"I booked a table for an early dinner. The look of the place is the now compulsory 'East London industrial shabby chic' but it is done tastefully and the candlelit space looks nice in the evenings. It would be a very romantic venue were it not for the proximity of tables. You can hear every word they whisper at the next table but that is an issue with most London restaurants.Staff was very cordial and the service was good. Food came very quickly and there was always a member of staff on hand it was early in the evening and only a third all tables were occupied so I cannot say how they cope when the place is full. The homemade lemonade was a glass of water with a few drops of lemon, you could barely taste the fruit, but I was there for the food after all.I ordered three vegetarian tapas dishes: sweet potato with dates and walnuts, aubergine with tomatoes, beetroot and apple and romanesco with beetroot and almonds.I was curious about the potato dish as I wanted to see how they would balance the sweetness of ingredients and, unfortunately, they didn't. It felt as if you were eating a dessert. The salad creamlike dressing on the aubergine completely drowned the flavour of what was supposed to be the main ingredient and the romanesco was overcooked and, same as sweet potatoes, drowning in the sea of grasses coriander, rocket et al..Food was not terrible but it was below average and, at a dish, slightly overpriced for what it tasted like, however it is still per dish cheaper than what you would be charged in many tapas bars in Soho"
