"visited the restaurant with a few friends on a Saturday night. we ordered most tapas dishes on the menu and were really happy with most. the ceviche and red thunfish were excellent, as well as the spicy mushrooms. I have to. that while I was advertised as "poulpo de la abuela" and more ugly this was the worst otopus court I ever had! the otopus was chewing as gum and tasted nothing like what I am used to in small tapas restaurants in Spain or in some of the best restaurants in london and dubai. none of us could eat the court and we asked to give it back, but it was booked anyway! a respectable restaurant knows how to treat customers and agree that the customer is right, while in this case the management argued that the oktopus was perfect. this justifies my review for customer service, the quality of the home dish, will mean, unfortunately, that I do not recommend back to this place and not."

Best tapas in town. Ask for croquetas with spinach and mushroom. So yummy. Good old Manchego with truffle.

Had a wonderful time at Abuela last night. We were walking with friends on this street close to Pigalle and felt good vibes in the place. Food, music and the staff were so perfect!! We will be back for sure!

This is my favourite tapas bar in Paris! Great food and excellent service: they meet you with a smile and the guys working in the restaurant are spanish and very friendly! I love the gambas a la plancha and their aioli sauce. Price are ok...for Paris, but expensive if compared with Spain, especially for beers, patatas bravas and tortilla. View menu

strategically not far from martyrs and anvers, we went to lunch there and it was a bad experience. the internally combined small tables, high sitting opportunities and music quickly too loud to speak -hard a setting to have a conversation lunch break on a work...day eating was ok, but came in stingy quantities. try to change the menu of the Starter main dish for only starter, and was charged for the same price. Although the owner is affable and made his best, I can't say I'll ever eat there again. I would drink with tapas in the evening, with some friends who are not too much together as the place is quite small.

it was a rainy day in paris when we stumbled over this place. there was the perfect high table for two in the window and we had delicious tapas and excellent Spanish wein laid by a very accommodating and welcoming host. the best Patatas band I've ever had and the most incredible meatballs. the only court we were not sharp was an octopus court, which was the most expensive one we had ordered, was chewing and blanching. other than that, I would definitely recommend especially for couples. the upper floor is quite small. they have a sitting area in the ground floor, but his rather creepy and not very nice to sit and eat. it is worth waiting for a room up.
