"We have visited here a few times looking for a favourite coffee place in Salisbury; sadly it is not the one. It has a great location in the centre in a very old building (hence the 1268 in the name) but it operates really as a cafe doing breakfasts and snack meals with very little by way of cakes etc. They make their own cakes, and to be honest, my wife bakes much better as the cakes I have had are dry and don't have much flavour. Often there is no choice but one and never more than two cakes with just cellophane wrapped biscuits or occasionally flapjacks (again, not great) as alternatives. The coffee is okay but there is as good elsewhere with much better baked goods. Sorry, really wanted to love this place."

Independent business, really friendly staff. Clean and comfortable. Food freshly prepared and quality ingredients! Children loved the fish finger sandwiches!

Lovely friendly staff but they’ve changed their menu and not for the better. Selection has been greatly reduced and portions are much smaller but prices have remained the same. Disappointed

The friendly staff were kind enough to give us some hot water to warm my baby granddaughters bottle feed. However along side this we ordered a coffee for my daughter and a pot of tea for myself, when these were brought to us we were horrified at the state of the crockery, it was stained and dirty and my daughter's coffee actually had a hair floating in it........obviously we couldn't drink it so we left, won't be visiting there again.
