"Outrageous expensive Sandwich and fries. Ordered as per request from QR code on the table. I ordered tomato and cheese with fries and a pint of Camden. What arrives was a very sorrowful thin granary sandwich with what looked liked ready made chive and cheese mush. Then to be told the QR code was wrong for this pub and they guessed , did it have Camden so offered Peroni. My wife had fish fingers on Brioche with chips in included at £10.95 far more value than the miserable wrong sandwich that was supplied at £8.45 plus fries at £3.95. The more I write the more angrier I find myself. The staff apologised that it was the system. As one has already paid via the QR code, you have already paid your money before seeing the food. Absolute miserable, far better value down the road at the riverside cafe in Bensons, much better place and food value excellent. This is an outrageous ripoff for this sandwich. I should also add that the Bill you are invoiced by Email doesn’t add up. It’s beyond me no matter how I interpret the vat on drinks and food which were both matched as 20%. Avoid there are far better value places. Maybe if my dissatisfaction at the time that I shared with the waiters was not so care freely ignored and unaddressed I could have been placated. That being said if the right sandwich had turned up it probably would have been woefully miserable . Food drinks: Outrageous expensive Sandwich and fries. "Our first venture in since the new menu was introduced. A warm welcome from Brian who showed us to our table put us at our ease. He explained she that would be over to take our drinks order, and Sophie would be looking after us throughout our meal. we have a difficult time choosing from the menu as it had all our favourites. We picked the creamy mushrooms and the duck and orange pâté for our starters. I was going to have a roast, as it sounded delicious, but I was tempted away by the sharing platter of prawns, sticky chicken, lamb koftas with humus, tzatziki and flatbread. The food duly arrived, beautifully presented with pretty edible flowers. The pâté was smooth and tasty, and the toasted bread with it was delicious. The button mushrooms were in a rich creamy buttery sauce on a slice of toast. Main courses were a triumph, brought to the table by Tom, a very pleasant young man : roast sirloin of beef, a trio with beef pork and turkey accompanied by all the trimmings, and my mixed platter.Every single element was perfect from Yorkshire puddings and bacon wrapped stuffing, to the al dente broccoli, French beans, roasted parsnips carrots and potatoes, and cauliflower cheese. All irresistible and cooked to perfection, compliments to Joe, the chef. We had a breather with a coffee, then forced ourselves to choose a pudding, a tricky task as they were all so tempting, and we plumped for strawberry trifle with extra custard and raspberry sorbet I loved Sophie, she didn’t say no to anything! double chocolate brownie, and the phenomenal mango pavlova, the prettiest dessert I’d ever seen. Happily they all exceeded our expectations with their tastes and flavours. The pink and white swirled meringue in the pavlova was flavoured with a zingy fruity flavour which was a delicious surprise to me, and the best meringue I’ve ever had. Overall, we were delighted with our visit, and we’ve rebooked for next week already."

"We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation but were able to be seated. We found the food to be of higher quality compared to Pizza Express, which we used as a benchmark. The boys enjoyed their squid starter, while I always love the tomato brushetta. We also ordered mixed olives, which came in a tasty garlic herb dressing. For our main courses, the boys had a chicken burger and pepperoni pizza, both of which were generous portions. I opted for the pumpkin, ricotta, and crispy sage leaves ravioli, which was handmade and absolutely delicious. However, I wish the portion size had been larger or that it could have been offered as a starter for a lower price. The dish reminded me of a similar one at Watson and Walpole in Framlingham, but was much more affordable. We all ordered cokes, which were served with ice and lemon. The only thing missing was the chili oil that we used to find on the tables, which the boys requested for their pizza. We decided to skip dessert as we found the prices to be a bit high for the portion sizes, especially without a voucher and on a Saturday when there was no set menu offered. The service was decent, although one of the waitresses was quite loud when shouting orders across the restaurant, making the atmosphere a bit less relaxing. Instead, we opted to enjoy pastries, cakes, and coffee at H&H Honey and Harvey in Woodbridge, where I highly recommend the almond croissant."
