"Got told about this ‘fine dining experience’ whilst staying at the hotel so had to give it a go. Took us 5 minutes to be acknowledged even when there were 4 staff at the bar talking to each other. Had to take my name and room number before we were allowed to be seated? Sat down and told someone would be with us to take our drinks order. 10 minutes the same guy arrives and takes our drink order. 5 minutes later returns saying the gas had gone so couldn’t have what I wanted. 10 minutes later drinks arrive and get told someone would take our food order. 15 minutes later the same guy checks back to see if we’ve ordered- we hadn’t- as we start to order two of the items not available. Decided that it probably wasn’t the best place to dine and paid for the drinks and left, no apology only a ‘try the pub they serve all night’. Went to the pub section of the hotel to find they’d stopped service! Service is insane no communication, constantly ignored and staff who haven’t got a clue what they’re doing! Thank god for justeat."

There is ample parking, the inside lobby and dining area was clean and tidy.

Eaten here while stopping at the village hotel and the food was poor when the food came the starters were cold and the mash potato was cold and the rest of the food was lukewarm at best. When you are paying premium prices I expect much better.

Service great. Seated straight away. The staff were very polite and attentive. Summer and the bar staff very nice the starter was unlimited and varied. Followed by a choice of two carved roasts.beef or Turkey with vegetables and Yorkshire puddings. Followed by a choice of desserts. 15 pound per head.definitely will go back

Stayed at the attached hotel whilst away with work. On the positive side the food was good enough and the presentation was the same. The prices are a little high for the standard of food but this is often the case for onsite hotel restaurants. Unfortunately our server didn’t have a lot between the ears. She managed to get something wrong on every course (including the drinks) and we had to ask for the bill on 4 separate occasions. Bit of a shame overall. Could be much better.

Tomato pasta dishes watery slop and no flavour( as though pasta not drained), waited an hour for the starter to arrive , ordered a glass of wine when we arrived , asked a further 2 times for it over 30 mins .. when it still hadn’t arrived , eventually asked for the manager as I got nowhere with the waiter . Asked for a spoon and Parmesan for the pasta waited 20mins and had to ask again .. didn’t eat it in the end it was awful .. partner had meatballs .. they were rock hard and in watery bland tomato sauce. Very disappointing. So many bad reviews but nothing done about it ? Why not ? Reported to the manager that night , along with several other dissatisfied customers .

We stayed at the hotel for a few nights and went for a family meal on the first evening at Buca Di Beppo. The restaurant ambience is fine, lots of interesting pictures and the food is ok if not very warm and a bit overpriced (not unusual at hotels . The part that really lets this place down is the service which is absolutely diabolical. The waitress had no manners and no understanding of the basics of good service. We felt she had no training to help her on what to do (she was trying to remove plates when some people were still eating! . They forgot our toddlers drink dessert and one of the coffees afterwards. Honestly, the worst possible service please train your staff on standards! If you...

Stayed at the village hotel in Blackpool we booked to have dinner in the restaurant. Ordered some starters and we only got one starter served asked for the other starter and the waitress said she would look into it. She never came back with the starter instead came back with the main meal. The burgers were lovely finished and waited for dessert. The kids got their ice cream but we never got the sticky toffee pudding. We asked the staff to cancel the starter and the dessert. Finished dinner and they did not even have any information from the hotel that we had already paid for the dinner when we booked. We had to show them the email to confirm that we paid. Breakfast was lovely and organised h...

Staying overnight at the hotel prior to a Hospital procedure, booked a table for 1800hrs when it opened. The staff were attentive, when it came to the wine list, we hit the same problem again as we did in the bar, the wine list, no Australian or NZ wines. We ordered a Spanish Rioja, we were informed it was not avaliable last one went on the weekend. We ordered an Argentinian wine red Argento, eventually it appeared , with the apology that it came direct from the cellar stone cold. We had ordered our starters, so we left the wine until it got nearly to room temperture in our room and had two Gin and Tonic's as our apertif. The meal was pretty average and a shame because the staff on the floor...

Had buffet breakfast here twice during our stay at the hotel. The Saturday morning was great as we arrived at 8am as it was quiet. On Sunday morning, however there was a queue of at least a dozen people due to a lack of staff meaning tables could not be cleared. During our meal we sat and could see at least 6 tables waiting to be emptied whilst customers waited outside. They also ran out of yoghurts and there was a large queue to use the one slow, unpredictable (bread or burnt) toaster. On both visits the staff were very friendly and helpful but it did seem unclear to us as to who did what role eg who was checking rooms and taking payments, who was serving hot drinks and who was cleaning tab...
