"We had a takeaway a few weeks ago and it was amazing but tonight it was awful. The duck had undercooked skin in the curry, the curry was thin and oily. The pad Thai was odd, never tasted anything like it. Definitely won’t be ordering again, £75 wasted on food that we didn’t eat. Not sure if the chef has changed but we still definitely gone down hill"

"Restaurant was almost empty when we arrived but we were squeezed into a window table. Service is friendly but slow particularly as there were only tables. The food is good, simple. It was a bit odd that they did not have smoked salmon but did not tell us, they served thinly sliced ordinary salmon.When we looked to leave we were kindly offered a free drink as there was going to be comedy on but that seemed odd as there was no one else in the restaurant.I would not hurry back"

"The food at this restaurant is amazing, and the hospitality is welcoming! Some people may be put off by the average setup compared to contemporary standards, but don't let that deter you if you enjoy delicious food. Despite arriving late on a working day with my family, we received excellent service from the staff, including the owner's young son who helped us with our order and questions about allergens. The atmosphere left us with nothing but positive feelings towards the establishment. We were the last ones to leave but will definitely be returning soon with friends and family. I would give it 4.5 stars, but considering the value for money and atmosphere, it's a total winner!"

"I went here with my girlfriend, I was looking for a quiet romantic evening and Sotto Sotto was booked up. I found the staff here very polite, the food was excellent, and the prices very reasonable. I would not hesitate in recommending this place and will be eating there again this week. Note that his is a hidden gem and not too many people know about it judging by the low numbers in the restaurant but that’s how I like it."

"Service was very poor. Drinks on arrival at the bar were served in horrible soft drinks glasses, considering it was Brandy and Vodka drinks we had ordered and not Lime and Soda! The Brandy and Lemonade turned out to be Brandy and fizzy water due to the lemonade running out, so this had to be changed. The bar tender insisted it was lemonade so I suggested she taste it and she confirmed it was actually water. Service was slow for the food too, and when my main meal came it was the wrong meal completely and so had to go back. So I ate alone whilst my friend had finished her meal. Very disappointing because on first impression when we arrived I thought this place feels nice, but then it all went down hill when we ordered our drinks.... Shame."

"Great service here, we were a tad bit early but that wasn't a problem, we were seated and served very quickly and politely. The starter was excellent drinks too were all served quickly. We had a pizza main course which was delicious and well presented. One of us had a dessert as the starter and main was such a generous size. Staff were all pleasant, we left as things were getting busy."

"Booked in advance at Spice Garden Indian Restaurant and was looking forward to an authentic Indian meal. Since it was our first visit, we are not sure what to expect, but it has not disappointed. At first impressions, the interior was very impressive to say the least. We were shown around the bar/restaurant and had a drink while we admire the gardens. We then looked at the menu and it all started to go from there....On the menu there were only 2 Indian meals Chicken Madras and Chicken Masala the authentic Indian meal dream was at the end. We enjoyed our drinks and made polite excuses. The spice Indian garden was definitely short of an Asian starter/dinner, so a Spice Garden restaurant is misleading and disappointing."

"I want to start by mentioning that this restaurant does not have a music license unless you order food. They informed me about this policy after I had already made a reservation. When I arrived, I was pressured to order at least two appetizers or leave. The staff enforced this rule in a very aggressive manner, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. The waitress spoke to me condescendingly and the manager bluntly stated, "You must purchase an appetizer or depart." Why would a restaurant resort to manipulating customers to order more food instead of obtaining a proper license? Are they new to the industry and cannot afford a license? The management did not take responsibility when I expressed my dissatisfaction. The individuals working here are completely unprofessional and should not be in the hospitality industry."

"Went here for our 5 year wedding anniversary meal and had the calamari and sesame prawn toasts for starters, followed by the seafood platter, which was incredible. The friendly and attentive staff went out of their way to make our meal extra special with candles in the platter and a choice of free prosecco or dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Will definitely return the next time we're in Nottingham."

"a delicious and good eating with friendly staff. tapas is included in element-theme pages (with steaks if they don't like to share). our favorite dishes were the bark chili with maisbrot, the crispy mozzarella and the huhn satay. we were not so big fans of the beetroot and goat cheese sushi and found the chorizo and cheese croquetta delicious, but the taste overwhelmed the other foods. we had dishes that were too much (the employees had recommended everyone what would have been perfect, we were hungry/great after that we pumped next door for a beautiful cocktail in libertines. the restaurant is really recommended."

"I wish I could give zero. As frequent customers via Deliveroo (mentioned on our receipt), tonight a whole main dish (of 2) was completely missing. We reported on Deliveroo but also rang the restaurant, who, after answering the phone and leaving me on hold for a long time, told me the food had been in the bag and to speak to the Deliveroo driver inferring that he had taken the food. As I explained, the bag was sealed and if/when it is opened, the bag tears so as it had not, they clearly had not included the dish. They offered a refund but I still needed dinner? They were not interested. We have now had to pay premium delivery, again, for the missing dish. To be clear, I do not believe this is a Deliveroo issue, the response received from Prezzo was disgusting, they simply did not care."

"Our experience at Heritage was disappointing.The food was underwhelming no more special than what I could have made at home and portions are small for the price, even considering it's small plates e.g. the pan fried seabass literally one fillet of seabass, no garnish or sauce or anything, with the skin not even crispy, for £9. Hot chicken wings just seemed to be caked in chilli paste, not much flavour, only heat. The taste of the beef burger reminded me of a cheap burger from a van but for a whopping £10, not including fries!Thank god we went during the 50% off all food in January offer, otherwise I would be feeling thoroughly ripped off.The service was poor. Tables around us took over an hour to be cleared after customers left, which made the ambience unpleasant. Staff did not check on us during our meal, or ask if we wanted sauces etc. Staff were more interested in chatting to their friends than providing good service.Cocktails were nice but that won't be enough to bring us back to an establishment that really doesn't put any care or love into their food."

"The staff at Bears are very welcoming and will always try and find you a table, but they are very popular and I would strongly advise booking in advance. Open Table took a late booking for lunch the next day and all worked smoothly. There is a real variety of food to choose from, from the modern avocado and sourdough toast to chicken livers. Something for everyone. Our group had the buttermilk chicken burger and the couscous halloumi salad. All came with lovely salad garnish, properly vibrant and fresh. We were there for well over 2 hours for a birthday lunch and at no point did we feel rushed. I’m going back in a few weeks for another birthday lunch. But do book first."

"The restaurant is a great spot to enjoy a meal and some drinks. I tried the vegetable lasagna with chips, which was served in a generous portion size. My friends ordered the fish and chips, which were also delicious. The restaurant tends to be busy during lunch and after work hours. The staff and atmosphere are very welcoming. You can easily open a bar tab if needed. The restaurant is spacious and has a new "Barwick Room" that can be reserved for private events and parties."

"I had to pull a waiter over after been seated for 15 minutes to ask if we could order as I hadn’t even ordered a drink at this point. I ordered all the drinks and food at the same time as I didn’t know how long it was going to take. Two people that were seated after us got their drinks and food way before us. Food was ok but not worth the menu prices. I had the New York strip steak which came well done even though I asked for medium rare. The mash had skin in it which I don’t know if it was supposed to but I found the taste of the skin overpowering. The veg was watery which then made the rest of the food watery. I got the Bangkok shrimp with my meal but couldn’t taste shrimp it was just like crispy breadcrumbs. It had a sweet taste which didn’t compliment the rest of the food. To be honest the whole meal tasted plain and like something I would expect in a Wetherspoon. No flavour. My son had the pasta which was a very very small portion and the marinara sauce which we asked to be served on the side was freezing cold like it hadn’t been heated at all, it had just come out of the fridge and I think they must of forgotten to heat it. The sundae was massive and the only reason I have given a average for the food and not a poor rating. Last time we ate here it was lovely. The waiter seemed to pay more attention filling up the glasses of the people having brunch. I got charged a 13.5 service charge too which I wouldn’t of paid if it wasn’t added to the bill. I would of sent the food back but the rate we were being served I thought we’d be there all night if I had done that. All in all I was disappointed"
