Sunday lunchtime in early August to celebrate a couple of birthdays. We had booked and were offered a table inside the restaurant (pub? which was all but empty while it was a nice day outside. We asked if we could be seated outside to be able to enjoy the weather and to watch the world go by. We were told very rudely If there 's a table out there then you can eat out there, but you can 't run a tab and you have to order at the bar . We did as we were told, trying to make light of the rudeness. To be fair, it was only one of the staff who had this unfortunate attitude. We ordered drinks at the bar and then our food There 's a 30 minute wait the rude server told us. Dressed Crab, Mussels, and a fish and chips. Turned out there were no mussels left, so we ordered another fish and chips. The food, when it arrive (not as long as 30 minutes was ok, but only ok. My mother 's fish and chips was overdone and dry. Mine was less well cooked, but still rather bland and fish was dry. The whole experience was rather disappointing. We cut our losses and left to eat an ice cream elsewhere. It would hurt any of the staff to crack a smile and perhaps a lesson in manners and customer service wouldn 't go amiss."

"My partner and I were really looking forward to this meal. She mentioned that she hadn't had Chinese food in a while and wanted to satisfy her craving. Unfortunately, this wasn't the right place for it. The food was just average, and while the service was decent, the atmosphere felt lacking since it was a midweek visit. However, when we received the bill, I found it quite excessive for what we had. Overall, it was a bit of an anticlimax and didn't convince me to choose Chinese over a Thai meal."

"We came here for my daughters 16th last July which was amazing and my dads 70th birthday this weekend and had a night to remember. The staff are friendly the food was delicious plentiful but what really made the night was the DJ and his music. I love the birthday sing along tradition here and the photos taken of the night. "Amazing service and awesome meal!!! So pretty with all of the flowers! My gin and tonic could have had a lime and lemon. The meal deal for two could have had a little better selection of sushi but overall if I lived in Manchester I bet it would be on of my regular places to eat!!! "For some reason we received no service, wait staff just ignored our location, and we had to wait extremely long to order, be served, and pay. It was over an hour after ordering that we received our starter. In addition, the ordinary menu was replaced by an expensive and unnecessary, enforced set menu, with no notice of this when we booked. On that set menu was a dessert, which were told after we had ordered and eaten the first two courses, would cost extra. The menu didn't list a separate price for the dessert at all and heavily implied was part of the package."
