"Unfortunately, our recent dining experience was not pleasant. The staff welcomed us warmly and the service was quick, but that was the extent of the positives. We ordered papadums and pickles as starters, which were delicious. However, the actual starters were small and tasteless, prompting us to not finish them. The main dishes were also small in portion size and lacked flavor, especially the jalfrezi. The bill came as a surprise, with the meal not offering good value for money. Despite being asked if we had a voucher, we will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. We believe there are much better Indian restaurants in town, such as Golden Gate, Dilshad, and Masala Lounge, which offer tastier food at better prices. Overall, it was not a satisfying dining experience with our friends."

I absolutely adore this restaurant. The food is fantastic, the service is top-notch, and there isn't much else to add except that I highly recommend it if you haven't been before!

Spices recently helped us with a birthday party for offering an informal dining area and buffet of our choice. The team couldn’t have been more helpful and the food and service were great. Just what we were looking for. Thank You. View menu

Booked a table for Welcoming Clean Warm Frendly staff The food was good didn't have a kick the madras wasn't very spicy. It just didn't do it for me if you like Indian food but not the spice definitely give it ago. I would...try again as the meat was a good quality. The prices was very good.

I had a great meal during my business trip at this restaurant! My clients were pleased with the quality of the food as well. The mixed grill with sauce was a delicious choice. And they even had Cobra beer on tap! This is simply the best Indian restaurant in Teesside. Can't wait to come back soon!

Visited here tonight with my husband and two young children. Our food arrived piping hot, presented well and it tasted amazing. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we entered, staff were friendly and attentive (but not over the top) a...great evening had by all and we would definitely come back here for a meal when visiting Hartlepool again. I can certainly recommend Spices on the Marina. The service was excellent and quick. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to be of assistance. The food was served quickly and was very good and delicious. The interior of the restaurant was...clean, light and airy. It was a pleasure just to sit here. Top marks for the food and the service

Went here with the wife one cold Saturday night in November, the place was quiet but probably due to the bad weather. Food was all nice enough, not the best that we have ever had but certainly no complaints. Staff friendly and a complimentary drink...offered. We had the mixed starter to share and a main each with some rice and a roti. Annoyingly there was a bleeping alarm noise all night which in fairness may be due to the bad weather. The was a flickering light above us which was a faulty LED that made matters worse and to compound the problem towards the end of our meal staff started re arranging furniture near us, I guess in preparation for the following nights buffet. Not the greatest at...

"Unfortunately you can't prebook at this restaurant for groups smaller than persons. So my friends and I arrived just after on a busy friday night and were told there was around a minute wait for a table. We were expecting this...so we went to Wallis and Co for a couple of tasty for cocktails while we waited. hour and minutes later and we still hadn't been called! so went back to the restaurant and again waited to speak to the staff. Apparently they were just about to call us and so we were seated straight away. The staff were all very busy, but we did struggle to flag someone down to place our order and then to ask for more drinks etc. The food arrived quickly though once ordered and I was very impressed with both the quality and quantity of the food! We had ordered dishes each and then a couple more to share between which equals a huge meal! Everything was well cooked and served hot to our table, and everything was delicious. I would definitely return for the food, but just try to choose a less busy night. I love sangria! and was very excited that Casa served it so ordered a full pitcher to myself! Unfortunately it wasn't very good at all and I could only manage to drink about half of it. My friends enjoyed the cocktails though. Bread is brought to the table, which was great to nibble on while we waited for the food as we were all starving at this point! as it was around before we finally ate. The meal was good value at around each, including drinks and around tapas each. I paid more as obviously had a whole pitcher to myself! Pitchers are around each. Colourful jelly beans are brought out with bill. Afterwards we went to The Fuschia Lounge for some amazing Halloween themed cocktails! :"
