"Sister to Trinity restaurant in Clapham Old Town Bistrot Union is, I think, the longest standing of the small cluster of restaurants in the more sedate Abbeville Road. There was, until recently, a set lunch and dinner menu, but much of its contents have been transpose to what is a more flexible a la carte. Hence we chose a couple of snacks rather than starters before our mains and shared a dessert. All were superb. Comte Gougeres were more-ish cheesy croquettes which complimented nicely crab pate on a brioche. Our mains both featured pork, one a boiled Montbeliard sausage with puy lentils; the other a sliced pork loin chop with choucroute and carrots. A shared slightly salty basque style cheesecake concluded matters poignantly."

I'm a huge fan of Bistro Union's sister restaurant Trinity.Chef Adam Byatt has gone for a neighbourhood bistro feel with his new venture.

Fabulous Easter Sunday lunch the best roast beef I’ve had in a decade. We went with my mum (90), me and my two sons. We had a variety of food and there was something for everyone. Delicious whiskey and malt ice creams and great coffee.

Lovely staff, delicious food and great atmosphere. We had tried several times to get a table and we finally managed to book with another couple. We loved the starters and all had lobster as main, simply delicious!!! The passion fruit with Prosecco sorbet was surreal. We will come back

Such a lovely place with a lovely atmosphere. Food was lovely too. I would recommend the plaice which was to die for. Penelope was the lady who looked after us and was funny, chatty and professional. Overall, my wife and I would go back there. Plus there is free parking onnthe street after 6.30pm. View menu

Only one vegetarian dish (bean soup) and partner's duck was dry Have been going for 20 years. Used to love the fish pie. Menu of the day had lobster but you weren't allowed to choose the lobster ; you had to have all three menu of the day courses which is a bit puzzling. However it is a nice place to sit and we had a pleasant waiter.

The staff as usual are attentive and knowledgeable, but sadly the food last night was woefully disappointing. 1 Small starter, I small plate, trevisse risotto and chicken and carafe of wine Β£158! Neither of us finished our mains, as chicken was flavourless and trevisse risotto was so tough I couldn’t cut it. Due to a wine pairing evening going on too the service was very late, 1.5 hours for the mains. Sorry but too expensive for me to return.
