"We visited the restaurant in the late afternoon and ordered the meal for 2: houmus, fattoush and mixed starter (2 cheese rolls, 2 falafel, 2 lamb kibbeh and 2 slices of grilled halloumi) which all came with plenty of bread. The mixed grill was huge and came with chips, rice and more salad (lovely and fresh) and consisted of chicken shawarma, lamb and chicken kebabs, chicken wings and chicken and lamb shisha. Every bite of every dish was absolutely delicious and the meal could probably have fed 4 people ... we were offered the bits we couldn’t finish to takeaway but were staying in a hotel so unfortunately couldn’t take it. A superb value for money meal. The service was good and the staff were friendly. I look forward to going back again soon."

Really tasty food served quickly and with very friendly service. Not the cheapest but very generous portions. The Mandi chicken was delicious, finished off with a lovely coffee

Good spot to go for Mediterranean food. (Syrian) Had the falafel wrap and the shawarma chicken wrap. Very good. Coffee and Baklawa was very good too. Would definitely visit again if I am in the area.

They really should consider changing their name to ABU JAYIF because the place is UTTERLY SMELLY and SO REVOLTINGLY RANCID as one can only feel the urge to vomit upon the entrance of such a Ghastly Dining establishment!!! View menu

Two years ago, many people left Abu Zaad and went to Ayam Zaman and I was one of them. The reason was the food was not fresh etc. But, since the new manager arrived everything has changed. The food is freshly cooked and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I started using Abu Zaad instead of Ayam Zaman, and I am very impressed with the changes.

What a great and affordable meal! I was with 6 other friends, so we proceeded to order a significant portion of the menu. And it was all really good. But the fan favorite was the Mix Grill (lamb fillet, lamb kofta, shish taouk Jawaneh, and shawerma served with chips and rice). We did not leave hungry. And when we got the bill, I was amazed at the price! So affordable. Definitely worth a try.

Visited here on a very busy night so had to queue outside for a short while. Once inside seated in the middle of some large family gatherings so was very vibrant. Asked waitress for recommendations and have to say immensely pleased. Starters and mains were great and very authentic. Desserts and tea at the end to end a very pleasant dining experience. A very special thank you to the manager and waitress for a 5* customer service. View menu

Abu Zaad is situated on the Uxbridge Road just across the road from Shepherds Bush Market tube station. We were able to get a table without booking at around 7 o’clock on a warm Saturday evening. To start, we had a couple of aubergine based dishes. Moutabal aubergine in tahini sauce) and Baba Ganouj aubergine with sweet peppers) accompanied by Saj bread. Both were delicious and filling, so much so that I was unable to finish my main course of Lamb Mandi lamb with sultanas, cashew nuts and rice). To drink, we had Ayran a salty yoghurt based beverage) and mint tea. The food was good as was the service. Cost was around £20 per head.

Abu Zaad is a Syrian restaurant with a touch of Morocco. There were 3 of us we ordered 3 starters a targine. These came with a plentiful supply of flat breads. We were stuffed full our son eats very well. The salad was so fresh and delicious, as were the other dishes. We shared all the food so you get to taste more things it would have been even better with more people so that we could have tried more things. Price was also great £45 . If we had had a beer each, it would have been closer to £60 but as we haven’t paid less than £100 for the 3 of us it was great value. After we asked for the bill they gave us a free muhallebi an orange essence flavoured milk dessert.
