"Found this take away cafe whilst on holiday in the Cotswolds and it was really worth a visit. They have a big range of vegan bagels, baguettes, salads, milkshakes and a also few cakes. We had variations of the smashed avo and vegan halloumi bagels. They were really good and the toast bagels we soft and very good quality. My boy got a vegan chocolate milkshake and having tried it I should have got one too! Great location in the centre of town, and a perfect take away to go and sit by the river with. The two women working there were really friendly and helpful."

"I'm local but for some reason I had never gone in here. I have now been three times. The pizza is legit Italian style and the sandwiches are very tasty. They have lots of cakes and bread too I never tried them but they look very nice and at the end of the day are all gone. Good value for what you get, doesn't feel extortionate at all like a lot of places these days. Everything made fresh. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"We were extremely disappointed with our recent dining experience at this restaurant. Despite having enjoyed meals here in the past, this time was a letdown. The staff seemed to be trying their best, but something was missing. We were repeatedly told that a large order had just been placed, causing delays in getting our own order in. When we finally did order, there was only one special available as a starter. The pasta dish we ordered was not appetizing at all, with hard and chewy pasta that was lukewarm. My seafood platter consisted of smoked salmon, a mousse, prawn Marie rose, and what seemed to be cod bites, which did not meet expectations for a true seafood platter. The restaurant was only half full, yet we were seated in a random manner, missing out on the opportunity to enjoy the lovely conservatory. This visit did not live up to the high standards we had come to expect, and unfortunately, we cannot recommend dining here. This sentiment aligns with other recent reviews we have seen."

"The restaurant offers delicious food and has a very accommodating and friendly staff. It's a great spot for lunch, but it can get crowded. On-site dining is available for brunch at a price range of £20-£30 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a rating of 4 out of 5. Recommended dishes include the Carrot Cake, Chicken Club Sandwich, and Porridge. There is plenty of parking available, with a free parking lot as one of the options."

"Searching for some local dishes while staying in Staithes, we came across Sea Drift. The crab sandwiches, made from locally sourced crab, were delicious. We also tried the freshly made (and warm! Coble cake, which was absolutely wonderful, especially with the supplied pot of cream. The service was fantastic too, quick and friendly. Heartily recommended."

"my daughter, granddaughter and I had afternoon tea here yesterday, the price was £9.95 we were served well i say served we had an afternoon tray plonked on the table containing a cheese sandwich and a Tuna sandwich a small victoria sponge which was so dry we couldn't eat them and a scone with a tiny bit of butter, i asked if we could put a candle in one of the little cakes so my granddaughter could sing happy birthday to her mummy i was huffed at then they forgot to do it, when we had finished a very unhappy waitress came and stuck the candle in a cake. I am extremely upset by the whole experience as £25 does not come easy. i will definitely not be returning"

"We had been to Taste-Bud before for an evening meal and so we were expecting good food, we were not disappointed. Good atmosphere on this not too busy evening, lovely breads to start and then the beautifully presented 3 piece starter, stuffed peppers, mackerel croquette and suckling pork prosciutto, all so tasty, beetroot and Taleggio risotto which was so moreish and then the most lovely guinea fowl and broccoli. I had never had guinea fowl before but it was gorgeous, finished off with strawberry Elton mess with lovely Italian finger biscuits. Lovely bottle of red wine finished the meal well. If you get the chance to visit for an evening meal then do. Great night."

"I rang to see if we could book a party of seven adults and two toddlers for lunch and was told that bookings weren’t possible but “I’m sure we will be able to accommodate you. ” So, in the cars and, having arrived in Cockington, and before parking, I went in and saw the owner who pointed to a table large enough for us all and I said we have to park the cars. I was told that was not a problem. Being Good Friday car parking was a problem. When we returned we found our promised table occupied and we were expected to sit at two separate tables whose parasols offered very limited protection from the rain. When questioning why our promised table was suddenly not available the owners reply was “It was ten minutes before you returned and I thought you weren’t coming back”. I beg your pardon! Upon our initial arrival, and prior to parking, he was made aware we were the party of nine who I had tried to book for earlier that morning. I also made him aware that we had travelled thirty miles. We will never return! I understand that the good rating of Weavers was likely inherited from the previous owners. The School House, just across the road, looked after us brilliantly and we all enjoyed the rest of our day in Cockington."

"Incredible service and incredible food! The staff at this restaurant truly go above and beyond for their customers. When I fell ill and needed a birthday cake for my husband at the last minute, the JJs bakers were closed. The staff at The Coffee Neuk went out of their way to call JJ bakers and ask them to make a cake for me overnight. The girls from The Coffee Neuk then drove to Broxburn to pick it up and brought it to their cafe in Linlithgow, where we celebrated my husband's birthday with a delicious lunch. The food and milkshakes were excellent, and the staff provided outstanding customer service. Thanks to them, my husband had a fantastic birthday with his favorite fajitas, milkshake, and cake. Thank you so much, ladies! He absolutely loved it."

"Visited today Sunday August 2020. Fully appreciate the Covid-19 implications on businesses but now that many are operating once more, we thought we would give our custom at this important time for re-emerging businesses. However, having frequented this establishment many, many times over many years, we were extremely disappointed and shocked at both the lack of customer service and the poor quality/poor value for money and meagre portions. £5.95 for a standard tuna-mayo sandwich is shocking value for money. My wife and I both had the quiche with a side-salad which was more akin to a garnish! My stilton broccoli quiche was flavourless and was a child's portion (as was my wife's). We made the mistake of ordering dessert to cheer ourselves up. My wife described her Victoria sponge as bread like heavy (the exact opposite to what a V.S. should of course be). I chose a fruit scone which was devoid of fruit. Annoyingly, the scone was heated up, rendering it claggy and plastic like and again without flavour and the tiny single butter portion barely sufficed. You win some, you lose some but we are totally perplexed that a business, whose priority should be to ensure repeat business, is serving up food that is inferior to that which it used to provide in the not so distant past, where the quiche was to die for and was accompanied by a wonderful and generous multi-ingredient salad. A warm welcome and some friendly interaction with the customer is also a prerequisite for any business, something that was sadly lacking at this establishment today. Needless to say, we will take our custom elsewhere on our continued frequent visits to Dedham, where I'm sure it will be more appreciated."

"Now, back to the cream tea: it comes with two scones—one plain and one fruit—freshly baked on the premises, along with Rodda's cream, a pot of strawberry jam, and a pot of tea. I think they upgraded our tea pot at no extra cost when I mentioned we were sharing the cream tea. It was more than enough for us to enjoy two cups each. The scones were soft, warm, and a generous size. All the staff were incredibly friendly and chatty, which made the experience even better. There are plenty of tables inside, but the spacious outdoor seating area is a real treat. It's enclosed by glass panels, the grounds are well-maintained, and it's delightful to sit in the sun amidst the flowers, with an old railway line nearby. Inside, there are photographs of the railway when it was still in operation. We also tried bacon sandwiches with salad, but the menu has a lot more to offer, including sausage quiche and various snacks. The service was prompt, and the prices were very reasonable—definitely the best on the island!"

"We went to our choir Christmas party and were extremely let down. The food was low quality, full of carbs, and even the chips were served cold. The room was chilly and only a few brave souls ventured out from under their coats. The pizza slices were cold and dry, the quiches had heavy and soggy pastry, and the sandwich fillings were scant and overwhelmed by bread. The only non-carb option were the cold chips. Even the dessert selection was lacking, with only basic supermarket options available."

"My Husband loves Bakewell Tarts, and as it was his birthday I decided to have a personalized one delivered. I contacted the shop and they were really helpful and efficient. The tart was sent out the next day, myself and my husband live in Amsterdam and I was amazed how fast it arrived and in perfect condition to say it had travelled overseas. The Bakewell tart was very tasty and is one of the nicest we’ve ever had, and thanks again for your organization we will definitely use this service again."

"Popped in here for a coffee after a long walk, only 1 table left, which seated 4 people, there was 2 of us, halfway through drinking our coffee, the older lady, which I think was the owner, came to us and asked how long we were going to be, as there was a family of four waiting for the table and as there was only 2, asked us to give the table up, very rude and un professional, I would not return, I left a quarter of my coffee as she kept returning to the table and I felt forced to leave, and then she charged us full price."

"Our first breakfast out since Dec 2020 and we were very disappointed. We weren't greeted by any staff when entering, many if them didn't even acknowledge us. My drinks order was wrong, I ordered a mocha and was brought a latte but out of politeness and due to the amount of people there I didn't say anything. Food was extremely poor. I ordered eggs benedict and after a 30 minute wait my partner and I were brought another tables food. When ours eventually arrived, my eggs benedict had serano ham (rather than normal ham which it did not state on the menu) which I don't eat. Both pieces of my toast were rock solid, only one piece of toast had hollandaise sauce on (which the sauce itself was like water) and both of my poached eggs were hard. My partner had a BLT which mostly consisted of excessive amounts of lettuce and not much else. We were so looking forward to being able to dine out for breakfast again but were both left pretty disappointed by both the food and the service."
"The menu at this restaurant is a good size, making it possible for the tasty food to be delivered hot and well presented to the table. The prawn baked potato was delicious. The service was excellent and friendly. All necessary precautions were taken, and the check-in procedure was observed to ensure everything was done correctly."

"Delicious brunch we had a mezze to share and shakshuka each for breakfast. But having a table by the door of this compact restaurant when it’s degrees outside made for a poor atmosphere. Each time the door swung open as someone new arrived,...someone came to enquire about a table, or a client from their cafe across the road turned up to use the toilet (yes), the blast of the easterly breeze was hard to ignore. It’s a small restaurant with very tightly squeezed tables (chairs frequently knocked by passers by) and poor sound acoustics (busy brunch service, so very loud). Service was a mixed bag."
