"The restaurant is trying to trap customers with a 12% service fee on top of the expenses. We left before ordering anything, as we saw the statement in small fonts at the bottom of the menu. Outside on their window, the statement was partially blacked out. I know that some Italian restaurants charge coperto and that's totally fine if they're transparant with their customers from the get-go. It doesn't sit well with me when they're trying to hide it. It's a very cosy area and has very nice decor. Everything else is mediocre to bad. The main waiter was very impatient and very condescending. We felt unwelcome basically. Eventually he sent someone else to take our order. The food was mediocre to bad. Expensive dishes but that's expected from a place like Venice, but the quality did not match the price.
