The York Roast Co. - Menu

Came here while visiting York, was pretty disappointed firstly I’d ordered a vegetarian wrap and they gave me a meat one so that had to be changed and secondly bad bits of turkey in my partners, rest of it was average!

Family of four really enjoyed the delicious Yorkshire pudding meals. Veggie wrap, veggie meal, pork meal and beef meal all sampled and all delicious. Warm and comforting food during a cold day in the centre of York. Highly recommend a stop off here!

Really tasty food, great twist for a non-roast lover! Ordered extra stuffing balls which were nice but a bit dense. Would be a five star review if it hadn’t been such a long wait to order/be served, but I guess thats the problem with it...being so popular! View menu

Went here today and wow. The pork was lovely juicy very fresh! Stuffing was amazing according to my little boy the roast potatoes was simply amazing. Going to try the Yorkshire pudding wrap next time. Also a staff member offered to take my...partners order to her as she was upstairs with my boy. Amazing gesture!

I’ve been wanting to try here for ages and I was so looking forward to trying the famous Yorkshire Pudding Wrap but what a disappointment. The wrap itself was chewy, there were hardly any vegetables and the Pork was practically one big chunk of fat....To top it off the whole wrap was barely even luke warm. Will not be recommending and will definitely not be returning.

So was slightly peckish this evening and decided to grab a quick hot beef Sandwich. People,honestly I was literally crying with laughter as my meat was put on scales,then taken off, a small piece taken off, then weighed again..WTF seriously at a sandwich...it’s worth going just for the entertainment factor of watching them mess about with a slice of beef for minutes…class View menu

Had passed a couple of times and it smelled gorgeous. So went in about on a Sunday night. Had the pork Yorkshire pudding wrap. It was ok, but the Yorkshire pudding was a bit chewy and the pork was big chunks. Really liked the...cup of mashed potatoes though, they were lovely with gravy on top. The seating area wasn’t very clean, although they probably had had a very use day.

The posters on the wall inside claim Filled to perfection Sadly, they did not come anywhere near to perfection with the food. I have never had such a disgusting meal as I had in this establishment. The large yorkshire pudding was not even freshly cooked...or crispy. The roast potatoes were like rubber and very difficult to cut with a plastic knife. The vegetables were overcooked and the whole meal was stone cold. I like my hot food to actually be hot, not luke warm or cold. The only part vaguely edible was the meat. It was a total rip-off and I would never eat in one of these establishments again. I would sooner go to McDonalds, and I hate McDonalds.

As a huge fan of Yorkshire pudding I was quite excited when I saw what was in the window, gorgeous roast meats and yorkshires. I had a Yorkshire wrap and asked for pork only. I asked for a side of roasters and a small gravy....I expected this to be served on a plate but alas not, the wrap was served in a piece of grease proof paper and the roasters in a drinks takeaway cup. We took our food upstairs, (not the cleanest) and I unwrapped the wrap, this was not only pork, in fact! The pork was negligible, it had veg in there when I had asked for meat only. I had to eat it with a knife and fork on the paper on the tray. Not the best experience. Just a glorified fast food restaurant. View menu
