"Afternoon Tea was booked by my wife as a surprise for my birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Dedicated quiet area for Afternoon Tea, shown to table, waitress Sandra was so lovely, very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble. Asked if sandwiches could be free from mayonnaise, no problem at all, lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches brought out, scones were absolutely delicious. Nice touch was small carafe of water with lemon brought to table as well. Endless tea and coffee on request, would definately recommend and would love to go back."

during the service was excellent, eating was nice, but more like mini-smucker not afternoon, would not recommend if they are hungry, I jokingly said where mine when the teetop size tower arrived

The food and service were really good, the staff couldn't do enough for you and gave the birthday girl a free bottle of prosecco! The only downside was children being allowed to play on the piano (not in a good way!! , which was a disturbance!

eating was served by an rude waitress who recommended that she was not on the afternoon tee today when she put ours down, they did not advise what the sandwiches or cakes were, I had to ask for a coffee! cakes were very dry obviously frozen, would not give the total waste of the gelding back, very disappointed! we have made a offer on wowcher, it was about £32 for 4 of us. eating was good, just the right amount, the personal was friendly. the only thing I can say is that we have never been offered a refill for our coffee / tee, who asked personal if we were in order, but we had finished by then. overall a beautiful tasty we enjoyed

It was a quiet afternoon when we visited with only 3 other tables occupied but there are a lot of building works going on and the workmen were back and forwards through the tea room area constantly. The afternoon tea itself was very poor, just 3 finger sandwiches, tiny cakes that had either been defrosted or had been kept too cold in a fridge. The were tasteless and dry. The scone tasted nice but was obviously a few days old as it crumbled immediately I cut into it. Very disappointing.
