"Had the pork Yorkyoud wrap. To be honest was underwhelming. The pork was only ok, wouldn’t overly rate the quality of the Yorkshire pud either. The stuffing couldn’t taste, and all the apple sauce seemed to be at one end, not evenly spread. Too many carrots for my liking too. Was a shame I was really looking forward to it, guess they go for touristy gimmicks to catch the ample passing trade over quality."

I had a lunch time light bite of bbq smothered chicken which was the size of a normal meal from anywhere else and defo no light night , again value for money. "A lovely country pub in Affetside nr Bolton. It is a very old pub but has been modernised with a lovely large, light conservatory on the back and lots of outside seating. The food was great especially the cheese and onion pie. My friends also very much enjoyed their choices. Great atmosphere, very busy, I definitely recommend you book, even during the week. We were there Thursday evening and it was full either no spare seating. The small desserts with coffee for £7.50 are perfect for those who love a desserts but struggle to eat a full one after a main course"

"Eggs Benedict? NOT! So, I hate leaving low rating reviews. But there are times when it 's necessary. This morning I met a friend at the Chalet. I ordered Eggs Benedict. Now, in my 65 years, I 've ordered this as a breakfast choice all over the world. It 's usually always the same for standard benedict....poached eggs, atop Canadian bacon, on an english muffin, with Hollandaise sauce. What did I get at Chalet? 2 over easy eggs on top of deli sliced ham; yes there was an english muffin, but the Hollandaise sauce barely covered the eggs. Without a doubt the worst Eggs Benedict I 've ever had."

"We were two families, so a rather large group of 9 people. The staff were friendly but very disorganised. We all asked for hot drinks and various cakes, but we had to remind them a couple of times that something was still missing. They brought us one tea too many but 'kindly ' told us to have it anyway. And then we got charged for it! A lovely place with a great shop too, but the summer staff need a bit of training."

"We popped in here just on the off chance to see if they did vegan options and the staff were lovely and accommodating. I chose the sundried tomato and red pepper hummus with huge chunks of delicious homemade beetroot bread. Hubby chose the spinach, sundried tomato hummus and roasted red pepper flatbread both of which were amazing and tailored for us. They also offered us vegan cheese and butter."

"A wonderful place to stop for lunch or a quick coffee and cake! Staff are so friendly and patient as we often changed our minds given the array of choice. I had a cherry hot chocolate and I would come again just for that! My friend said it was the best coffee she had ever had. The prices are ridiculously reasonable and there was a good selection for my veggie friend. Since going we haven't stopped talking about it and are desperate to return. Lovely little place!"

"Wow. What a fantastic and memorable evening. We celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary and chose to stay local rather than travel into London, which is our usual venue for celebrating. We were so pleased with the decision. The food was outstanding and the service matched. We were welcomed and seated in the bar and attended too by very friendly and professional staff. We ordered from the bar before being ushered to our table in the dining room. The table was enclosed with a circular high back seat which provided a truly romantic and intimate experience. The waiter and the manager were very attentive, but not at all intrusive. The food was amazing arriving in generous portions. We were very well looked after and will definitely book again!"

"Just returned home from having a delicious Christmas lunch with 3 friends. Starters was a very tasty prawn cocktail. Main was turkey with all the trimmings and cooked to perfection I have to add.... my compliments to the chef!! The service was extremely good. The waitress was very pleasant and cheerful. Nothing was too much to ask. The venue was amazing ... clean and airy with beautifully decorated Christmas trees. The atmosphere was very calm with a good view of the airport. "We had a late weekday lunch at Beatties in July 2021. We sat outside in the square, along with a number of other customers. Service was slow and in the end I went in, to be told that they would come out and take our order, despite us having sat there for at least 10 minutes with no sign of any staff. The food was generally ok, the milkshake we had didn’t really taste of anything (should have been banana) however the sandwich and ploughmans were tasty. We subsequently ordered a scone each but unfortunately there were only plain scones available by that time. Due to the wait, we were given complimentary drinks, but this really shouldn’t have been necessary. Whilst there were a few tables taken outside, inside was virtually empty, so it was hard to know where all the staff were. The lady operating the till seemed flustered whilst a young lad bringing out the food seemed to lack the impetus to clear any tables or take orders until instructed to do so, meaning that several tables loaded with dirty dishes and cups were left for quite a long time, with several people walking away after seeing this, so a loss of custom there.Overall food was ok, but the service was distinctly lacklustre on what was a weekday afternoon with relatively normal level of demand."

"Heathrow Terminal 2 has become my home in Europe. I 've spent more time in this airport compared to any other and finding food is CRITICAL to surviving the trek over the Atlantic. I 've tried pretty much ALL the restaurants here and unequivocally, EAT is my favourite place. From the drinks, to the selection, to the costs... its the only place that makes you feel good in the air after eating while still being able to walk onto the plane thinking your wallet is intact. Though I know other places offer 'picnic ' lunches... none of them compare in price, quality, quantity, and variety as creating your own packed lunch from here. I often grab a fruit salad, main salad or wrap or sandwich, and a treat to go. I often grab a soy latte as well to keep me awake while flying back home. I love how the soy is not an extra charge. Their dirty chai soy latte is pretty good for an airport (thats a chai soy latte with a shot of espresso! . I 've eaten their falafel salad, cranberry turkey sandwich, and their roast sandwich... in addition to a dozen other options. I can safely say that they 're all as good as restaurant quality OUTSIDE the airport. They may not be Michelin quality but non have been soggy, terribly underseasoned, limp, or disgusting... everything here is good. As for the treats... their millionare shortbread is good. Gooey caramel on top of a tender shortbread and topped with chocolate. It 's a good treat for those who want to indulge beyond the fruit salads offerings. Another 2 great things about this place... it has ports for you to recharge your phones while eating AND it has screens built into their seating area showing the flights and gates. I really like coming here and relaxing with the latte while they waiting to post gate information. It can get busy here during lunches and their wait staff do get a bit overwhelmed clearing the tables but overall, most times it is super clean and a good place to relax while in Term 2 ... unless you 're in the Singapore Kris lounge but thats another story altogether!"
