"Ultra-pleasant neighbourhood spot on a quiet street with excellent food, attentive service, and a well-crafted wine list. It’s also the sister to Trinity, the Michelin-starred spot in Clapham Old Town. Both restaurants are helmed by Chef Adam Byatt. Bistro Union is a gem. It’s super comfortable — the kind of place you could happily settle in for an afternoon, as the gang in the bar were doing on the day we visited. There’s a straightforward menu of things that you’ll want to eat. You can go traditional — starter, main, dessert — or mix and match plates to share from snacks to bigger stuff. It’s flexible enough to fit any mood or occasion. We went a bit wild and did both. Snacks included delicious comté gougères and brown crab arancini. Homemade bread and whipped butter was so good that we asked for a second round. For starter, the chicken liver foie gras parfait was Michelin quality, and the burrata la latteria with romanesco and chilli was like a bowlful of spring. Mains were rabbit in mustard sauce and duck confit. Both were perfectly done. The rabbit falling off the bone and the mustard sauce well balanced with sharpness and creaminess. We were too full for dessert. But Bistro Union really delivered — with fantastic bistro-style food and in bringing us together over their delicious dishes."

"We got to the door of SHE, the bouncer saw what she assumed was a female and a male, and refused entry. Absolutely shocking behaviour, in all places where one should feel safe and accepted, the bouncer was not accepting of us. We were two white people, who knows if it were different if we were not. Shocking, humiliating, and actually rather disgusting. I only hope this bar hires more accepting people without stigma’s, it completely ruined the experience of Soho, and an iconic bar like that should know better. Not fair, not right, absolute prejudice. The surrounding bars were far more accepting, and that pains me writing that, as I had high hopes. I’ve seen men inside SHE before, having a great time, but this was an absolute abuse of power from a unjust door person."

"We were looking for a nice spot to fine alfresco on a Sunday afternoon and fell upon aubaine. We wish we hadn't. Boring menu, terrible value for money and appalling service. Normally I would avoid a french restaurant at all costs in order to avoid the typical snooty know it all french waiter. As it was a sunday, the sun was shining and the place was hiving I thought well let's give it a try. We waited 20 minutes for a menu. Another 10 for the wine menu and then to top it all the snooty French waiter arrived. I asked if the entrecôte was fatty, the response was it depends on the piece When asked how I wanted it cooked I said well done on the outside and pink in the middle. so you...read more"

"Brunello is a wonderful restaurant, the food was exceptional, the service was amazing, the staff were always there, very helpful, the cocktails we're really good, the bruschetta which they served was so tasty, you could have easily eaten a whole lot of them, the fresh bread and olive oil they serve is really good, minestrone soup was ok, tiny bit bland for my liking, the seared tuna was cooked perfection, the lamb main which had a little truffle on the inside of the potato was quiet good, lamb was cooked to a medium perfectly, the veal Milanese was really nice also. menu has a good amount to choose from, lots of starters to choose from, different types of pasta to choose from, a choice of main courses also, was too full for dessert but the dessert menu looked really tasty, would recommend going here, little pricey, but worth it"

"Went for lunch with my husband on 28th sept at 1pm, we were the only people in there...we have been to Belgos about 10 times always loved it but this visit has put me off !!! The only waitress was the rudest person I have ever met, tutting at me giving me dirty looks, I was too nervous to ask for another drink or even black pepper for my main. The food was very average, calamari was soggy (not cooked with any attention) it Spoilt a lovely afternoon out. Then the bill came and the service charge of £7.38 was added to our bill, we reluctantly paid it because I didn’t want the confrontation with the rude waitress and we just wanted to get out of there !!! I would like to add we are big tippers and will always tip more than there service charge.... but to be treated like we were an inconvenience was so discusting. Half way through our meal we were rudely told Not to go fir a cigarette break coz the food was on its way, we waited another 15 mins without our food so we got up and went for a cigarette, then on our return also waited further for our main to be served. We love the Belgium beers and like the experience of the bar tender to advise on different tastes but this was not possible with this waitress she was impossible, lazy and so unprofessional."

"I used to come here regularly with my family in the 90s 00s. In those days it 's wasn 't particularly expensive, just hard to get a table. Pre Covid I 'd visit two or three times a year for a treat and we were always made to feel special. We decided to treat ourselves again in early January to ward off the blues. If it didn 't have the 'brand ' attached I 'd have felt it was a very average restaurant. The front of house staff were rude (not quite as bad as the ones at The Ivy Chelsea Garden but close) and passive aggressive. It was very busy at the front desk and I suspect the blockage was the wait staff not getting tables ready quickly enough. However, it was stupid to take it out on the people who 've just arrived. Then our waiter was a bit dippy. Very unusual for The Ivy. One eg he let both our glasses of wine empty and it took ages to flag someone down to fill them up (I 'm quite happy to do it myself but didn 't know where our wine was). Then the bloke who filled mine up wasn 't listening when I twice said 'that 's enough thank you ' so I had a large beaker of white wine to get down before it got warm. Also one of the loo seats in the ladies loo was completely detached. I daresay they are all knackered from a busy festive season or had a lot of agency staff on. But it 's not what it was and no longer value for money."

"We visited the Lion Key Hotel before the Ride100 event, and we had heard great things about it. The experience exceeded our expectations. The food was fresh, creative, and absolutely fantastic, all at a very reasonable price. The service was personal, friendly, and attentive. The decor was lovely, creating a wonderful atmosphere that helped us relax and calm our nerves before the race. We will definitely come back!"

"Delicious! Had a great evening here with friends. Food is lovely, but as the only vegan at our table I was disappointed in the the falafel main as the dish was just falafel and hummus. Would of been nice to have more salad, or even some rice or chips to make it into a meal! Restaurant was empty when we went, we weren't in any rush but the service was particularly slow."

"We booked a table for 7 people and this was no problem as the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, albeit at 6pm on a Tuesday evening. This was just as well because any busier and the background noise and the load music would have made discussions very difficult. We had a few issues understanding the waiter as he had a rather impenetrable accent but despite a few mix-ups over side dishes, overall the service was good. Many of us availed of the discounted steak and it was OK, nothing special. Happy to go again but only because it is near the office."

"For some reason we received no service, wait staff just ignored our location, and we had to wait extremely long to order, be served, and pay. It was over an hour after ordering that we received our starter. In addition, the ordinary menu was replaced by an expensive and unnecessary, enforced set menu, with no notice of this when we booked. On that set menu was a dessert, which were told after we had ordered and eaten the first two courses, would cost extra. The menu didn't list a separate price for the dessert at all and heavily implied was part of the package."

"A nice restaurant and well worth a visit while are at the garden centre which is also excellent. A fairly good selection of main meals and light lunches. I have rarely experienced any issues with the availability of menu items and have always been informed of issues when being seated. The burger is good value and with chips makes a main meal."

"Sunday lunch was underwhelming the veggie stack resembled a sad vegetarian burger patty with overcooked vegetables and the chocolate fondant was more like a dry sponge. Wouldn 't be surprised if it was all defrosted in the microwave. Service was a well intentioned but calamitous performance by uninterested and under trained staff. The ambience was raucous. It was, however, cheap; you get what you pay for, I guess. Would not return nor recommend."

"Victors have changed it is more like a tapas style restaurant where dishes arrive at different time. Just very unorganised some people in the party received their food 30 minutes after the rest of the party had finished. Waitress was nice and very pleasant but the kitchen were unable to accommodate any slight change to a dish. Wouldn’t go back or recommend."

"I was here on a Saturday evening around 8 o'clock. Perhaps not the best time to review a cafe/brasserie, however, it wasn't busy so there really wasn't any excuse to my mind as to the poor quality of the food. I had the cod filet, which as it turns out, wasn't a filet at all. My partner-in-crime had the lamb which I think was sufficiently satisfying. He didn't comment on the quality, so I'm guessing that it wasn't exceptional. My dish however was absolutely horrendous. To start the fish was floating in a layer of olive oil, something that I just don't find appealing. If the oil comes halfway up the fish, I'm not a happy camper. Then, the filet was not a filet. It was a full fish, with massive amounts of bones. I didn't expect bones, and they were everywhere. In the first bite, and I take small bites, I had three bones big enough that I had to remove them. To give some credit where credit is due, since I didn't eat the fish, just the grilled-to-mush vegetables that it came with (also schlumping around in oil) we didn't have to pay for the fish. But the waitress made such a big deal out of it that it was incredibly awkward. All-in-all? Poor service, poor food, and screaming babies on a Saturday. Lovely, enjoy."

"The Waitresses and staff don’t shower. They come into work unshowered. I don’t like my food handled by unshowered staff members. How do I know? You know a person is umshowered when you look at them. They look stale. They touch their faces. Scratch their faces. Rub all the matter from their eyes. Never wash their hands and serve hot drinks, juices and food. I pin pointed it to the girl and she said oh she washed her hands after rubbing her eyes. But I was seated in front of her and she didn’t. She spied to the rest of beverage makers behind the counter. One by one stared at me, trying to be discreet. And starred at them hard, to make it known I was being gossiped about. That is my go to place to unwind and relax. Only if the waitresses shower before showing up for work."

"My friend really enjoyed their burger, but the spicy chicken wings I ordered were quite disappointing. They had a kind of stale taste, as if they'd been fried once and then fried again. I'm not sure what the issue was, but they didn't meet my expectations, especially considering the price. The chips were decent, though. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and there was a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages."
"We arrived five minutes after their 9am opening time and were greeted with the comment ‘sorry, we don’t have any milk at the moment’. We agreed that we would, have coffee without milk as we were in s bit of a hurry. The breakfast was mediocre, brittle toast clearly from yesterday’s bread, one half rasher of bacon £1.50 as an extra with scrambled egg, eggs benedict with bright yellow glutinous hollandaise sauce and grey ham…They were clearly having a bad day, and so were we. Having been to this Cafs Rouge the day it opened, this was a huge let down."

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Staff are rude and food no good for how much it cost. When receiving my food it came cold and small portion for £16. Small tiny piece of chicken smothered in sauce which was cold. Onion rings were nice. Ordered Mac n cheese as a side which was watery and disgusting! (My daughter wouldn’t even eat it and she loves mac cheese) Looked like the food has come from a microwave meal and just heated up. When speaking to the girl behind the bar saying that the chicken is cold on both meals she was rude and said ‘it can’t be it’s just come from the kitchen’ it was cold. When asking for a refund I was told that they can heat it back up or make another one which I didn’t want I just asked for a refund instead. I showed her the food and put my finger in the chicken to show it’s cold the girl said now she won’t take it back for a refund as I’ve put my finger in it. I’m sorry but I paid for the meal I will put my finger in it if I want to. Then she started saying again she will heat it up. I said no thanks I will have a refund instead please. I told her I’m the customer if I’m saying the food is cold and I don’t want it re heated up and I would like a refund that should be done instead of trying to tell me that she will heat it back up and that I’m lieing to say the food is cold. Was greeted by another worker that asked what the problem was I told her that the 2 main meals are both cold and I would like a refund please and she sorted it out straight away apologising for the other lady’s attitude. I’ve never been to Camden before and I certainly won’t be retuning here again. Bad customer service and rude staff and overpriced micro meals!! Disgusting."
