"Came here with a friend. I had finished my dish before his arrived. He was waiting 25 minutes for his food. They forgot to put his order through apparently. This is unacceptable. The worst Nandos ever. Food was great but service was abysmal."

"We were a party of 10 adults and 3 children, greeted and made to feel welcome by Olivia who looked after us brilliantly all evening. We had various menu choices and every dish was excellent with each person being served at the same time. The other waitresses assisting Olivia also did a fantastic job, the whole experience ensured a great evening for my wife’s birthday. Look forward to seeing you again soon. "I and my engaged were greeted by a very friendly employee who asked where we would like to sit instead of just adding somewhere I thought to be a nice note. we were told by the specials and advised about drinks etc. the menu has exactly the right choice, not too overwhelming, and the prices are appropriate for the inner city kitchen. we ordered a special ronaldo and a C-Rex burger to share between us, with sweet kartoffel friries and regular fries. they can have the rindburgers cooked to their taste, although they recommend medium, that is great! eating was incredible, probably the best burgers we have ever eaten; all the aromes worked together and the portion sizes are great for the price. the only thing I would say is that the burgers can get messy, so that the provision of wet wipes would be useful, as serviettes do not sometimes do justice. also the regular fries were very cut, would be nice to see them thicker and perhaps with the skin on. service during the meal was perfect and although we have dessert, their lists of puddings looked incredible, so will definitely save space at the next visit, which hopefully will be very soon!"

"Polite and welcoming staff. Four people at the table for 12 noon lunch. Two choices were immediately unavailable fish and chips and lasagne. Or birthday girl had been looking forward to her fish and chips treat. No obvious gluten free options for one of our table. Helpful waiting staff helped with this. Creamy seafood linguini lacked creamy texture. Mentioned to staff. Little or no meringue in the mini Eaton mess. Other mini pudds were excellent, though were served after coffee had long been drunk. Service was exceptionally slow and was clearly not the fault of the waitress who was helpful throughout, though she appeared embarrassed at everyone’s long wait around our area of the restaurant. A busy pub but by no means full. I hope that my comments are useful to aid your staff training. The Cowherds setting was a very pleasant way to catch up with friends and mark a significant birthday. "We were able to enjoy the new dining area upstairs which was a fantastic atmosphere. We ate buffalo chicken wings, the Argentinan steak loaded fries, the original chicken loaded fries, frickles, a gooey brownie and we brought some sausages home for the dogs (completely dog-friendly ingredients . All of the food was SUPERB and the service was great. The beer and drink selection is awesome and we would definitely partake in latenight drinks and nibbles here (open till midnight!! and whilst we didn't have the dogs with us this time, it's DOG FRIENDLY!! These guys have done such an amazing job with this restaurant and just keep going from strength to strength. Definitely check them out when in Aberdeen."

"This pub is fantastic, offering a friendly atmosphere and delicious food at affordable prices. I really appreciate the original charm and character of the place. Unlike some other pubs we visited nearby, this one was welcoming to everyone, including crusty old bikers like myself. I will definitely be returning to dine here again."

"popped in to order some food and the smell of the food was yummy, young family eating at the table...it was busy...I thought this must be good ,judging by the orders the chef had to cook... I went for the chef's special wrap I ordered, can of coke and crunchy fries, should be enough... the price was very reasonable and when asking about the sauces, all homemade on the premises. i went for mango and lime. got the order and sat at the table...oh my god!! this is way better than nandos.... if you want proper healthy food then come to chickie one in Bournemouth. I will be ordering here again..."

"Myself, husband and son were in Windsor for the day as part of my son's 18th Birthday celebrations. Where we went for lunch was his pick and he really fancied a burger so Gourmet Burger Kitchen seemed an obvious choice. I have to say I'm not the biggest burger fan so the thought of a burger restaurant didn't thrill me. Firstly we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff who quickly sat us down. The menu choice was impressive and despite initial reservations I found several items that sounded tempting. I decided to opt for the Chargrilled Chicken Satay Burger and went for the bunless option. My son had The Mighty with fries and onion rings and the husband had The Major Tom with the addition of avocado and bacon. Drinks wise we had an Oreo milkshake, Ginger Beer and a makeshift Mocha as it is not something on their menu but our helpful server was very quick to oblige and create a Mocha for us. For someone who was decidedly underwhelmed at the thought of a burger restaurant it was the most delicious meal I've had in a long time. My bunless burger was served with Homeslaw and corn in place of a bun, a very nice substitute. As for my husband and son ...well firstly my son was beaten by his massive burger which is a first big my husband polished off his. In conclusion great food made even better by the fabulous staff. Thank you we will be back next time we visit."

"A mixed review, venue is OK, staff friendly, tables and seating area outside could do with a good sweep thorough and clean. Toilets were pretty disgusting in the ladies. We arrived at around 6 on a Friday, it wasn't busy by any means, but perhaps there was a reason for this! We had two meals, one fish and chips, which my other half says was edible. I unfortunately went for one of the specials, langoustine tails with pasta. I anticipated given it is on the coast, the tails would be spot on and pasta in a lovely rich sauce. The langoustine tails were like rubber, the spaghetti had been either broken, or chopped into pieces around 4 long, and all was luke warm and floating in a rather worrying clear liquid which had no taste whatsoever. Sprinkled with cheese of an inane sort. This and our drinks cost over £40. No we didn't complain, and should have done at the time, but I just didn't want the hassle quite honestly. V disappointed as we don't get away often and the meal was supposed to be a relaxing start of our weekend away."

"We can fault nothing about our experience at Monteiths. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was really pleasant. But the stars of the show was the food...where do we start?! Starters: they were generous, incredibly flavoursome and really beautifully presented. This was the best smoked haddock I've ever eaten. And the haggis starter was wonderful. See photos Main courses: the pork belly was sublime and looked stunning. The sauce/jus that came with it had a depth of flavour that was outstanding. The venison with mushroom had a range of full-bodied flavours and was cooked to perfection. Desserts: we were ambitious to go for dessert was we were quite full, but couldn't resist tasting more of this amazing food. Lemon brulee looked so pretty but packed such a range of flavours. The dark chocolate mousse was extremely moreish. See photos All in all, a truly amazing dining experience."

"Have been to this restaurant on a couple of occasions previously and had really good food, this was the reason why I decided to book this place for my dads birthday. We were a family of 17 booked in for lunch and we all had a 3 course lunch with many of us ordering steak. I have to complement the chef as the steaks were cooked very well and we all enjoyed the food. The service was also good, particularly from one girl unfortunately I didn’t catch her name but she was very attentive throughout the meal and very helpful with all our requests. The reason why I have to give a one star for this restaurant was because of the supposed management policy on not allowing us to cut or eat the birthday cake we had bought in following our meal. The reason the manager gave for not allowing this was ridiculous and not something I have ever experienced in any restaurant. What made it even more frustrating was the fact that we weren’t made aware of this when we gave the birthday cake to staff when we first came into the restaurant. We weren’t allowed to eat our own birthday cake that we had bought in because of allergy issues and the restaurant won’t take responsibility if any issues arise. I had baked the cake myself and obviously know if my family have any allergies. The manager I spoke with was not very apologetic or helpful at all. Seemed like once they have your money they don’t care about customer service afterwards. We spent over £500 in this restaurant and what was suppose to be a special occasion was utterly ruined by this managers attitude. It’s such a shame as before this happened everyone was saying how much they enjoyed the food and how they’ll be back, but this has left a sour taste and none of us will be back or recommend this place to anyone else. Just a warning for others who may want to have a special occasion in this restaurant as they also hire out a private dining room you won’t be allowed to bring your own cake in to eat."

"I have heard good things about The Oak Room and we were not disappointed, except upon arrival they did not seem to have our reservation. However, we were quickly seated and enjoyed drinks in the lounge before our meal in the main restaurant. After inquiring if it was a special occasion, it was a nice touch to have my wife's dessert served with a birthday message while a pianist played a quiet rendition of Happy Birthday. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable, making for a very pleasant evening that will definitely bring us back for another visit."

"Went for a family celebration meal. Service was very attentive and friendly with no airs and graces – just solid, down-to-earth Yorkshire friendliness. As The Bay Horse was always first and foremost a traditional 'pub ', they have had to adapt over the years to focus on the food offering and I think they have managed it really well – the small menu still manages to cater for most tastes and they were easily able to cater for 'off menu ' requests (none of the 'sorry, that 's how the meal comes ' nonsense you get in chain restaurants). The food came out promptly, was nice and hot, and it certainly all appeared to be freshly-cooked. Yes, we had a couple of hiccups (one meal was accidentally missed off for example), but it was dealt with sensibly. Prices were a little on the high side for pub food, but to be fair, we have seen that quite a lot recently so I assume it 's just inflation (for example, simple things like bangers and mash, that I 'd normally expect to be around £12, were £16). Overall we were very happy with our food and managed to eat almost every last bit, although that left some of us feeling rather full as the portions are quite generous."

"We came here for dinner last night and wished we hadn’t to be honest. We ordered a cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, hot dog, two fries and an onion rings. We had two vanilla shakes and a glass of wine. It came to £40 which is expensive but we went with it. However when it arrived it was the worst burgers I’ve ever had. I actually feel offended calling them burgers. They were the thinnest, most pathetic, tasteless bits of brown rubber. The hot dog (although made wrong with a big squirt of Alioli up the middle was awful too. Thankfully they replaced that for my wee boy. Everything was fried within an inch of its life and served in a bit of tinfoil. The staff although helpful clearly aren’t cooks and just young boys and girls clearly being shown how to shove some chips in a fryer and a thin burger on a hot plate. Gutted as it gets such good reviews and we left a decent pub/restaurant to go here. Wine was like vinegar but milkshakes probably the best we have tasted. Won’t be back ever"

"Disappointed! Good for a night out but sadly they weren’t very well prepared for a hen night party that was booked over a year ago… Also, the food was tasty but wasn’t what the menu stated eg: sweet potato mash was actually 6 tiny cubes of sweet potato and we had to ask for things that were missing like onion rings or ice cream from puddings ! If they would have explained there issues to us before we had to complain then it wouldn’t have been so bad. If it was just for a birthday that you can redo another time but this was for a one off special occasion (Hen do). They only really offered us 2 bottles of Prosecco to apologise (and a bigger booth with decorations which we had actually already paid for anyway). They didn’t know what package we had actually paid for!! The actual staff serving us were fine and the cocktail instructor but it just seemed that management didn’t seem to be prepared for a hen party. Would go back for a random night out but wouldn’t advise going for such a special occasion."

"On the day that myself and a friend went to The George for lunch it was very busy. We had booked thankfully but rather than be shown to our table the man behind the bar pointed toward the restaurant and said we were in the corner. After sitting for 20minutes I caught the eye of a female serving staff who said she'd be with us in 2 minutes.......15 more minutes later I managed to get the attention of a lovely member of staff. She was less than impressed that we had not be asked if we wanted drinks by the man at the bar, who apparently had also failed to tell us when we arrived, that there was a 45 60 minute wait for food. True to her word our food was the next served so we waited for 45 minutes. The food was tasty but definitely not worth the wait. We had booked for 12.30 but were eating closer to 2pm. I expect The George would be ideal on quieter days but it appeared that they struggled to cater for large numbers. Very disappointed."

"The food at this restaurant was fantastic! I highly recommend trying the garlic bread with cheese, it was absolutely delicious. However, the service was a bit slow as we had to wait about 15/20 minutes to place our order. There was also a slight confusion with payment, as we had already paid when another person asked us if we were paying with cash or card. Despite this, the staff were very polite. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 5. I would consider this place for a dine-in dinner option, with prices ranging from £10-20 per person."

"This is the most fabulous place. We loved it. We are a group of friends staying for a weekend at Mawgan Porth.. and after a lovely walk along the coast path on Sunday afternoon popped in, hoping we could just get a drink but thought that might not be welcome being a Sunday lunchtime and not wanting to eat. Well.... we needn't have worried. They could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Gave us a massive table all together (with the dog... and gave her biscuits)... and of course... one drink became several.... and we then decided we would have some small plates of food too. The food was fabulous... the service and friendliness exceptional. Highly recommend and thank you Gareth and the team for a great time. Vegetarian options: I had the mushroom soup. It was delicious Dietary restrictions: One of our friends is gluten free... everything was checked and catered for Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Booked for lunch with friends. Looked after really well by staff. My fish pie came with a personal recommendation and was delicious. Others in our group were equally satisfied with their choices and we were left too full for pudding. Lovely atmosphere in the bar. Food drinks: Excellent food for our lunch. Steak Pie, fish and chips, and an excellent fish pie. Prompt service with friendly staff. Service: 5"
