"Popped in for a pub lunch with a good friend, I did call earlier and Elise the busy busy manager said no need to book and looked forward to seeing us. It was easy to find and it has an outside area and car park. We arrived to a busy pub serving food from hot beef sandwiches which looked fab to burritos and fish and chips .. good tasty pub fare. I plumped for a battered fish sandwich served with chunky chips and a salad my friend fish and chips all served fresh and yummy and all washed down with Timothy Taylor’s landlord beer: Puds we’re cheesecake homemade and ice cream all delicious. Special mention for the hard working friendly staff who made our visit even more enjoyable."

Got there just as the kitchen was closing and they stayed on to give us what I can only describe as the best food I've ever had in a pub, and some of the best I've ever had in any restaurant. Jo, behind the bar, was warm and fantastic. And we had the added pleasure of meeting Pete and Stanley Baxter while there...yes, ask to meet Stanley...he's a rare treat! Thanks all. View menu

This charming village pub has recently reopened under new management with Tom and his team. I am confident that it will continue to thrive. There is a small car park available, but parking on the road is also an option. The price per person typically ranges from £20 to £30. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks, with plenty of parking available including a free parking lot.

We had 2 Atlantic prawn cocktail starters and they are generous with the prawns which is something I like to see. We had a 10oz sirloin steak cooked to perfection and a 12oz Gammon steak so tender and juicy. The chips are not just chips don’t be tricked these chips in dripping we’re just the best I’ve ever had. The beer a good price and nice to see coke at £2 a glass. Dear The Knapton lion do not change anything you are doing. Dear customers please go along and discover your taste buds because right now your missing out
