"The service was impeccable from start to finish. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to our needs, and made great recommendations. "Unfortunately, our recent dining experience was not pleasant. The staff welcomed us warmly and the service was quick, but that was the extent of the positives. We ordered papadums and pickles as starters, which were delicious. However, the actual starters were small and tasteless, prompting us to not finish them. The main dishes were also small in portion size and lacked flavor, especially the jalfrezi. The bill came as a surprise, with the meal not offering good value for money. Despite being asked if we had a voucher, we will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. We believe there are much better Indian restaurants in town, such as Golden Gate, Dilshad, and Masala Lounge, which offer tastier food at better prices. Overall, it was not a satisfying dining experience with our friends."

"We arrived at 6.30pm on Tuesday 11th February, there were two on service, and we were shown to our table and drinks arrived later. It was very quiet with only about 8 other guests, mainly single diners. We ordered a garlic pizza to go with our drinks and when it arrived at about 7pm it was cold and soggy. We then waited and waited for our main course which finally arrived at about 8pm. My wife, who doesn't usually complain, said to me this is cold; she was having some sort of steak dish. I then tried mine which was also cold. The fried chicken was very clearly a piece of warmed up cold chicken, which had gone cold again, also the salad which was meant to be warm was cold. I called for the waitress and explained the problem. I said that I wished to send it back and did not want a replacement. She offered the same to my wife, but she opted to eat hers. From then on I am afraid that the staff seemed to avoid us. When we were ready to go to pay our bill, the waiter said that he understood that we had had a problem with our meal. I explained our dissatisfaction and he asked whether I wanted him to go and see the manager. I was rather appalled at this. There was no real apology and if he had been really customer friendly, I would have expected him to have sorted it all out before we came to pay. I said no, paid the full bill and departed feeling very dissatisfied. I don't know whether we had hit a bad night but I couldn't recommend this eating place to anyone."

"We recently dined at the Rudgleigh Inn Steakhouse for the first time, and we were extremely impressed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, with a great selection on the menu. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of high-quality food and drinks in a cozy setting, rather than a typical pub that also offers food. "We decided to visit this restaurant with our friends because it is local to us, we have been there before and had good food and we love Italian food. We arrived on what we thought would be a busy evening due to a local international air show. When we got into the restaurant it was very quiet but didn't think much of it. Then we looked at the menu and was shocked as to the changes that had been made as there was only a couple of things on there that would be classified as Italian it was mainly Asian/Eastern food. We were somewhat confused and quizzed the waitress as to where the Italian choices had gone and she advised that the menu had been changed. The choices for the 4 of us were vegi skewers, beef skewers, burger and meatballs. The food was cooked well and tasted good but the restaurant seems to currently have an identity crisis with an Italian name and stating italian restaurant on the front of the menu but very little Italian food choices. Also it was very quiet for a Saturday night, no atmosphere and the waitresses seemed to rush us a little in order that they could close up. I would not recommend this restaurant at the moment until the menu changes."

"Where to start! Firstly i cant blame the White Horse at all . It was a Greek establishment that took over the kitchen for the night! We sat down at 7pm to be told a list of items that were not on the original menu! Including Moussaka! We were the first table to order! So we went to order three Pastitio . We were told there were only three! The food was so Salty! Chops were inedible due to saltiness. £12 for an undercooked gyro is too much . Come on The White Horse ditch the Greek this is not up to your standards At all !"

"I wrote a fab review after a great takeaway in August. We had another in September. It was not good, Monday evening order. Not always the best day of the week to order. We didn 't want to negatively review just one of those things. Ordered last night. 2 Poppadoms with a sad few slices of wet lettuce, one slice of cucumber, one eighth of a tomato, no onion. We had to chop our own. Onion bahjis were a no show. Phoned that they 'd been missed, we had no starter. We 'll refund you ? Oh, thanks!!! That really does complete the meal experience. Main curry dish was OK, but lacking, severely lacking in taste or care. Sorry, we 've given you two chances after a great experience we 'll buy elsewhere."

"Decided to order from here for the first time but unfortunately this will be the last time. I ordered the pizzas online and I selected the double deal and a separate margarita, onion rings and chips. The ordering process was quiet a breeze. Once you placed the order you were sent an email to confirm your order. From ordering to receiving my delivery I waited around 45 minutes which was reasonable. When the food arrived it was pipping hot and this is where the whole experience let us down. The pizzas didn’t not live up to the service we received. They tasted bland and two pizzas tasted exactly the same. We ordered the Beefy One and the Donar pizza and a margarita with extra toppings. Unfortunately they all did not meet our standards with the taste. The dough was stodgy and lacked any seasoning and the toppings unfortunately were very bland. The chips were part undercooked and part overcooked. The onion rings were overcooked and the wings just needed a few more minutes then I think they would of tasted better. We spent £40 on the food and they have fabulous deals. It is such a shame as the ordering service was so easy but the taste of the food let us down so therefore we won’t be ordering from here again."

"Stumbled across this little gem of a restaurant whilst not really knowing what I wanted for lunch, so glad I did as everything about it was absolutely amazing.. the staff are so friendly and the service is impeccable. "We ordered our meal from a restaurant on Just Eat and were surprised by the high prices. We were also disappointed to find that when we requested no sauce on our dish, it meant there was nothing between the bread and toppings. The biggest letdown was when we received a text immediately after placing our order, informing us that it would be significantly delayed. It seems like the restaurant should have known about this beforehand. To make up for the inconvenience, we received an extra pizza that we didn't order, which was a nice gesture. The pizza was decent, even without the sauce, and the kebabs we ordered were tasty. Overall, we suggest the restaurant lower their prices and improve their delivery time estimates."

"We were in JAM in Sir Thomas Street, Liverpool now twice had promptly, friendly service in clean, bright environment. The coffee specialities are very welcome. 5 of 6 of us were vegetarian, we had a fairly limited choice, so one of us was disappointed that they would run out of Veggi Burger! She chose salad that was ok, but not ideal, chips that quickly disappeared! The Mushroom Risotto was really good. Two salmon table cakes as starter at about £5.50) seemed positively generous when compared to a very small goat cheese tartlet a handful of rocket salad as main £12 50) I wonder if the cook feeds for a day full of work?! Good work there was a pot of new potatoes. Only 1 x dessert ordered a veritable plate of bread butter pudding, on a rubbery black substance on top no evidence for even 1 stream or Sultana, neither the white chocolate on the menu promised. I don't eat Custard would like to have given some options. 2 x v. cold, hard strawberries did not do well. A mixed review, therefore we like your establishment some of the foods that requires some beautiful tweaking. The service was great, both from the kitchen at the table. We will take into account hope that our feedback that helps others make the necessary difference. P.S. I have submitted an application to your main office for parking information; it has never happened before, although I said that the one forum review mentioned some good parking nearby, but just don't say where!"

"Called in for a drink after a walk round Jumbles Country Park. Was extremely impressed! The loos were immaculate and hand lotion provided. Bought soft drinks, tea and coffee and sat outside. There are both smoking and non smoking seating areas outside. The inside of the Crofters is lovely! Very well decorated and very stylish. We had a look at the menu and it contains a wide variety all at reasonable prices. Will definitely return for a meal in the near future. Staff were lovely, pleasant, polite and helpful."

"Authentic Italian in downtown Glasgow. They took our party quickly on a busy night without a reservation. The service was attentive through a group effort. The food was delicious and truly authentic. The minestrone soup was perfect. Fresh vegetables, served hot, with just the right amount of salt. The slices of haggis and black pudding was surprisingly tasty for my first time. Don’t ask what it is made of, just try it and you will find an unusual, but pleasant flavor and texture. The medallion of veal fillet alla Milanese was a tender, hearty portion of veal pounded thin, coated in light breading, and served hot. Delicious from the first bite to the last. The table next to me ordered the lyonnaise potatoes and they looked so good I had to order them as well. They were superb and tasted as good as they looked. Welcoming, charming place with more than reasonable pricing especially on the alcohol. Must visit if you like Italian."

"We came to Birmingham for the Photography Show, which was sadly cancelled due to fears over the corona virus. Undaunted, we went ahead with our plans to find a really great Greek restaurant and wow! didn’t that go well! Ulysses serves authentic Greek food that...is really well cooked. We chose traditional dishes that include ingredients such as garlic, cinnamon, oregano and olive oil, all of which are good for health. A truly fantastic meal! Sadly, due to fears over the virus, it seems that few people are venturing out the restaurant was extremely quiet. We had a wonderful meal and an interesting chat to the proprietor where we put the world to rights. We plan to return to Birmingham next year and we will definitely return to Ulysses. I hope everyone who reads this will support independent businesses like this. Don’t risk losing such gems."

"Having booked a table by telephone just a little while earlier one evening recently we arrived on foot to be courteously greeted and lead to our table. My sister, who lives in the village, had always assumed that this was a small place. How wrong she was. There was more than enough space for many diners. Any way, after ordering our drinks, mine being a chilled Kingfisher beer in a beautiful glass, I ordered onion bhajis as a starter and the garlic chicken curry prepared at the heat of a vindaloo at my crazy request. And it was spicy hot. Just the way I like it. Throughout the menu we were served by very friendly and efficient waiters and we left fully satisfied. In fact, my sister and her partner were so pleased that, after I had moved on to my next destination, they returned for a repeat performance."
