almost on the top of the old staircase the room offers, on the outside, a unique setting. dishes of the typical Calabrian cuisine are very successful and abundant. we ate n'dujia fusilli, goat macaroni, stuffed eggplants. a pleasure. the prices contained. highly recommended. do not forget the reservation.

A romantic setting with enthusiastic and friendly staff. Delicious traditional food cooked to order, and excellent value. A real find in a lovely setting well worth the trek to get there. Unique Amaro cocktails to round the evening off. We've been coming to Scalea for 12 years and can't believe we have not found it before.

besides being located in a very suggestive place of high stairs, you eat well. special and very various appetizers. excellent value for money. accurate service. we were on September 26 and we loved so much that the 28 we were there again. only open for dinner. reachable by car parking at the Norman castle and then walking along the alleyways of the enchanting staircase. I would give 4 stars to motivate you to do better and better, but it deserves 5 and therefore 4 1 !!! 2 aperitivi calabresi buonissimi delicious and surely homemade... a first perhaps with a little extra oil but being a trattoria with the t maiuscola there is everything! grilled meat, perhaps too much bacon compared to other cuts of meat but in the complex cooked well! appetizer advice, first and a little outlines... well and the calabrese sausage!

I have been here several times as I had a house nearby. It ranged from OK to really poor. One of these times, I made the mistake of bringing a group of my Italian friends here (I was new to the area and did not know any better as to where there might be restaurants that I could take them to for our special occasio). Thinking it would be a special treat for them, I was beyond embarrassed and disappointed at the amount, quality, and preparation of the food. I never went back. The choice is yours.

An atmospheric place very close to the highest point of old town. The guys do not speak english at all, and even do not have english menu, but anything we randomly chose was delicious! Antipasti huge portion for 2 (vegetables, meats, cheese, salami, fried zucchini pancakes . Pasta with beans and picanto olive oil It was something extraordinary! unexpectedly reach of taste! also could be shared for 2. Mix of meats fried pork, beef and 1 cotlete. After the above we just took it away home, and enjoyed the breakfast next day. Taking into account the size of portions and the quality of food, i can not say the place is expensive.
