"mic feelings about this. was located on others who are good, but here they seemed very unorganized and slow. what I ordered was not available and with limited Veggie options I felt hastily to get something. Eating was okay, but nothing special. they have a small thing wrong (wrong type of chips) for a hospitable, but nothing big. the cost was appropriate. would not be my first choice to go back, but would not exclude it either."

"another wonderful evening here with family. that never disappoints. the filet steak boiled medium rare is a firm favorite of me. the rest of my family loved their chicken burgers and mixed grills. the appetizers were again amazing, I had the chicken warm wings and the rest of my family had the baked camembert, broth board, calamari and tomaten and mozzarella salat. the staff above all the woman who greeted us and the lady who took my call when we held in traffic and delayed, were especially beautiful, understanding and friendly. we also had a really nice waitress who served us from the main course. we would definitely come back here and recommend it."

"We booked The Hope for a family get together, it's really close to Central Station therefore it was convenient for everyone to meet there for lunch! When I was looking in to booking something for us I checked the website and it said the pub was family friendly, perfect as we were bringing our wee boy! Disappointed however when we were ordering food to discover that there was no children's menu! The staff serving our table were very nice and although a bit slow in getting the food orders they were on hand to take our drinks orders right away! The food was nice, nothing to write home about but a good meal none the less! One waitress in particular was very helpful with our wee boy, regularly checking to see if she could get him a drink and asking if we wanted his food kept warm while he had a nap! The Hope is a family favourite of ours for its location, it's welcoming staff and a beautiful building too! We will definitely be back, if a children's menu was introduced it would be perfect!"

"I was so excited about bringing my two daughters here the other day as a surprise! We were so disappointed ☹️ it was freezing, apparently only one of the heaters were working where they moved us too, the food was so greasy we couldn’t eat it. My eldest daughter just wanted to go. I tried to cheer them up with taking pictures downstairs, too many people were there, not covid friendly at all. It was so expensive for very little choice when a member of staff I mentioned the food to wasn’t interested. Fab place for pictures maybe drinks later but definitely not for the food!!"

"Lovely, stylish restaurant. Lots of seating with a beautiful rooftop bar. A beautiful place to meet, enjoy cocktails or anything from a wide and varied drinks menu, that like the dining menu, has something for every taste. Food is exquisite. Prepared to an extremely high standard and presented professionally with an unassuming flourish. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. This restaurant is highly recommended. We visited on November 2nd,2023, on foot of a recommendation from a regular patron. We weren't sorry. We enjoyed the dry aged burger, fries, fluffy, light focacia bread and, onion rings. A glass of red Portuguese wine and sparkling water. We didn't finish eating everything, obviously, but it was gorgeous. No service charge, so we left a well deserved tip. "I came away from this restaurant thinking that they do classic Meat and Fish dishes extremely well and with an extra twist. Their T-Bone steak was amazing and so was the catch of the day. Seems like real thought and invention was put into the side plates and they were a real joy; the chippy chips, Halloumi Fries and Peanut Butter Cornbread. I also had a few Cherry Sours which were amazing. We were sat next to the toilets and kind of felt away from the main restaurant and ambience so that's the only minor negative point for me. However the food more more than made up for it."

"We had a dreadful meal on Wednesday before a gig at the Apollo. Asked about allergies and told them, however was then brought food with the allergen in twice. It is an unusual allergy, so gave them a bit of the benefit of the doubt, however service was painfully slow andncertain serving staff were pretty rude (including one staff member spilling water on my friend and not even apologising). My friend's main course then arrived cold, and we did not have time to wait for it to be remade. In fairness, the staff member who brought our bill was very apologetic and took all of the food off the bill, but that didn't make up for the terrible experience and my friend only having a starter in the end. We just wanted to have a decent meal with competent service, but that did not seem to be on the menu."

"We booked to go here for my sister's birthday. They called an hour before the booking to let us know that their bar tenders hadn't come into work and therefore they couldn't do the cocktails. I asked about their bottled drinks and mixers and they said they will still be served, just not the cocktails. When we arrived we were waiting for a minute or two before a host arrived to seat us. When we were seated we waited about 5 10 minutes before a waitress came to take our order we hadn't even been given the menu yet. Afterwards we asked if we could have the bottomless bubbles and we were told we couldn't have that option because of the shortage of bar staff but we were welcome to buy prosecco. I didn't really understand why, and also why we hadn't been told that before, even though I had asked about the drinks. Anyway, the food came, some of the order was wrong, and the food was okay but not worth the price. It was really quiet so no atmosphere at all. Just all round disappointing. Quite nice for some pictures, but that's about it. I doubt we'll return."

"The star rating would be zero if I was able to award. Booked Liverpool Bougee months ago for a 50th birthday, had a 4 hr round trip, tried to call them to discuss allergies for one of the party with no one answering the phone. Saturday arrived and managed to get through to another branch only to find out Liverpool branch was closed. Bougee once again demonstrates contempt for its customers. Absolutely disgusted with this restaurant and will not be booking it again. Would have only taken a phonecall to tell prebooked customers of the closure. Zero stars from me."

"beautiful place to go with friends once. once with friends and a second time with my daughter. would not be back as it now sees and the pictures made. do not eat enough to rush back, although nice enough once. booked second trip table through 'open table' and did not realize that this was for outside seats. when we had escaped sitting person! yuk! and the person I was with was not comfortable with people who walked by and were walking around. server sat us in 'with the last available table that we only have an hour and 30 minutes'. sa near a family with many empty tables around us? No one has occupied them while we were there, so not sure why we were so close to others. platz was not busy when we were gone, so not sure why we got the 1 hour and 30 minutes talking. server were nice and friendly to only do their jobs. the system has made me feel unwilling, will not rush again."

"cat and canary can boast to be the real sportable in canary wharf, unless it is summer or winter sports is always on in summer when weather permits, they set up a tw in the window so that people can sit outside they enjoy the games. in the inner there are 2 LED TVs and a projector screen, quite anywhere they sit, they can not miss the action. they have some good ale and camps on the train and the plates, especially the meat plate it is worth putting up for great sports events such as Olympic or world cups, fine line, davy’s or broodies next to TV screens, but for the year of action there is no other place like cat and canary!"

"every year we come back to lunch. as old retired city chaps this has always kept beautiful memories. Unfortunately, yesterday was a catastrophe. strangely, we had to wash the order from a set menu a few and the story. we had all smoked laughs, which was good. I ordered steak and chips. the steak was ok, but very small, and I counted 7 chips in mine and my friends. a bit dirty green peasant no sneaking offered no sneaking tomato. it was a shame. the service was terrible. I don't think I counted a smile. I asked for more chips and said I don't pay them. my brother had truth. it looked like it had been under warm heating for a long time. the dark flesh was not edible and there was no filling. he complained and they returned with a better looking version. no excuse. oh and the restaurant was just a third full so I still don't know why we had to preorder and how they could supply such a crumbly food. the next cure was cheese, which was already prepared in a refrigerator. three types. and three cookies. my brother's plate was ice cold right from the freezer. totally unacceptable. he changed for Christmas pudding. there were no excuses or something. we'll never do it in that thing. such a shame to see an old clip disappear."

"My experience at the restaurant while watching the NZLvWAL game was not as expected. The staff seemed disorganized, with only two servers taking orders while the rest stood behind the bar. It took 30 minutes to get our coffees and another 15 minutes for our food, which was disappointing. Despite a promising menu, the dishes were mediocre. When I mentioned the long wait to the manager, they blamed it on being busy. However, considering they opened early for the Rugby World Cup, it shouldn't have been a surprise. It's a shame because the setup with the screens was great."

"I was surprised to receive a text while en route to the restaurant stating that my table, reserved for 6:30 PM, would be needed again at 8 PM. Having to finish an expensive meal in just an hour and a half is quite disappointing! Fortunately, the restaurant was quiet on Wednesday evening, with only five tables occupied. However, given these conditions, we won't be returning. When I made the reservation, there was no indication of any time limit on our table."
